Do those speakers make sound? It would be nice to hear them. Beautiful work.
You will! Sound test video coming soon. Thanks for watching!
they will only sound as good as the speakers you are using lol
I'd like to hear them too!
and if you listen to that sound test with quality speakers it means they would meet or surpass your current level of listening quality.
There was this incredibly satisfying feeling watching this video! Anyone else?
Ronin Enlightened all of them are that way! I love this channel!
NEW BUILD LETS GOOOOO!!
Beautiful! So happy to see you back!! :)
+Get Hands Dirty Thanks so much! Good to be back :)
It's so beutiful to see two youtubers keeping up with each other and enjoying the content of others. (I'm subbed to both of you btw)
What were the speakers model number? Also, these are Tang Band drivers, right?
I was thinking last week where is kirby glad your back and I hope everything is positive in your life
So glad to see you back dude!!!! WOO! NEW BUILD!

I love the way that these look, great job!
Thank you, Nick!
Yay! Kirby's back!
Awesome work Kirby!
Stoked to see you back in action. Also... these speakers... wow. Probably my favorite design of yours yet. Beautiful.
+Gabriel Jordan Thank you Gabriel!
Great job. You are lucky to have such nice tools available to you. I bought a set of these drivers and made some small vented cabinets to put them in, and am using them as computer speakers. They sound pretty darn good for their size.
Love this Jared! Super creative.
Thank you, Mark!
Very original design!! Congrats.
Finally! Literally 2 days ago I double checked your channel I case I missed any video... Good to see you back!
Good to be back! Thanks for watching
They are so dope and pleasing to the eye. đđđ
Thanks for watching!
Great Video, welcome back!
Your videos always remind me of my grandfather. He built my crib, my high chair and my cabinets for my mom when I was still small. He was such a great wood worker like you and he can make all sorts of things. Your channel makes me happy!
He sounds like an amazing man. Thank you so much for watching!
I like the touch you put on the speaker cabinet with the lathe. A lathe is for so much more than just cutting. :p
Agreed! I just picked this guy up, came in real handy. Thanks for watching!
Very beautiful speakers
Really nice as always Kirby!
Thank you, Erik!
w00t, Kirby and his burning hole saw are back!
I just can't get away from the sweet smell of burnt baltic birch! Thanks for watching, Dave!
Brother I wish I had 10% the talent you have. Good job!
Another well done build! Glad to see you back!
Chamfer on the circular !!! Fire!
Finely another video. Love them man
Thanks for watching!
Happy to see you back! Lovely build as usual.
yes!!!! these are so interesting to watch.
Thanks, Jeffery!
wow those are interesting, l can't imagine the the sound is anything to fuss over but that's a very cool design.
Great to see you back at it mate, beautiful looking set of enclosures.
You're back?! Great, let's make some projects!! :)
Love your work man!
Thank you!
Wow!! Gorgeous! Very clever design. Keep up the good work.
Great job, these look great! I wonder if it would have been easier to drill the small hole first and then cut the circle out with the bigger hole saw.
The drill bit in the center of the hole saw helps the saw stay in line, so being able to match that center hole up when cutting the smaller hole helps a lot. Thanks for watching!
MerwinMusic i always had better luck doing it the way it is in the video. much better to use that center hole.
I guess that makes sense. I figured you could clamp the hole piece to the drill press and then your center hole wouldn't move when you change bits. But like most things it sounds good in theory till you think about it and then realize you would have to change the bits out for every single circle. Haha
Welcome back!
Thank you! Good to be back!
De um profissionalismo incrivel, Grande trabalho. Parabéns.
Great stuff!! I loved the small chamfer you put on the bottom after measuring the angle of the enclosure. It was my, huh, of the day! Looking awesome!
Thanks, Ben!
you should make a full 5.1 surround sound speaker system that is all matching wood. I think it'd be pretty awesome to see
Nice build !!
Finally new videos DIY Speaker Build from this channel.... but the cable from speaker is already connected to port audio before you screw the speaker ?
Love you work.
Man, you are a genius
Beautiful, great design!
Another great video, thank you Kirby.
Thanks.
Thank you!
Inspiring as always man... You've made made me want to mess around with audio again!
Thank you so much...
Oh and don't stay away for so long.
Brian from Denmark
Really beautiful job, man.
These are beautiful speakers! I wish they were available in a kit.
I agree with some of the comments asking for some sort of end-of-vid sound checks, like just a minute or two would do. Regardless, I have enjoyed watching some of your builds, whether they worked or not is moot I suppose.
That's an awesome Design Kerby. Love it very much!
Very Very nice!!
Quite the interesting design. As per usual, I very much enjoyed your video. Greetings from TX.
Thanks so much for watching!
Love it. In this project you can also add hf driver
Man I like your style!! Great project!
finally you are back man đđ
Finally! Feels so good!
Love your videos. Happy because you're finally back. Could you do video where you show, how you put togeder all the electronics for speaker like elder one?
It's good to see you again homie :)
Thanks for watching!
So good to see you back ! Good build, very interesting project and the final is awesome !
Thank you!
Nice design!
I would love to have these ones... Made by you. They are gorgeous

Thank you!

