- Some old footage featuring interviews with Madness band members and some live clips of gigs from the 1979 film/ documentary "British Rock - Ready For The 80's"...
There wasn't enough footage to re edit the music clips and upload them as full tracks, so I've just uploaded what there was as it is on the original film...
It might be of interest to some Madness fans out there... :-) - Hudba
Very cool, I haven’t seen this clip before, and this was them at their most open and joyful in the early days. What a great live band. I interviewed Suggs, Mark (bass guitar) and Woody (drummer) in 1982 for a youth magazine I was editing… they were so friendly and down to earth. Got invited to join them and friends for a baseball game later that summer in Primrose Hill. I was 19.
So much energy!!
It's so sad I was only eight years old, to live those glorious days and dance along the Maddies and the rest of the the two tone bands in a full of swing with a toniic suit and a Trilby or a Pork Pie hat .Madness for life ,The Kinks of the eighties.
xavier de Cozar It was a great era to grow up in.
My youth was great with these guys.
I bet mate 👍
Unmatched talent and energy
Pretty performative and derivative but you boomers do you

At 4:48 I beleive the promo poster of "My Girl" shows the band's girlfriends at the time....each matching how their other halves appear on actual cover of the 7" single release.
I'm sure the girl on the bottom middle (with the V neck jumper and scratching her head) is Chris Forman's missus who appears briefly with him in the film "Take it or Leave it"
Correct. Her name is Susan :)
That seems about right, given that they imitate the pictures of the band members, top left would be Woody's girlfriend, middle top would be Mike's, top right Suggs', bottom left'd be Mark's, middle bottom would be Chris' and bottom right Lee's!
Only sexist morons say "missus"
@@VaginaninjaGrow up! 🙄
the best time to be alive.
Madtastic love this band and still going strong 35 years later always will be ONE STEP BEYOND....
Barson is a genius.
QUALITY! brought me right back 😜👍❤️🌞🙏😎
Chas Smash, simply the best mover !!!
Agreed! Never understood why he stopped this completely?!
I live in Belfast in the dark days as we called the70s 80s we didn't get to see live bands TOTPs and radios discos was the best we had. I Heard madness 1979 old grey whistle test and that was me hooked on Ska but few years later went to a disco Madness came on me on the dance floor dancing like Chas I won a Madness tape cassette and a trophy. For best dander I didn't even enter the dancing competition. Seeing Madness on TV i watched Chas dance and The rest is history. Upa Skinz

You're welcome mate... I wasn't going to upload it cos I'm sure it's on you tube somewhere but after I couldn't find it I thought "why not"... :-)
Any chance of you uploading a good Madness - Live at Rockstage, Nottingham 1980? There's is one here on YT but the sound is almost inaudible.

Very talented blokes..
anyone knows where i can find this live show? where it was ?
+Rah Beats All I can tell you is it was filmed for the movie from which this was taken in 1979 but as far as I'm aware the entire concert wasn't filmed and these are the only clips that exist of it unfortunately... :-/
I could be wrong of course but in all my years of searching I've never found any other clips from this gig other than what you see here... perhaps someone else knows different though... :-)
It's definitely from the 2Tone Tour of 1979. Im afraid I don't what town they played at though.
Whats the song at 3:40
