- Using almost the entire Runway in Buenos Aires. Enjoy! :)
This Video is part of the PilotsTube Flashbacks, which are short videos from the earlier PilotsTube showing landings, take-offs or just beautiful inflight scenes.
I used to fly in and out of mines in Western Australia. Often the planes were focker 60s or 100s.. they would crank the engines right up with the brakes on then release them when they reached the right thrust I guess. It was like a slingshot.. good fun
That technique saves a few meters of the take-off run, not sure if they still do it, but it was often used on short runways. thanks for watching!
When I flew the MD-11 out of Angola, it would always use every inch of the runway. I thought we were going to rip the fence at the end of the runway.
I feel sorry for the people living at the end of the runway.
The flight was a charter that flew twice a week, Houston - Luanda, Luanda - Houston carrying oil workers. 12 to 14 hour flight that I made once a month for 5 years. At least the plane was full of business class seats so we could stretch out and sleep.
World Airways I believe was the owner.
That sure is a long flight time! Sounds like an interesting but very stressful job but also quite an experience :-)
pls share excerpts from the actual fly, high up in the sky
there are some MD11 Videos on my channel that include high altitude footage :) Thanks for watching!
We pay hole runway we use hole runway
What was this planes itinerary?
I dont remember actually, it was quite some time ago :)
