This heartwarming rescue mission involved the coordinated efforts of villagers, wildlife officers, veterinary surgeons, and civil defense force officers to aid a severely injured elephant. The story begins with a villager who frequently visits the forest for firewood and notices an elephant limping with a badly swollen hind leg. The villager reported this to the nearest wildlife office, prompting a swift response. A team was quickly dispatched, and upon locating the elephant, they sedated it to examine and treat the injury safely. The veterinary surgeon assessed the situation and determined that the elephant had a gunshot wound that had become infected, leading to a swollen abscess filled with pus-the treatment involved cleaning the abscess, draining the pus, and removing necrotic tissue to facilitate healing. The wound was thoroughly disinfected and treated with povidone-iodine and negotiant, which were applied to both the wound cavity and its surface. The final step involved coating the injured area with a bluish antiseptic fly-repellent spray. To minimize the risks of prolonged sedation, the vets revived the elephant promptly after treatment. The elephant will require several rounds of antibiotic treatment for complete recovery, with forest rangers monitoring its progress. The team's dedication and quick action were crucial in saving the elephant's life, showcasing the vital role of wildlife officers and veterinary professionals in preserving wildlife.

Thank you to the vet and the wildlife officers for helping and treating the magnificent beautiful elephant 🐘. Love you guys for that and thank to the man in the village who spot the young elephant and told the wildlife. I hope the police catch the person who did this.

Not only your county most of counties have lots of problems in Sri Lanka where this video was taken have emence economy problems but still you have do what we have do it doesn't matter animal or a human being have to be kind to the whole world
