My dad suffered a stroke after Impella pump was removed. But I want to think it gave him an additional 9 months with us ♥️

CO = Hrt Rate x Stroke Volume; SV/EDV = Ejection Fraction. EF improved significantly.

Is there a way to setup the monitor like that?

Can you elaborate a little more on how unloading the LV raises the diastolic pressure?

From the way I understand it, the impella Device actively decreases the volume inside the left ventricle, decreases wall stretch and the amount of blood the lv has to pump out thereby decreasing the workload of the left ventricle. I don't think it" unloads the lv "in the Sense that a balloon pump does. I do believe that iabp and impella can be utilized at the same time.

Could the device be inserted during active CPR, to increase c.o. during compressions and improve coronary perfusion?
