Snes version: relied on well timed dark moments and visuals to scare the player
Pc: used screamers at inaproppiate times and used images created after the snes era that wouldn't be possible for the snes
And a kinda fun boss battle you have in the snes version

Honestly the snes one would be perfect, except for the fact that Mario shows no regret to tossing his bro into the lava unlike the pc version

While I prefer SNES overall, I do like how the PC version has Mario mourn his death instead of Mario not giving a crap about Luigi dying.
I'm usually not one for horror games but those jumpscares actually made me laugh

This was originally just a jokepasta (a form of a creepypasta just told as a joke and isn't supposed to be taken seriously at all) which is why the creepypasta's jumpscares are silly

@@Len_ancha That is valid for the original version which was more of a story telling more about someone's experience playing this game rather than it starting as a game.
In the original story, the narrator says that they did not touch the mushroom which explains why both versions features the mushroom having different effects.

If there's a version that makes a balance of both PC and SNES versions... it'll obviously be like the SNES romhack, but the jumpscares have to be a lot more believable (or maybe, "cheap scares" element needs to be toned down), but it's currently not known when that'll be a thing!
