HRM chest strap ECG vs standard Einthoven II ECG

There are two main sources of artefacts in ECG recording: cable movements and muscle activity (EMG). By mounting the ECG amplifier directly on an ECG strap avoids cable artefacts and the EMG contribution is minimal because the electrodes sit directly over the heart.
