@@Ldenlord Actually, I no longer use the wiggle method. I was using it because I had teeth sensitivity. As it turns out, my wisdom teeth came in extremely aggressively, and I had them removed. Keep helping people, I'm grateful for this video, all my life I have been doing it wrong.
Same, never had a single dentist tell me how to brush my teeth in depth. Some have given me "tips", but not a full on detailed description. Although, according to this video i've been brushing incorrectly my whole life. Then again, the entire medical industry revolves around seeing patients as often as possible so they can make their billions of dollars off treatments and medications. So us brushing incorrectly means more work needed to keep our teeth healthy aka more money in their pockets. If everyone flossed at least 3 x a week and brushed their teeth properly twice a day. The most majority of us would see is the hygienist.
Yeah I agree. Seems pretty obvious why they wouldn’t teach you this tho. Bad brushing encourage tooth decay, gum recession and abrasion and that will be beneficial for them.
Agreed. Funny, I was just thinking the other day about when I was growing up and how many useless things I was taught in school, compared to how few of the most important things to know in life, including proper dental care such as this.

Don't miss the back. 5:11 - Go around your mouth 3 times (to cover 3 different surfaces - outside, inside, & top). Great video! And thanks for not only providing tips but also providing your rationale for those tips. 👍

Great educational video on how to brush your teeth correctly. The video should be shared with teenagers and school-age children. Never heard about the "wiggle," but it does make great sense. Thank you for taking the time to educate us all.
If u press brush to make its filaments fill vestibular/oral part of interdental gap it will probably take enough pressure to damage interdental papilla depending on strenght of the filaments (to avoid it - use medium soft or soft toothbrushes). In dental hygiene we always ask patients not to press too much - the main idea of brushing is to destroy plaque microstructure, not to "clean bacteria" so it is better to use less pressure but more frequent and tender wavings of toothbrush filaments. And if dental morphology makes no help - just use interdental toothbrushes or buy toothbrush with lesser head and clean teeth according to their structure. Or use sonic/rotating brushes with minimal pressure.

