This is the weirdest battle of the war, as it depicts American soldiers fighting alongside Wehrmacht dissenters who allied with Austrian resistance forces against SS troops still loyal to Hitler. Germany at that point already lost the war and most of the Wehrmacht have either deserted or went into hiding, and Hitler was having none of it.
