Boals is a powerhouse of a singer. Soto is not bad at all, just a bit generic. Boals has more character in his voice. He's my favorite of Yngwie's singers.
@@These_go_to_eleven_1959 I have to agree. While they both are superb vocalists, I saw both in the same calendar year(1985), JSS was alot more powerful live.
Wow, Yngwie here is restrained and giving lots of space to the singers...I'd love to see more of him like this, playing as a member of a band, creating something bigger than his solos alone.
Clearly, you don't haven't listened to many singers. He is great, but he is not the best. Have you listened to Rob Halford, R James Dio, Geoff Tate, Dave Coverdale, etc?
Yngwie's a beast when playing covers. His solo on Wayward Son has a bluesy feel to it. Kind of nice hearing a difference from the usual shred he's known for, though he mixes it in for some flavor. 🎸⚡️💥👍
I went to See Yngwie on this Tour (Inspiration) at the House of Blues Hollywood. I remember Jeff Scott Soto came out & sang I'll See the Light Tonight. What Memories!
Thank you everyone who made this video available, until i finding it out in last days of December 2022. Now i realize that the cassette i bought in '96 is real, not just a dream. I thought it was almost impossible to see the live version from this magnificent tribute album. With all due respect to the original writers/artists, these guys right here Mark Boals, Jeff Scott Soto, Joe Lynn Turner, and of course Eh-ehm... YJM 😅, Marcel Jacobs (R.I.P), and many more :') really makes every songs taking to another level!! 🥳🎉🎊 is there anymore videos of this tours available on the market? Please let me know, thx🙏
This is Jeff dressed in a funk/soul style used at the time for the Boogie Knights project he did. Cool to see Marcel Jacob up there playing with them too, or "Marre" as Yngwie says at the end.
Mark Boals is the only singer in the world that can stay full power so high like this and not even once being flat or sounding tired the entire show,he is from another planet..unbelievable ! Number one Metal singer of all time !
@@jfo3000 my favorite… Harnell could rattle the walls. I definitely expanded my range trying to sound like that dude when I was young… probably blew my voice too. lol but it’s all good.
So, to recap: Jeff Scott Soto records Marching Out, leaves during the tour in November of 85, and is replaced by Mark Boals to finish the tour - and film the video for 'I'll See the Light Tonight', in which he lip syncs to Jeff Scott Sotos vocals. Boals then records Trilogy in 86, but is fired and replaced by Jeff Scott Soto to tour the album. Then a few years later, Jeff Scott Soto records 'Carry on my Wayward Son' with Yngwie, but Mark Boals films the video, again lip syncing to Jeff Scott Sotos vocals.
Уникальное сочетание двух мастеров комического масштаба, лучший рок вокалист всех времён и народов и лучший гитарист в истории рок музыки плюс отличный подбор команды.... На выходе имеем волшебство
Awesome ! And on such a small stage yet Yngwie finds room to swing his guitar without clobbering anyone/anything. Too bad it cuts off because I swear I heard the opening notes of Krakatoa !
Mark was a Good replacement, but Jeff is Yngwies singer, everything from the proportions on stage to band chemistry. And what a Voice, I can't believe I can say the best version of Carry on My Wayward son was done by Yngwie. I can't believe I saw Yngwie do a Cover song.
What happened to Yngwie post 2000 is still baffles me...Its not the sloppiness and the poor records (especially post Spellbound, he is going downhills), but the phrasing, the feeling, the perfect pitch....He is back to a level the last few years live, but he went from a God Level...well, to my level.....
Getting old sucks. He is pushing 60. I think he probably feels he is past his prime. He has mentioned that he doesn't play the guitar obsessively like he used to. He is already a legend and knows he will be known for his first couple records including Concerto. Plus I mean he has 21 albums out. It is hard to stay fresh with that much content. That is 100's of songs lol
I'm dicing with life here. I had two yoghurts and a white toast. Life is like a box of chocolates (if you're diabetic) and have allergies - Hasten to add - it's all okay - I still have half a bottle of white wine left🥂!
Marc wasn't the singer. lol. I saw Yngwie with Jeff and lars and Jans at the bus stop in Dayton, Ohio. I just saw Yngwie 6 months earlier with Alcatrazz. At the bus stop, Talas was the warm up band. Top that one baby....
I tried to upload but was blocked for copyright infringement. In the future, I may divide and upload only possible parts, so please wait without expecting.
both great singers but it looks like they don't fell free to move on stage!! MALMSTEEN gorgets that the songs are more important than his playing, that is why he could npt write song at that level anymore.
I love Yngwie, but I just wish he would play the guitar instead of doing tricks like flipping the guitar around his neck and for crying out loud play what was recommended. I want to hear the musicianship. If I wanted to see Siegfried and Roy I would have gone to go see them when they were in Vegas. Oh and do us all a favor and stop trying to sing. Stick to playing the guitar.
Yngwie in ‘96. Keeping the rock flame alive in the midst of a grunge wasteland.
Marc Boals is a phenomenal singer !!!
I prefer SOTO's more DIO like vocals.

Yup, makes his playing standout even more.
Yngwie&Jeff&Mark、Theyare、tripuruAAA🎸
Yngwie is to singers is what Ozzy is to guitarists.
He should do a tour with 4 of his past singers like Schenker did 🤘💌📫🪔
Jeff Scott Soto is awesome nobody can sing metal like he can.
is that you YJM ?

How I wish I was there. Watching Jeff Scott Soto and Mark Boals with Yngwie, it’s a dream

The era SOTO was the vocalist for Yngwie were his very best line up and songs!
Rising force and Marching out are THEE Yngwie records for me! 🤘
Awesome !
And on such a small stage yet Yngwie finds room to swing his guitar without clobbering anyone
This video keeps poppin up and gets taken down over and over again, killer performance by everyone involved!
Jesus, never heard Jeff do those screams before. Awesome.
I remember hearing many years ago that Yngwie was a fan of Kansas, it's cool to hearing him with a great singer for once.
Boals was the best. Such great power, tuning and diction!
Both performances are phenomenal. Also 2 awesome tunes
Wow the sound was pretty good for a small stage and the band sounds great and tight

The og singers really give the the band it's best chemistry like those old days, and the band sounds better as a result

Part of the problem with Yngwie is the compositions rarely are structured to be capable of being sung against comfortably. Cf Rainbow for instance

Ok so Who were the bass player and drummer??
Who´s the drummer, the mighty Master Aldridge? Sounds so, great and tight as usual.
his name is Anders johansson
@@MegaCipmunk nope it's not his drumming. Aldridge has more groove and timing like this guy.

Unmistakable. Unsurpassable. Yngwie's guitar keeps singers in their places lest they act like prima donas.
