- More dockside more good right! With clones you get more docksides.

should also look into impostor mech
Came to say this haha
I forgot that one. So many cards ...
One interesting thing to add to this is that the floor for clones go up together with the popularity of kinnan. Kinnan is basically a dockside if you have a board and since kinnan is popular enough to almost be guaranteed one per pod you clones will often have the floor of being a kinnan.
Also I wished we would have gotten some stats on just one clone and the best clone/combination of clones
Great vid though Mons I like this series :)
Agree with Pontus. Also think people include clones more now becuase:
1. Except for Dockside and sometimes Thassa's Oracle, another ETB creature named Orcish bowmaster is very popular in todays metadecks. Not only do you get your own Orcish Bowmaster but you also get to remove the opponents Orcish Bowmaster with the ETB effect. That's why imposter mech is so cute to become a copy as a bowmaster, because you can shoot other bowmasters but they cannot shoot yours ;)
2. More one sided stax creatures get released (lately Dauntless Dismantler).
3. As Pontus mentioned there is more value commanders which have become popular like Kinnan. Also Tivit (damn never forget when you Måns made your clone as a copy of my Tivit and had a Emiel to bounce it over and over again) and Atraxa is quite popular.
Clones become kinda flexible in what you can do during the games, which I really like. An example of this is phyrexian Metamorph which can come in as a good creature, ramp if needed or these days also as The One Ring :)
At the moment I'm working on making a Tivis list as a clone deck, which can have multiple Tivits in play or just copy some good stuff on the battlefield. Hope to try it more in the future :)
Best video in this series yet! Really enjoy these videos!
Thank you! I do plan to do more of the other sub typs.
Love your videos Mons! Keep up the great work!
thank you!
Amazing video. I love Grixis and currently building my first cEDH deck. I’m building Yuriko but have my eyes on RogSi and Inalla as potential decks after that.
Mons appreciate your content as always my dude! Thank you for putting this series together. I think clones are great in the current meta and will only power creep further with more powerful cmc etb effects printed in the future.
Is there a way to see how win rates of decks are affected *after* a card has come out moving forward? For example, win rate of tymna/kraum before delney vs decks using her after maybe like over a few months to a year?
I alredy have that being calculated but started doing that this year so stats over time is only 1 month old. So we will se at the end of the year.
How did I miss this one!!
Funny enough - the guy you have highlighted in your first comment actually won germany's Balloncon to qualify for the invitation tournament in Lozbon :D
Great video as always.
Thoughts on "Dance of Many" as a clone? Its only two mana.
Double blue casting cost is too much for certain decks. Same reason why Counterspell is not used and Mana Drain is less included on decks nowadays.
Hi, you did a great job.
But I'm wondering on which data source are you referring to?

I love your videos! But I do want to ask about the music in the background? It sounds kind of like some sort of horror ambience. Are you a fan of that genre?
YEEEES!!!!! I love cthulhu and Guts from Berserk and all that stuff. DUNGEN dark music!!!!
Today I was up against Atraxa, their Atraxa got them 3 cards. I metamorph’d it and mine got me 10 cards. Clones are good
How?
How?
🖤🖤🖤
Really good lol
Especially in the Japanese meta where everyone is on Tivit lol
OH YEAH! Haha that is a good clone target! Should have meantioned that!
I think clones are underrated in even just EDH. Wish more people played them! Copying a dockside seems busted though lol.
Like imagine your CEDH commander is the flip Heliod and you have it to where you can flash something out and you flash out a clone to copy a dockside while it’s ability is on the stack and winning at instant speed. That would be dope
haha yeah that happens.
Recently, you did an episode on mulligans. Would it be possible to do an episode on how to get better at playing a deck (other than just playing it more). I've found that goldfishing just helps to learn the lines because it lacks in the interaction aspect. Maybe there's a better way to goldfish that I'm unaware of, but I find the good hands in a goldfish game tend to be bad in real games so even trying to learn how to mulligan better through that method is subpare.
This is a really good question. Tricky to answer. I will add this to my suggestions and think about it. Don't promise anything but I kinda want to talk about stuff like this.
I find theft better than cloning in cEDH most of the time. I guess aside from cards like Dockside that need to ETB. But stealing commanders via theft tends to feel more effective if you’re looking for blue or red slot variance in your 99.
I do run Flesh Duplicant in one build though for similar reasons as to what you pointed out.
Nice video Mons. Good topic.
What theft cards do you typically run outside of gilded drake?
I have played 2 mana steal enchantment now and then to take rhystic studys.
I'm just waiting for a 3 mana clone creature that can come in as a copy of any creature or enchantment on the battlefield :D
phyrexian metamorph is close. Artifacts instead.
@@cedhtv exactly why I want one for enchantment instead 😉 copy those rhystics or, in combination with borne upon a wind, copy underworld breach in respons to opponent casting LED and win before they do 😍
Can I get an analysis about cursed mirror and twinflame in mono red and naya?
Currently no. I don't have a good method of separating colors like that yet. But I can look into it.
Turns out when everyone is playing the best cards in the game that copying those cards is really good! BRB going to slot another clone into Dargo/Thrasios
Just used your statistics to build and test Blue farm and Kinnan
Nice. I hope it works out.
I wonder what the ideal number of removal/counter spells is. Do you have any information on that?
He does have a video on counterspells already:
