The Greatest James Bond...
Rest In Peace Sean Connery 1930-2020
Az első és a legjobb James Bond.( a második Roger Moore)
He might be gone, but he’ll always be James Bond. Even if fifty other actors eventually take up the role, the character will always be his.
This intro is 55 years old and still gorgeous.
A Guy Called Pi I always liked the film version over the recording.
You uhm.. like that women..?
Time is just a construct of the mind to keep our souls centered on the mission
Visionary genius
Da
That first 10 seconds makes it one of the best Bond intros.
Agreed. So epic
Yes, sets the tone perfectly.
Innit that's my favorite part
@@bluewolvesstudios2822 I can only imagine that on cinema screen and audio, that would be epic.
@@z00mbi3s Would had loved to seen this film on the big screen.
It's a while since I've seen this intro, and I'm surprised and amazed at how cool, slick and modern it looks. It's aged really well compared to other Bond titles that came after. You can feel the energy bursting from the screen.
So ahead of it’s time. This could be an opening of a movie today and I wouldn’t question it
the opening alone better than most movies today lol.
The way it’s so simple and works so well is amazing, and watching it on blu ray with 4k scanning made it look so good
I agree but sadly now they use today's pop music which I cannot stand listening to for even a millisecond
Nothing is better than a movie with a legitimate score
RIP The Great Sean Connery, this was his favorite Bond film.
The legends alwats have to go
And JFK's fav book by Fleming
Maybe he’s spending afterlife fishing somewhere quiet like he talks about in Red October
watched 3 times recently on BBC America..just nostaligic..best bond movie ..really had the elements 60s era..RIP mr Sean Connery will miss you !!
Mine too
Absolutely love the transition to the Bond theme!
Yes. Perfect
I think it's even better when Matt Monroe sings it
@ SetTheToneKY Yes. Perfect transition. It has always been my favourite part of the theme too.
@@positivevibez73 and the lower, original quality of this vid makes it that much better. Haunting but in the best possible way
@@capnprice0673 agreed. The classic Bond themes are by far the best 👌🏿
This theme sounds sexy, dangerous, and exotic. 23 Bond movies later and this is still the best soundtrack in the franchise.
Agreed. I get lots of exotic vibes from it. Mystery too. Basically the perfect spy music when you're in a foreign country, say Russia with a hot blond chick fighting bad guys. And while danger is in the corner, the blondie/ love represents the softer tones in the music like at 1:29, while the very beggining is still mysterious, as if he didn't know the girl yet, but he fell for her.
Perfectly written song. This and Skyfall are my favs. Nobody will make movies like this anymore :(
and the best Bond girl also
I like ohmss best but this is my next best one. Youre right that it sounds sexy and dangerous. The credits were beautiful.
@@CaptainPupuSkyfall opening title is so bad. Don't compare Daniel Craig to the Legend himself Sean Connery.
Sean Connery said that "From Russia With Love" was the best of the Bond movies. I agree.
absolutamente, absolutely yes
I was always partial to "Thunderball."
Me too, just about everything you need from a great Bond film. Except I guess a great theme, though that was before the theme had become such a big part of Bond.
The actual theme, "007" is in "Russia..." as well as, IMHO, the best song... "From Russia With Love" by Matt Monro~~~
I'm partial to Thunderball myself. Great theme song sung by Tom Jones, tropical setting, and sexy hot ladies like Claudine Auger, Martine Beswick, Lucianna Paluzzi, Molly Peters makes this my favorite Sean Connery 007 flick. Claudine Auger is one hot sexy babe!!
This film has the pace, style and whole atmosphere of Bond. Sean outclasses all the other 'Bonds'. Robert Shaw is perfect as the psychopathic Red Grant - and Lottie Lenya as Rosa Klebb - Daniella Bianchi ideal as Tanya - perfect casting all round. Also, where would it be without John Barry setting the mood with his creative theme music? Definitely one of the best!
Absolutely my favorite 007 movie of all time. The gritty, dark, thrill ride & a cat mouse game. And of course Sean Connery at his absolute best.
The opening few bars tell you immediately that this is Bond. Also fair play to Matt Monro for singing such a good theme tune.
