What if the girl who was tricked into drinking had actually been an alcoholic but wasn't ready to tell anyone about it? Can you imagine ruining someone's hard-earned sobriety for your own benefit, and then being mad when they don't behave how you want?! I hope that bad friend sees this episode and realizes just how awful her behavior was.

Totally think that 'friend' needs to take a look at their own relationship with alcohol. Like thinking that your friend is only 'fun' when they are drunk, being so *desperate* to have her drink too that you will essentially drug her? That 'friend' isn't just tricking someone into getting drunk - she's one of those people who takes someone else's sobriety as a judgement of her own drinking, because she knows she cannot cope sober. As someone who doesn't drink, I have met those people, and they HATE that you are comfortable not drinking, because they can't stop.

I’m an immigrant in England and had no real clue about the health system here. I got to the hospital and they kept me overnight. My partner could only come see me the next day and missed his football training. He was on course to win rookie of the year and missing training would mean he’d lose the title. I knew I was selfish but I was also so scared and he stayed with me all day until they released me. He never once made me feel bad about it. That’s what a real partner does.

The dinosaur story is not just a red flag, it's a house fire! It's a divorce for sure. She must have known the significance of the toy and her actions her calculated and spiteful. You just don't do that to someone you love, or even care about. She seems gleeful that her husband was hurting, and then completely dismissive of his feelings. If this is how she deals with her frustrations, what is she raising their kids like? I'd cut it off there and then. Someone whose brain works like that is a danger.

She acted to hurt him, I'd say the fact that she took the Dino proves her knowledge of its significance to her husband. Basketball, american football ball, WWE. I would always want to sit down and watch them alone while eating some chicken. My favorite thing. But if my boyfriend was just having a bad day and needed my attention. The game would be turned off. A human being is so much more important. I can watch the game later. I can watch highlights as well. Yeah it’s 100% better watching it live. But if I heard my boyfriend crying. I wouldn’t even be able to think of a game. I’d be sick to my stomach worried about him. Listen, I'm from Brazil, footbal here is a big deal, it is part of our culture just as much as in England. So here is my opinion: what that guy did was absolutely fucked up. She was literally in the hospital, just had a surgery and relied on him. Also, he could have watched the game anywhere (in the hospital, in the hotel) but it is clear to me that he didn't want to. He didn't just put the game before her needs, he put his friends and the "experience" of watching the game. The fact that he felt humiliated by her calling and texting also proves that he is so fucking selfish. She needs to leave (and I'm kinda glad England lost so he doesn't get to celebrate, but I hope she stays safe, considering how angry he could be)

The movie one hit really hard for me. I had a book series that I really enjoyed and a new one was coming out that I was really excited about, so I would talk about it with my friends. I found out later that, because I was talking about it so fondly, my friends decided to listen to the audio book together without me. And they hated it. They spent a lot of time after that making snide comments to each other about the books and the author and as someone who is an English Literature major I could see their points, but it still made me sad and insecure about my taste. By the time the new book came out, I found I couldn't even finish it because I couldn't enjoy the writing anymore. I had started this series when I was young, so I wasn't reading it through my 'critical lense', but just enjoying the nostalgia whenever a new one came out. The whole series was ruined for me, and it just made me really sad.

Say it with me kids: Horses👏 are 👏 not 👏 a 👏 singular 👏 payment 👏 !!! EVER! This person does not seem to understand that. Whether you pay 10k or 2k, after you buy the horse, you WILL have ongoing expenses related to the horse like food, healthcare, housing etc. They say that they've had experience with riding them, but they don't seem very aware of all the other stuff that comes with owning one yourself, as opposed to leasing/riding someone else's. Big AH move, a horse is a big commitment and they just aren't in the right financial position for it. Also side bar, lineage guarantees nothing. Sure it might get you a better performing horse, but its never 100%.
Look at the race horse Phar Lap. The trainer bought him cheap coz his blood lines were good, even though his parents sucked at racing. He did amazing. The trainer bought other yearlings with similar or even better blood lines, and they did terribly. For a 10k first time "investment" the blood lines aren't worth it.

