Nah SPD is basically an existing mental stack that the opponent still have to constantly worry about Shuto got hit of certain situations as of the wrong guess for SPD calls as it will always be a layer in the mix
He tried at 2:55 and missed the input at 4:50. So it wasn't a challenge, just really committed to punching and finger poking her stomach.

Great comeback from being down 3 to 1.
I'm wanting to use a grappler who is simple to use but a challenge to win with... no crazy combos, just an old-school "get to the opponent and wreck them" style. In SF4, I used Zangief. In SF5, I used Birdie.
Would Marisa be a good fit for this? What other grapplers are there besides Zangief?
Manon is probably the other primary grappler besides Gief. Her SPD gets stronger every time she lands it, up to 5 times. It’s a real scrub killer mechanic but good players will give you a hard time trying to get the buffs. She’s very weak at the beginning of the match and potentially very scary by the end. I think she’s a very fun character but she’s definitely one of the harder ones.

Great set. I know Kobayan is on top right now for Gief but Junior and Snake Eyez are so much more fun to watch. Drastically less cautious and defensive, a lot more goofy Zangief classics.

Is it me or Marisa is like doing Muay Thai ? Otherway it is agreable not to have too boring characters throwing projectiles for hours
13:25 was that drop on purpose, shuto took the drive gauge from the punish counter and then did a blockstring to put junior into burnout without any more meter investment
