    My roots have turned black. Is this normal or what should I do? Thanks

    • @RT1home
      @RT1home  Před 16 dny +1

      Are the roots slimey and breaking up in the water? If so, they could be rotten. You might be able to salvage them if you trim off the bad roots and put in fresh water. If not, you might need to start propagating a new Avocado seed 🥑

    Hi. What about cutting the stem every time it grows to 12 inches is that needed😮

    • @RT1home
      @RT1home  Před 10 měsíci +5

      Hello! I would say pruning is optional. You can trim the stem if you want it to grow back thicker or branch out, but it is not necessary. I have a bunch of avocados I have left unpruned for years. They just get tall!

    Does the seed needs sunlight after placing in the glass?

    • @RT1home
      @RT1home  Před 7 dny +1

      Yes. If the Avocado seed is already sprouted you should place in a sunny location as Avocado plants love sun.

      How do they get nutrition?Just, in water..The sunshine & water is all this needs to survive?.Amazing.GOD IS GREAT.GOD BLESS EVERYONE...

    • @RT1home
      @RT1home  Před 10 měsíci +1

      @@captainu.s.a.7980 they get more nutrients if you plant them in soil but they are fine with just water (that you change regularly) and sunshine - they just won't grow as quickly or as much (compared to planted in Soil).

    when I wrap the seed in paper + water in the dark, should I wet the paper every day ? Or during the day ? along the weeks

    • @RT1home
      @RT1home  Před 5 měsíci +2

      Not everyday, only add water if the paper starts to dry out. If you store it in a sealed container, you really only need to check it once a week or so.

    • @RT1home
      @RT1home  Před 2 měsíci

      the tips turned black or is it more dark brown? What kind of soil did you use? How much sun is the plant receiving? And how often are you watering it?

    • @RT1home
      @RT1home  Před 2 měsíci +1

      @@raghdahgh1142 oh ok it's still in water. It's hard to say exactly, but you could try changing a few different things to see if it helps. It could be receiving too much sun if it looks like the leaves are burnt. Or, it could be too dry in your home, you might need to place it near a humidifier. Lastly, it could be a nutrient deficiency, you could try planting it in soil and adding some compost or fertilizer.

    No hate but it is actually 1-2 hours not days

    • @RT1home
      @RT1home  Před 10 měsíci +1

      are you referring to the time to soak the seed before peeling?

    • @user-pm9zu7fy4k

      @@RT1home yes

    • @RT1home
      @RT1home  Před 10 měsíci +3

      @@user-pm9zu7fy4k Timing really varies and all timing listed in the video are approximate guidelines - not exact. In my experience, it is better to wait at least a day to let it soak and remove the skin from the seed. There are so many variables pending on your environment and the seed itself. Some seeds are easier to peel than others. Glad you are able to peel yours so quickly!

    Do I need to replace the water? If so, how often?

    • @RT1home
      @RT1home  Před 6 měsíci +1

      yes - we recommend changing the water every week or 2, whenever the water starts to look dirty/not clear. We have more detailed steps on our blog post if you want more tips! rt1home.com/blogs/how-to/grow-an-avocado-plant-bag-sprouting-method
