The jaw wiggle exercise to help train the suprahyoid muscles. We start with just a small separation, progressing to 2/3 mouth opening with the lips closed.
Hello, is it for tight muscles (to make them slightly loose) or for weak muscles (to make them slightly tight) ? Thank you so much for making this video. I would like to be sure of the goal of exercise just to confirm this is right one for me? It sounds like it is.
Are these muscles related in anyway to the ‘double chin’ neck appearance that some people have? Where it appears the hyoid is too low and too far forward?
i have this thing that u described. i thought it was due to fat but then i realized that fat wasnt really the culprit here. im still trying to figure out what it is called and is there any way to get rid of it with exercises.
Let me know if any of you guys figured it out. I'm skinny but mine hangs low giving me a turkey neck. There are some jaw exercises I saw on an article.
It shouldn't matter, if you do like this and use both sides the weaker side will eventually get get stronger and catch up. If your problem is mainly on one side you can check your upper traps on that side, if they are tight they usually make your masseter muscle in the jaw tight which in turn will mess with this muscle. I am not a doctor or anything but that is my experience anyway, if I am tight in my right suprahyoid I have pretty much always a tight masseter and upper right traps too. Making sure these muscles relax and function normally usually gets my right suprahyoid to calm down. In my case it's my right serratus anterior that is weak which in turn makes the upper traps overcompensate and getting tight which gets the masseter muscle tight which gets the Suprahyoid tight.

Is there a way to relax and release this muscle if it's hyperactive?
Had a first treatment and really helped. Where can I purchase dns baby posters? Thanks
Can those musclesuprah hyuod and petrygoid make problems in sub ocipital ?

Well he says “to strengthen” in the beginning so I’m assuming for weak
i dont understand what you're meaning about "tiny bites"

It's called low hyoid bone position and causes the double chin look. I am also trying to remove this.
Is this helpful for suprahyoid muscles that are tight, as well as those that are weak?
For both, both signify weakness/trauma of the same degree
Im actually the other way. Getting some serious muscle tension on suprahyoid that i cant seem to control…
if there is one sided weakened muscle? is it possible to slightly exercise on one side? press the finger on the weakened side?

seems rather pointless to demonstrate this with a jungle of hair covering the entire demonstration area
That’s what I was thinking too
😂😂😂
God this tongue trend is so wrong... this will only add tension.
this is meant for weak suprahyoid, people with lower hyoid
