Pa5X OS Update V1.3.0 - New Features Overview

- The new Operating System 1.3.0 for our flagship Arranger Workstation Pa5X is out now. This update will not only bring some celebrated features showcased in previous KORG arrangers, the new Pa5X OS 1.3.0 will also provide some powerful, new technologies, seen for the first time in any arranger keyboard.

I really appreciate the effort of your engineering team who really try the best they can despite all the negative buzz around this keyboard. ❤ Its clear that not all features people want can be implemented in one update. I see many people ask for the features here, I think the most important thing is creating a channel of communication where users could submit the bugs, be kept updated about the upcoming releases of the operating system updates and so forth. I think it will really pay off at the long term. Thank you again for helping us doing a good music.

Can I just request a flashing LED light to the tempo please in the next update 😅
YES - a flashing tempo indication (before start) shown on the display screen and/or on the lock button LED would be GREAT.
EDIT: The Tempo Lock Button LED flash duration could change from short blinks to a longer one to indicate the downbeat.

Yes, I second that. It's a crucial feature that has been on almost all professional keys since 1990...
Quick Recording
Q: Will recording tools such as Quick Record be present in upcoming OS releases?
A: Yes. We are working on a new design of the Quick Record engine as part of a future OS release that will take full advantage of the powerful new Pa5X engine. We are targeting this to be available in the next OS update, date TBA.

In future updates, can you please add 2 things:
1) Have the LED on the Start/Stop button flash to the current tempo.
2) Add an option to turn a slider into a balance between the keys and the style/song. Namely, fader in middle would be equivalence, while moving it away from the center would adjust that balance.
These are both very important during performance in real-time and I find myself limited without them.

Midi to style still not in this update? Uh.
Thanks for the update but it’s totally unstable and useless with many times of freezing screen. Style recording mode is not functioning properly as the recorded tracks not playing sounds while recording a track. Also, Chord sequence edit mode doesn’t work! Korg should thoroughly testing the update before releasing it to the public.
My sincere thanks to team Korg, such great and awesome updates will bring PA5X the king of flagship arranger keyboards. Keep doing good.
The big disappointment is that Korg published a list of frequently asked questions and answers almost two years ago, indicating that they were working on a new design of the Sequencer with the QUICK RECORD that would be implemented in the next system update operating. Have done two OS updates and still NOTHING at this level.

KORG PA Manager v5.1 has now also been updated to support the latest OS 1.3.
Playing the style in the songbook sound cannot change like we play the normal style. Please update soon so that you can be loved even more
This time the update is very good. CV length fixed, Undu button addad perfect. Buffert updatet up to 420 mb perfekttt. Added 6 new User Sound slots and 6 more User DK. Updated the Sample DK over 50..000 Fantastiko lastiko kikiriko and much more

I have a wish, as a blind person, to use Korg devices with complete independence. Can you add a screen reader program to your devices to fulfill for me and all my blind peers their dream of using Korg devices independently and with full access to the device’s screen?

Arabic Scale fixed no more ossue with that, a litle mistake in there it says - 52 it shuld be-50, but no big issue with that

My Pa5X needs a pair of Variation switches (or just the support/alignment plastic frames?) because #3 and #4 recently snapped and went, "wobbly".
Thus far, the 76 keyboard contact strips are holding up to heavy usage! My Pa3X wore out its _second_ set of 76 and now it needs a third set to play like new again.
Pa3X needs a replacement memory battery, some Power Supply caps, and maybe a new HDD (its Pad4 switch has had a factory poor contact/wobble problem too).
I love both of these Korg Workstations to death! What's up with a new EC5 replacement?
The view button should be able to be used as a style shortcut

Adding new features and not fixing the bugs is not acceptable. Insert effects on Channel 11 not working when assign to outputs 1-4. Patch changes within variations does not work when a style added to song book even for factory styles. Random freezes and shutting downs still there. Very unstable keyboard for live performance. Totally unsatisfied after two years
I agree, but if all features were added earlier on, all bugs could have been fixed by now.
After update do not work after loading user resources more sounds and pa frosen this throuble are not be before
THE FX INSERTS DOESN'T WORK ON PERCUSION TRACKS,OR DOESN'T WORK IF YOU HAVE A PERCUSION TRACK ON ACC1 2 3 4 5 OR BASS TRACK...THE INSERTS WORK JUST TO TONES ON WHAT IS DRUMS NOT WORK

This is Pierre Henderson The kaoss is awesome, but we need to run 2 chord sequencers, one for each player or run the same chord sequence in both players at once for using the kaoss perfectly. If there is a way to do this, I haven't found it yet. This would allow use to take full advantage of the duel player feature
I am new to Korg ( got also a Genos2) , sounds great and realy different in compare , There is a lot of place to store data ( styles/samples etc ) but i cant find anything on the internet for the Pa5x ? For the Yamaha is so many to download for free , but i cant find anything ( usable) for the Pa 5x . I am still learning how to , its very complex comparing to the G2 🙂

Just record directly to the DAW with using interface
So now only Quick record and Song and we vill be happy with that and maybe our money back for the torture korg has made on uss for 3 years😂😂😂😂

Still less than Genos 2, Korg Pa5X only has 723 styles vs. Genos 2 at 800.

Os is bad, there are still a lot of bugs, I'm a 5x korg user, very disappointed, os v 1.3 moving the bar in the chaotic style 2/4 to 4/4 when the fill in is still messed up, a lot of hank so it makes a strange sound, I have a lot of videos whether to upload, it's been almost 3 years it's gone, when a company as big as korg can't solve this problem, this os vendor is not good, very bad, OS korg PA 600 ,700 ,1000 ,3x,4x is new good
Whoever updated the Styles must think that Japan doesn't exist anymore. Why are there no new Japanese styles?

Korg's biggest mistake was when they tried to turn Korg (pa5x) into Yamaha.
Fortunatelly, that didn't happen
@@pawlikp100 This story could have had a happy ending if they had stayed with the platform that Next OS had on the PA4X. That's where they went wrong.
