  • In the context of the Ife-Sungbo Archaeological Project, co-directed by Prof (Associate) Gérard Chouin (William & Mary University) and Prof Adisa Ogunfolakan (Obafemi Awolowo University), Youssef Bouri, Research Project Manager at the French Research Institute in Nigeria (IFRA-Nigeria), has produced a series of short videos presenting aspects of the project and the techniques used during excavations in the ancient town of Ife. The Ife-Sungbo archeological project is a long-term excavation supported by IFRA and the French Embassy for more than 10 years. Between 2022 and 2024, this project was part of a FSPI (Fonds de solidarité pour les projets innovants) funded by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and managed by IFRA-Nigeria (learn more about the different projects IFRA-Nigeria realized here). The filming took place in July 2023. Below is a list of the episodes of this series of videos.
