  • 6th étape of the Camino Francés from Estella to Los Arcos (taking the way over Villamayor de Monjardín).
…Starting the day with a small goblet of free vino tinto, a tradition on this étape for those who like:-)
All étapes/videos to Santiago de Compostela are going to be uploaded over the next days and weeks.
After many journeys on the Camino de Santiago in the past ten years, this time the focus lies on the video project. Thus not a lot of stopping during the étapes (some breaks and encounters are cut out).
COVID-19: Filmed in the summer of 2020 when Spain and the camino including most albergues were open again for a few weeks after the first lockdown. Masks in all albergues, bars/restaurants and when crossing cities. There will likely never again be as few people on the camino as in summer of 2020.
Hope you enjoy the video. Thank you so much for watching and maybe see you on the camino one day :-)
    BUEN CAMINO to you!

Don't miss the forge "Ayegui" at 0:55. Visiting this master blacksmith is a must in the Camino, just before Iratxe cellar. His artistic work using iron is a tradition for pilgrims.

@@CaminoTimeLapse and still managed to keep the camera steady afterwards! By the way is the camera strapped to the strap of your rucksack?

@@JonathanMarcusGSmith It was strapped to the Rucksack in 2019 when I filmed the camino francés as well, but in 2020 I preferred having it attached to a chest-strap. This way I could see the back of the camera and control the position/perspective better.

What's being cultivated on the right, around 3:50 - 4:00? Those green saplings growing in rows?

Very nice. I am learning much of the route and will be helpful when I do my Camino. Question? I saw that you took a different route from the pilgrims ahead of you, is that the case?

Hi and thank you for the comment! That`s the case, it`s not very visible in the video but it really is just across the field and after two turns to the right it`s the same again. The reason I felt like going left is because in earlier years the way and every pilgrim went left there (a few meters longer but I quite like the stretch. I realize it`s also the thumbnail of the video). Can`t remember where the arrows show to, but it`s really only left or right from a field. Buen Camino😄

Minute 3:50 is Villamayor de Monjardin? Right?
