    Countdown.
    Ian 'Molly' Meldrum interviewing British ska-pop band Madness in London. The band speak about their success in Australia, particularly with the hit single 'One Step Beyond' and other hit singles.
    Countdown was a very popular Australian pop music program on the ABC-TV; most notable for bringing initial mainstream success to acts like Blondie, Meatloaf, John Cougar Mellencamp, the Motels and Billy Idol.

    Goddamn, I just love Madness! They're so cute, and besides that-- genius! I can't say I hate any of their songs. And I find that the songs that are less familiar to people-- like Our House etc, are the best songs by Madness. And Suggs is an angel, isn't he? They all are! Fuck, I'd love to see the 80s!

      Ummm Our House was a big to really big hit single Worldwide + the album it came off: Rise + Fall was a hit + big hit in many countries....So confused here-You said etc so what other songs were you thinking of...I know you posted this a very longtime ago but still

    Oh! Bedders and Woody are looking GOOD!! I love Bedders' voice. Cute!
    Does anyone know what bedders says after " I don't know, we're just on our own..." when Chris and Suggs are 'attacking him? :)

    They wuz just kids! This screened on TV in Australia in April 1981 but was filmed in January 1981 - that means Suggs was 20 or almost 20, Woody was already 20, Bedders was 19, while Chrissy Boy was the elder statesman at the wise old age of 24!

    Ahhh the 1980's what a great decade, Another video from the 80's with no dodgy hair styles, crazy clothes, Some people did and some people didn't-My dad and few other people I knew growing up never had a mullet or puffy hair and wore Lacoste, Ralph Lauren, Checked, Shirts or Logo T-Shirts with Blue or Black Jeans with White, Black, Blue Red, Green, etc Nike/Adidas, Puma, etc trainers.......Bomber jackets or Leather Jackets etc
