    I'm an early reservationist but still waiting. I'm glad to know it looks just as weird in person as it did at be unveiling and and photos. I love the design. I'm also glad to know that the interior is nice. I wasn't sure what to expect since it's a truck.

      I love how it looks too. It's about how functional it is, being practical to the max, not caring about dents, or paint being scuffed up, plus the space and the safety, and the ease to steer, it's quite obviously the most significant vehicle of the century, so far. It's going to age really well. The stainless steel is absolutely gorgeous, and I don't get all the complaining about fingerprints - my truck is black and when it's clean and polished you can see fingerprints on it a mile away.

    FYI, Elon isn't the designed. That was Franz and his team. Genius work! EDIT: judging by many of the comments, this was interpreted incorrectly. Both Elon and Franz are ultimately responsible for the genius that is the Cybertruck. I was only correcting a statement made in the video (should have timestamped it, but I'm not watching it again) where he said Elon designed it. Elon didn't design it. It came from Franz and team though Elon of course had his hands all over it.

    I really have great respect for people who have an intuition that something will eventually be loved in the future when everybody around thinks it is weird. And also invest your life and lot of money on it. Only a very special human can do it. Though history is full of such great people. But cybertruck is at another level of weirdness to believe that one day it will be loved by many just because of the way it looks. It's beyond natural for someone to believe in a piece of geometrical block to pass of as an automobile in 21st century.

    • @HenryLoenwind
      @HenryLoenwind Před 5 měsíci

      The rearview mirror is just clipped in and can be removed. The prototypes all had them removed or not installed in the first place.
      My take on this is that it makes more sense to remove it as you'll be driving with the tonneau cover down most of the time unless you have kids in the rear seats you need to watch. It being there would just trick you into looking into it instead of at the rear camera display.

    • @Streeknine
      @Streeknine Před 5 měsíci

      @@HenryLoenwind Yeah, but what would make more sense is if they made that mirror a display that could show the rear camera so you don't have to look down at the screen like you do now. Also it frees up the real estate on the main screen. But .. always cutting costs.

    Electric trucks lose up to 50% of their range when towing. Just like gasoline/diesel trucks. The reason people stress about electric trucks is because they take a lot longer to refuel.

    • @HenryLoenwind
      @HenryLoenwind Před 5 měsíci +1

      Not quite. ICE trucks don't suffer that much because the amount of fuel that goes into producing waste heat (~70%) doesn't change much. Only the amount of fuel that actually drives the wheels is affected. And "0.7 + 0.3 * 200%" (1.3 times the fuel use) is less than "1.0 * 200%" (2 times the fuel use)...
      And the longer refuelling time isn't that extreme. A charging stop takes about 30 to 40 minutes, while a stop for gas takes about 10 (if you take the time the car stands there and not just the time the nozzle is in and on). Add buying a snack and going to the restroom to the latter (both are quite common after driving a couple hundred miles), and the difference gets even smaller.
      With the Cybertruck, you're looking at a recharging stop while towing the worst possible trailer after 160 miles and then every 130 miles for the "I need a truck bed" version; or 210 miles and then every 180 miles for the "I mostly tow" version. Or 310/240 or 430/350 when not towing. And somewhere in between when towing a trailer with good aerodynamics. (Those numbers include that you don't want to empty the battery below ~10% to keep some reserve and that charging gets way slower above 80%, so you do it overnight at home but not while waiting.)

      How many Cyber Trucks are going to be, “Iced over” after sitting outside while unplugged for days and, … still have the potential reserve to do 900+ miles because my Super Duty F/350 6.7 Power Stroke w/48 gal fuel reserve can, will & does this every winter with out fail.

    The lack of knowledge he knows about this vehicle is cringing at times. LOL. What makes sense as a engineer is "weird" to others. Ohh....and if you're a man who wants a truck and hates fingerprints? Please dont get a truck. Leave that to men.

    I know he has permission to fingerprint this CT up and all, but If you're NOT the owner of the CYBERTRUCK- and you're wrapping, or showcasing for the consumers, be respectful atleast and wear gloves guys. Trust me, many folks will be showcasing this NEW innovative EV. I'm quite sure CYBERTRUCK owners don't wish to receive their CT back w/ loads of fingerprints-right after you've eaten pizza and used the bathroom.
    I have a very low number as well. When I'm showcasing mine for neighbors or potential buyers/enthusiasts, I will forceful in telling folks do NOT touch until I get her wrapped.

      He’s wrapping the whole truck and detailing the inside and out before the customer receives it… why would it matter that he wear gloves before the work is done?

    The sexual innuendo jokes were super cringe hommie. My dad might have enjoyed them in the 80s, but..do better. Btw- I’m cool with crude jokes, they just need to be clever, not lazy.

    Why would Tesla engineers spend a bunch of time and money doing a perfectly unproductive video like this? Because they can! Thanks for the humour, Tesla.

    You can clearly see what a rip off this truck is. So much hype so little innovation. Looks like it feels cheap. What a sad bunch to be so excited for something so lame and boring. Id love to be in love with this truck but it’s just so…. Stupid.