Definitely my fave Bond film. Just a great movie.
Happy 60th anniversary to one of the best James Bond movies ever. The train fight is one of the best fight sequences ever put on film. Connery will always be one of the best James Bonds ever. RIP
Hi I Recommend a song Called: 'The Bond Villain' by Robert Nix
I agree ! I have a tattoo when Sean Connery passed away , lettertype thunderball
@@MacDre071Sean Connery, Roger Moore, George Lazenby, Timothy Dalton and Pierce Brosnan are the best Bond. No CGI effects can beat this.
What if this exact theme was recreated with CGI?
Alejandro Gonzalez skyfall beat it already CGI was amazing
League359 cgi cannot recreate themes. Fail.
Johnathan Alvarez Skyfall was toilet paper.
Daniel Olortegui You must be fucking joking.
I will list to you how fucking shit that movie is here and now
one of my favourite James Bond films ever
The first MAJOR 007 movie theme, for one of the very best Bond films ever made.
RIP Sir Sean Connery you will be forever known as the greatest James Bond Ever. ❤ 😢
Agreed
Rest in peace Mr. Sean😔, you are one of the people that has a great part in my childhood.😔
This is when 007 came into its self , Connery is full into the character of Bond , good allies and villains with also character like Kleb, the nasty toad of a Woman " as Fleming wrote Her . Red Grant the Super Soldier of SPECTRE . The first time We meet Q and the first gadget , attaché case ,and of course the opening images on women's bodies very cool for 64'by Binder as the opening music plays. This Bond , James Bond in character as written.
+Dan Reese I'll bet you didn't know Kleb was Lotte Lenya, made famous in the song Mack the Knife. She was a lover of Bertold Brecht, and a great actress in her younger days - kind of sexy looking in a strange way if you check out her early photos
Also it's the first film when Bond carries an actual Walther PPK (He had a bigger PP in Dr. No)
ApacheBob What you said about Lotte Lenya , in what way she related to that song . Wasn't it about a serial type killer ? Dunno about viewing her pictures when I keep seeing her as she was in that film LOL Ill check them out
***** those Walther PPKs are small guns but not sure what pistols they had back then now there's about 5 different guns , I prefer the Walther PPX . I wish they upgrade Bond to one .
Dan Reese It's simple:
Dr. No - Walther PP
Live and Let Die - briefly S&W model 29
Octopussy - briefly Walther P5
He got a P99 in Tomorrow Never Dies which he retained up to Casino Royale.
Skyfall - briefly a PPK/S in 9×17 mm Browning short with a fingerprint safety
And in the rest a PPK in 7,65 mm Browning. (Although Craig may have carried a 9×17 mm PPK).
PPX is imho too big, that's why they got rid of the P99 in the first place. I think the best option would be PPS M2, ideal for concealed carry and a bit elegant (Let's face it, bond's gun has to be elegant).
Or something else than a Walther, maybe some compact SIG.
But I fear he's going to keep the PPK. Firearms age way better than cars (or women), that's why he went through so much of them, while he kept the same weapon. I fear it's a bit of a trope, though...
This is the best Bond theme in my opinion. A perfect audio portrayal of the elegance and mystery of the classic Bond era.
Very creative solution for an opening. This paved a way for the franchise's style. All other films tryied to copy it, but this remains the ultimate opening for me.
Dangerous, exhilarating, and exotic are the words that come into mind when you first hear about this wonderful theme. This movie is nothing short of being defined by it.
Nothing beats *Classic!*
From Russia with Love will forever remain as the best James Bond movie ;)
Ayhan BAŞEREN not Goldfinger?
@phuloc6 well i do agree it probably had the most attractive bond girl. And robert Shaw was a great villain. And the soundtrack too. Dang i guess it was lol
In Connery era of Bond, From Russia With Love is my favourite.
You misspelled Thunderball.
@@jeffolsen7566 russia has a more intricate plot. Gf overall is high high entertainment. Its my # 2 fav Bond film but even I have to admit the script needed better work. 007 turning Pussy around into betraying GF was ....well....you can figure what I'm trying to say. Also Bond was captive half of the film. The gadgets characters and Bond's action and golf scenes are the best. Even the black tie dinner with M was a masterstroke. I loved the exchange with Q in this one.
