nah bro, you have to be really good for years to be known frst, basically wor for free for a few years until you are recocnised. And you have to follow trends, draw the figures of the newest shit to get even more of a following. Plus update as often as possible, the competition is really hard and i fear that 3d will kill 2d in the near future.

What is this comment? 5 - 10% can make a living off of it (according to the video) which says a lot about how well they are paid to just survive. If it's not obvious enough, a small percentage indicates that the general artist doesn't get paid well to live comfortably.

The porn game industry wouldn’t really be a thing for us without Patreon. Before 2015 nobody was making a living off of it

for almost 30 years it was just newgrounds or japan. for 30 years leisure suite larry was the only porn game that made a profit legally. nobody in the west sold A+ games until steam bit the bullet and started selling some around 2018. weve been in the market since almost the 80s
i think the first to make an actual profit by sold copy's not patrions (that was breeding season) was house party. the reason for that was the game grumps liking the game enough they promoted it and the fact you could tern the porn off, so it would just tern into a dating simulator. boom not porn anymore, "hint hint the secret code to renable it is porn, shhhhh"
no porn game made money, now some of the best and most dedicated developers i know make porn games exclusivly as as job

Breeding seasons and son of a bitch were able to make a living if minimal by getting people to find their main page which had payment methods on it. Most thou didn’t understand that we were not japan, and had no market. This was espeshaly oparent when finding out the sad reality that for some reason dlsite and r18 refused to sell western porn games (even to this day thous stupid stupid idiots. they were the market now their dying)
But ya most were for shits and giggles. Hell three of the big legends who created games you’ve probable played if you went into the adult section did it for fun. Comeclad, wape, the girls life community, and hhs+. All still vary active and even to this day they refuse payment of any kind. Comeclad has been in the biz for almost 2 decades now.

Let's be honest here, if an artist has a following and the necessary drawing skills and/or commitment to draw those type of commissions, you know they can make a good gain from that.
My friend makes colossal amounts of money by being the furry artist. Bro…. Furries are RICH and they are nice. She said they were respectful, give clear directions and restrictions on what to draw and what type and gave her tips for her commissions and she had multiple repeat costumers who also help more furries to come to her for commissions because of recommendations