Good work!
God dang, loving these speakers man, look so fresh! Good to have ya back :D keep up the creative work.
Well done Baby ^^
Very cool video and I love these speakers, man. Excellent as always!
Love the design!
Beautiful work! I want to ask, internal volume seems a bit small. Is it effects the sound?
Good to see you back in action. Question: The bluetooth amp you suggest is 200W. Wouldn't that likely fry these small speakers?
Nice made
Hey Kirby, have you ever thought about building PVC floor tube speakers maybe with a wood veneer over the tubing. Just an idea. I think it would look cool.
It would be so cool if you build a really good looking record player or table turner
this looks like a great project!!! i dont have a lathe so if i make it square, would it need to be longer or shorter?
Great now I'm gonna keep whistling this damn song for the next week!!! Great to see your back, nice work brah!
love it! any chance you're going to do an outdoor speaker build? just finished up a pergola and am dying to make some speakers myself, but I'm not sure how to make them outdoor safe!
iam loving it . ....really superb ur all videos...keep going ...
Thank you!
Kirby happy to see ur reply bro .. expecting more video from u..
So creative, Kirby! Love your content! Keep it up!
Thank you!
ohhh, it looks fantastic :X
Thanks for watching, Marian!
Another awesome project I'll never get do on my own..
Which product you used to colour/buff that wood up? It made them look beautiful.
Nice work, but that is a pretty small box. Are you modeling the box size for the drivers? I hope so. If not you are probably not getting the most out of them.
So glad to see you back! I was beginning to worry!! Gorgeous build, as usual!
Question 1
Did you just BUFF oiled walnut? Did you use something special on the surface to allow that to work??
Question 2
Is there a specific reason why you never counter sink your speakers?? I personally think it looks sooooo much better and there is a (slight) acoustic advantage! And it's a breeze to do with a Jasper rig on a router...
Anyway, stoked to see you back! Looking forward to see more from you in the near future! I'd love to know what you have been up to the past two months!
So good to be back!
1) I used danish oil, then steel wool when it was dried. I Then buffed it without anything extra, just a dry buff wheel. I used to do the same thing in the past with just a dry rag to buff, so I thought the wheel would make it easier. I'm sure this isn't the best way, and I'll be trying different buff compounds, but this seems to work fine for now.
2) I agree! In some of my production speakers I countersink the speakers, but haven't done that much on these build videos. On this video it was a time restraint issue. My original idea for these speakers was a simple layered cylinder with the speaker at the end. The walnut baffle came late in the build, so I was rushing a bit to get everything shot and didn't think of doing it until after the wood was cut. I'm rusty!
In the next few days I'll be putting out a video talking about what happened and the plans I have for the future!
Thanks for always watching, Jules!
Thanks for the tip! I'll definitely try buffing in my next project! I have some bamboo cone TB 4" laying around that I meant to do something with for like 5 years! Maybe some layered baltic birch... who knows!?!
Simple but great build
Are you going to make some open baffle speaker?
Or with some audio / sound exciter like the dayton audio DAEX25 ?
i was waiting for you!!
I'm back! Thanks for waiting :)
Love your craftsmanship and videos, completed the ceramic build recently and would like to start this one and add another cylinder of contrasting wood (mahogany), will build plans be available?
Great work, I love this design! Been googling local suppliers all weekend for parts :D
omg finely bro where u ben
Nice!
Hi Kirby, like one of the other commenters, I'd like to know what you think of the Dayton point source driver that you're using in several of your speakers? This keeps complexity down since there's no crossover required, but does it sound good through the entire range, or is there some parts besides bass that it struggles with? Clearly we need to keep expectations in check when asking one driver to cover the whole gamut. Thanks in advance!
good..more vids love them..also Kirby can you do a video of impedance issues when doing 2 way and 3 way system with crossover and impedance? âđ
Edrick Mendez whats the problem?
Cool đ!
, very nice but I would have used a larger hole saw for more room around the speaker for much better sound and bass.
These are really beautiful!
But an honest question: IsnÂŽt the volume of those enclosures a bit insufficient?
They souldnÂŽt be able to play anything below something around 110Hz, or are they?
Good question, I also think the cylindrical shape has a nasty resonance.
plans where great but I can say I missed your videos
I missed them too! Thanks for watching
NO way, I had this design vision for my product design project đ
Nice! This wasn't my original plan. At first it was just going to be layered plywood cylinders with the speaker at the end, but then I had the idea for the walnut baffle. I think it adds to the design for sure. Thanks for watching!
Can you continue with the "theorethicals" videos? Can you explain how to build a bass reflex and how to tune a speaker box?
what brand of speakers do you used good job
