When individuals of various religious backgrounds, including Jewish, Christian, Muslim, Buddhist, and Hindu Even atheists come together to peacefully protest the tragic loss of over 33,000 lives, predominantly children and women, in Gaza, labeling them as anti-Semitic is not only misleading but also perilous. Upholding freedom of assembly and protest, as guaranteed by the Constitution, is essential to allowing people to express their views on this matter peacefully.

Did you realize that JVP is the primary group involved in protests on college campuses? It seems like you might not be well-informed on these matters, or perhaps you're intentionally trying to confuse the issue. Either way, I can't take your statement seriously.
@@jayscott921, Generally, students at universities likely don't need a permit for demonstrations involving things like holding signs, leafleting, or petitioning for signatures in outdoor areas. This falls under free speech protections.

There's a huge difference between peacefully demonstrating, and chanting anti-Semitic slogans. Period. And that has happened on multiple campuses. Anyone who can't figure that out doesn't deserve to be on the Internet. Saying that they oppose Israel's actions in Gaza is fine, but when people start chanting "From the river to the sea..." do they not realize that it's essentially a slogan for eradicating all Israelis and reclaiming the land as Palestinian-owned? Maybe they do, and if so, that makes those people reprehensible.
Not one student I've seen interviewed has ever expressed sorrow for the murdered Israelis, or expressed sorry for the kidnapped and tortured ones. I'm sure there are some students who've said so, but I haven't seen an interview with one yet. Maybe I will.
As for those kids protesting and saying to divest from investing in Israel, fair enough. How about the wealthy donors to those universities, many of whom aren't Jewish, suddenly decide to stop giving millions in donations to those universities. Some of those students can get along without scholarships, yes? It works both ways, kiddies. Think it over.

I challenge you to name 1 thing that happened in the video that was aggressive. There was no excessive force on any of the footage shown. Just because somebody in the crowd yells "stop being aggressive" doesn't make it true. The police are guilty of outrageous abuses of power... but that isn't happening here.

It's our democratic right to demonstrate. However there must be a limit to everything we do. Having the right to voice a matter does not mean disrupting the flow on normal life (i.e. causing classes to the stopped) causing harm or property damage, threatening or harming other members of the public, inciting a campaign of hate, etc.
We need to get back to basics and learn to embrace the intent of what these democratic privileges meant to serve. The ambit of these freedoms should not abuse to the extend of breaching community standard of normal peace and safety.