Doctor Ode is the best doctor when it comes to curing bad breath. I am letting y’all know about him and his remedy today. He saved me from bad breath with his herbal remedy. Get his herbs from him through his channel Doctor Ode
You've been more helpful than my hygienist, that's for sure. Thanks to her instructions my receding gums have got even worse now :/
Thanks kami
First person I've seen who demonstrates brushing in a way that is correct and makes sense to the viewer. Well done!
I have to come back to say Thank You for this video!!! After I first seen this back in March, I've been brushing this way since, and I notice a difference. I cringe when I think about the things I wasn't doing for most of my life, but I can only do better from here on out.
So glad this video was recommended to me. Been thinking of investing in my teeth after so many problems & this video gave me the knowledge WHY I'm brushing instead of "it's just something that has to be done". It's less of a chore knowing the reasons for preventing tooth decay. Thank u, Dr. Supa!!
I literally get my braces off in like 2 weeks and I’ve brushed my teeth like this because my orthodontist taught me how to brush like this. I hope my results are fantastic :)
When I was younger my dentists always told me to brush circles and back and forth on the backs of my teeth’s good thing I’m only 12 so I can brush my teeth the correct way the rest of my life and no wonder my gun recedes
idc go play fortnite 12 year old.
Sad Vibes who hurt you? Textbook example of psychological projection. You are safe here, tell me who hurt you 🥺
wth happened here
aToxicRick at least I’m not stupid like u man I’m just a random dude commenting and u tell me to play fortnite and if u don’t know fortnite is dead and I never payed fortnite like a bitch before. Season 2 is crap.
aToxicRick and yes I am 12 but I have a brain cells which is something u will never get
OMG!!! 😱😱😱 And I found out I've been brushing my teeth wrong the whole time as well as my son's. Thank you Doc!
Whos here from CatBoyKami
Wow, very clear demonstration....I am forwarding this to the rest of my family, especially my teens. Thank you, Dr. Supa 😍
Thanks for this. The instructions for brushing make perfect sense now with your explanations. I need explanations in order for me to understand and accept things. Also, this is more comprehensive than something else I’ve seen. Thanks so much.
I'm so ready for clean teeth and fresh breath now that I know how to brush! Thanks Dr. Supa
How is your teeth and gum now ... Does this works for you?
I've been brushing my teeth wrong
all my life. At 18 now I realise how it is actually done. Dr thank you so much.
Thanks Doc many times we learn things too late. But well better late than never like it is said Again great video thanks
This is the ONLY video I have seen that truly explains the logic behind Bass brushing technique. Thanks a lot!
Thank you for the video, helped me realize that I was brushing my teeth incorrectly for decades. Furthermore, this approach makes significantly more sense than other similar instructional videos.
Thanks for the good education, i look forward to using a less random scrubing motion, and more of this 3 lap/3 side tactic
Who is here because of cami?
Best video on how to brush! Thank you! Many years later! ❤
This is a very thorough tutorial. The others I watched left more questions than answers. Thank you!!!
Thank you so much! I've been having bad cavities to my molars now and I figured that I just learn the proper way to dental care and start flossing
Thank you for elucidating in such a clear way doc
wow thanks for that! I believe most people don't know how to brush their teeth and your video shows all three mistakes that I make and a clear and understandable way of how to do it right!
I like how he doesn’t just tell it’s wrong. He shows you why it’s wrong and corrects it.
thx Kami
Awesome information! I had been doing a version of this technique but you have given a detailed way to brush my teeth better.
One of the best videos I have ever come across. Not only did I learn a lot of hidden things but also some technical stuff. Keep it up!
This is the best demonstration on mistakes and proper teeth brushing. Thanks for the video!
Great educational video on how to brush your teeth correctly. The video should be shared with teenagers and school-age children. Never heard about the "wiggle," but it does make great sense. Thank you for taking the time to educate us all.
Why TF did Kami link this video ?
Thanks, doc. This was so helpful I think I'll pass on these tips to my children when I have them
This video was uploaded when I was 20, today I came across it 8 years later just to learn to brush well for the first time. Thanks for this video ❤
I’ve never really known the importance of flossing, washing dishes with cold and warm water, as well as the correct method of brushing. This is making me think how much I’m doing wrong after all this time.
Thank you for this amazing and accurate presentation. 41 and learning to brush my teeth correctly and I've seen dentists in America, Canada, Australia and NZ. They all told me about gum recession and demonstrate versions of brushing. I have some mildly concerning gum recession that I need to get on top of! To think I knew it when I was a kid with braces!
omg, so THIS is how you're supposed to brush your teeth lol Thanks so much!
i’ve been brushing my gums, but not in an angle. ty for the tips babe🤠💕
This is very detailed compared to other videos ive watched, thanks so much!
Thank you! So glad I found your channel. Explicit and informative.
Very good explanation!! Thank you Dr!!!
Wow no one explained it like that before. Thanks a ton ❤️ What are other doctors doing and what stuff do we teach in school 😦

I always thought I’ve been brushing incorrectly but little did I know that I was very close to brushing correctly... how have I not known 😅
Thank you so much. Good wishes from Bangladesh 💓
Thanks alot Dr Supa!!! You are a hero /Anders from Sweden
2nd time watching it in a space of a year.Wished i had listened the very first. You sir are a legend
Wow, thanks! Never knew how to brush correctly until now. Just had a deep cleaning, im at the point now that I'll whatever I need to do to keep my teeth healthy.
Update: This works! See my 1 and 2 yr updates in the reply comments.
Same! I just had a deep cleaning today and holy cow. I started looking up how to properly floss and brush my teeth to never go through that hell again. How has this brushing method worked for you?
@@animeaddict1101 Wonderfully! I went back for my follow up and the dentist was so shocked at how well my teeth/gums recovered. I've been flossing at least once a day (before bed) and brush twice a day (morning/nite) using method. No bleeding whatsoever. Amazing. I know I sound like an advertisement or something, but it works lol. Takes consistency and it eventually becomes a habit.
@@animeaddict1101 wish you the best on your teeth recovery.
Oh my day I just went through the same hell and back, such pain is not humane. Now I'll do whatever it takes to not have to go through that again.
@@loveislove2359 Yeah, it's not fun having your gums scraped at. I have been brushing (and flossing) properly ever since that last post. No joke, my dentist and hygienist tell me to keep doing whatever I've been doing lol. It's funny that they never mentioned this, they just say to "brush". You can do it, do it every day and it'll become a habit. Easily save on dental bills and pain. Wish you the best on your healthy mouth journey! 😁🦷
Great explanation, thank you
This is very good, really needs to be taught often. Just telling someone to brush better does not help the patient. Physical demonstrations helps. Thank you.
Thnx doc. Best vid I’ve seen on this topic. Gonna give it a try.
when are you doing more videos? update please (Kami)
Thanks catboy
I was brushing my teeth wrong for thirty years. This video is life changing
