Can we talk about this scene, though? Like. We see in the opening montage that their friendship is fairly solid in its pranks and we can assume the same for some under-the-belt jabs as well. With that in mind, it's worth noting that McQueen was the rookie in the year The King retired. A bit of a low blow if it were nearly anyone else, but that's just the kind of friendship they have, and it also sets the tone for the film perfectly - it's the end of McQueen's journey that we've been with him on since the first film. He'll pass on the torch just like Strip Weathers before him. It's actually my favourite scene in the Cars franchise.
Considering how at the end Lightning said that he plans to keep racing, and that supposedly Cars 4 is in the works, I hope that movie is about Lightning finally deciding that it’s time, and that he plans to give it his all for his last season while also looking for someone to inherit the Red Rusteze color (Cruz went Dinoco, and despite them buying Rust-eze, I’m pretty sure they’ll still have some autonomy).

As someone who was a huge Cars fan as a kid (it's the movie I've seen the most, over 100 times, played the games and had a lot of merch, probably my favorite movie of all time), Cars 3 felt like a good closing page to my childhood, it also felt like a real sequel to the first movie❤
I remember about hearing how insane the fnaf lore is by many people but I never knew about it so I watched an entire fnaf lore video only by matpat and he damn well told it perfectly.hope he lives a great life