My best friend's Mom was diagnosed with breast cancer and she had a bad reaction to treatment and had to stay in the hospital for an hour longer, and her then-boyfriend just left her at the hospital, stating that it was taking too long and he had a game to watch. Like her mom was literally out of the bed, getting into a wheelchair to come down and get discharged...and he straight up left saying he was bored and she was slow. The "pretending to be Christian" story brought back a weird memory for me. In college, my roommate was from Ghana and it was her first time in the US, and as our freshman year started and we were trying to get to know one another, religion came up and she asked if I was Christian. I said yes out of habit, but I wasn't seriously practicing. America is a very culturally Christian space in that holidays like Christmas and Easter are observed by many, even in secular households. My mom has always been a casual believer, praying and saying she believes but not actually all that wrapped up in church, repenting for sins, or any of the evangelical branches of the religion. On my dad's side, they are Greek orthodox (mostly, some relatives have spread out to other denominations) but this is what I was baptized as. By the time I was in college, I was very comfortable in my spirituality which did not fit with established Christianity. But since it was my only frame of reference and that's how I was raised, I told my roommate that I was Christian too, and we had long talks about what it meant for us as individuals. She seemed to understand that my beliefs were different because she came from a big church in Ghana that her family partially helped run, whereas I was more just a descendant of Christians living in a culturally secular (but heavily influenced by Christianity) world.
As time went on, she would sometimes get bothered by beliefs I had or things that I thought was okay that she didn't agree with, because she was super religious and focused on living a life free of sin. Fast forward to the next year, I joined our campus interfaith group because I felt like I wanted to explore my spirituality in a non judgmental space and also learn about other religions and beliefs. It was easily one of the best environments and communities I found on campus. When I first joined, we would do ice breakers and we were always welcome to share our faith if we felt comfortable. I said Christian when prompted, though I usually added a disclaimer about how my beliefs don't really fit standard christianity, it's just how I was raised and the Greek orthodox church feels the most familiar to me (though I would also typically share that my beliefs were more progressive and not very conservative, so I didn't really subscribe to the religion whole heartedly, it was more for cultural reference). I went back to my dorm room after the first meeting and my roommate asked me all about it. I had invited her to join since she spoke about missing having her faith community, but she did not like the idea of "inter" faith as it was not strictly christian. She asked me what I said when I was prompted to share what religion I associate with, and I said Christian, and she gave me a look of surprise and judgment that made me feel so uncomfortable. I knew that I personally was not a super religious or pious person, but I do believe that it makes sense to acknowledge our cultural frame of reference for our beliefs, even if we don't subscribe to the religion anymore, so saying Christian because that's what my family is and those are the holidays I've always acknowledged makes sense. As time went on, my roommate would invite me to a non denominational church that she found in town that she really liked, and I went a couple times, but the second and last time I went, I felt slightly cornered by people approaching me to confirm whether I had Jesus in my heart or not (kinda putting me on the spot there..) and even the pastor approached me afterwards to "get to know me" but it felt more like an interrogation of what church I'm from, what brought me here, how do I feel about the sermon, etc. I thought it was a weird experience where everyone was trying to witness to me, and it put the last nail in the coffin of whatever past faith I ever had. I'm very comfortable in my spirituality now which is more unconventional and just kinda like agnostic mysticism (haha, idk how to put a label on something so personal, so you're free to laugh if that sounds like garbage) but I completely agree with OP in that reddit post that when you're put on the spot, it's not so easy to say "Oh I'm not christian, you probably wanna try and save my soul now, huh?" Anyone who grew up in such an environment knows how some Christians seek out other to witness to, and I honestly feel like saying something basic like "Oh yeah I believe" without getting into details is a way to protect your boundaries from Christian interrogation.

The film you were talking about where she hits the guy in the balls is "what happens in vegas" and that scene is hilarious😂

The toy dinosaur story is truly heartbreaking. To treat someone you’re supposed to love so cruelly is so f*cked up. How can a person hurt someone they’re supposed to care for? I hope so bad that he finds that dinosaur AND divorces that evil malicious person. I hope he can find happiness one day and teach his poor children kind moral character and virtue 🥺🦖 🦕 💚 I HOPE THERE’S AN UPDATE AND HAPPY ENDING 🤞

I heavily relate with the first story, I don’t drink alcohol because even just a drop makes me violently sick (throwing up and diarrhea). If someone ever did that to me I would make sure to throw up on them

with the pretending to be a Christian this reminds me of an interaction I had at a previous job. Someone sneezed and I said bless you, another coworked asked "if your an athiest why did you say bless you?" I said first im a pagan not an athiest but i was raised in a Christian house hold and to me its habit and common curtosy

What if the girl who was given alcohol stopped drinking because she developed some sort of allergy or intolerance to something in alcohol...
Giving your 'friends' things that they have chosen not to consume secretly is so dangerous, disgusting and selfish wtaf

She did stop because she had an intolerance. She loses brain function (in a way that she finds problematic) when she drinks, which isn't so different from dairy making someone's stomach hurt or nuts making their throat swell.

Listening to you guys talk about broken bones and injuries reminds me that a year ago I broke my tibia completely in half almost through the skin and the same with my fibula but in two different spots and I can tell you that that one definitely hurt more than a sprain

I have a stuffed rabbit that my dad gave me when I was 12 and if my partner got rid of it I would leave. I wouldn’t even talk to them about it, especially if my partner knew how important it was to me. F this woman.