All Bond films have a special place in my heart especially Sir Sean Connery & Sir Roger Moore (R.I.P.). Seeing the early films on TV and going to some of Moore’s later films as a kid growing up had a huge influence on me. I saw Moonraker, Octopussy & A View To A Kill as a little kid. Growing up with Bond, Bruce Lee, Clint Eastwood and Star Wars was amazing. Nowadays everything is a remake and rarely original.
Whoever thought of having a precredit action scene followed by a bombastic theme somg during the suggestive credits scene on all James Bond films is pure genius. It sets the tone and mood for the escapism and fantasy that the world of James Bond encapsulates which is why it endures and picks up new fans no matter how long it has been around.
The best Bond film. Not only that it's a great Spy thriller in its own right.
This is my favorite Bond film✨
The two best James Bond openings, this and Goldfinger, were both done by an amazing talent Robert Brownjohn.
Decades before computers took over, it just took, a slide projector, a belly dancer, and John Barry' fantastic music to make this one of the best ever. For Goldfinger he replaced the slides with a movie projector to create another classic.
definitely, normally i'd say that Dr. no was the best movie because it kicked of the decades spanning franchise that's still going strong today but in this case it's tied between goldfinger and from russia with love, Gold finger basically started the bond persona with the fancy car, hot girl and tons of gadgets while from Russia with love perfected the spy genre
I would say every generation has its own heroes, even though I rather Connery as Bond, the best sountracks to my taste were performed during the 80´s.
This theme song isn't by John Barry. It's by Lionel Bart.
You'll be missed Mr. Bond.
I have watched all Bonds countless times, for me, this is the best.
To me this will always be the perfect Cold War spy film. The locations, the music, the characters... so good!
And this opening was so daring and fresh for the time period. Imagine pitching this to the studio!
When the low brass kicks in at the start if the song I get goosebumps every time!
These films cultured me. I used to go out of my way to greet people in there language, and I was always surprised how well it worked. Shaken, but not stirred...
The first few bombastic notes give me chills every time. Pure danger
This is by far the best Bond movie imo
In my opinion, the best opening credits of any bond movie.
R.I.P to the greatest James Bond of all time... Sir Sean Connery. His legend of 007 will live forever. From Russia With Love, Dr. No, and Goldfinger are my all time favorite James Bond movies... In that order. Rest easy 007. You will be missed.
Nothing beats the classics.
RIP Sean
I rewatched From Russia With Love with my family in your honour!!!
The embodiment of the swingin sixties
Take me back to 1963. This was the best of the bunch for Sean Connery.
I liked how the music ends with the James Bond theme music!!!
A classic remains a classic
One of the, all time, most sensational, Grande Movie Opening Titles of ALL TIME!! Goosebumps here....wow!!! John Barry...what can I say?
Definitely one of the best opening themes of all time!
Rest in peace ✌️ Sean Connery and say hello to Roger Moore! Blessings and hugs 🤗💞🤗🙏🙏🙏🙏!

Descanse en paz
My favorite Bond film. I think it's perfect and the most realistic plot.
One of the best orchestral themes in the history of music - let alone in a movie - Mr John Barry is a BOSS!.
Loved this song because of how it transitions smoothly into the 007 theme
RIP Mr. Bond
Hearing the news made me think of this for some reason
Becuse is sean connorys favorite bond movie

Pedro Armendáriz committed suicide by gunshot on 6/18/1963 after finishing his role, this was his final film and a posthumous release.
I think this and On Her Majesty's Secret Service are the best Bond themes, nothing else comes close to the pure thematic congruence.
I love the two you mentioned, but View To A Kill and You Know My Name were great too.
Yes, I agree with you.
Rip to a legend💔
This is Bonds magnumopus. A true full blooded film belonging to the spy genre. No cgi or outlandish gimmicks. Just cloak & dagger within a plot that is plausible fun and able to be followed.. # 1 Bond film forever.
Hands down my favorite bond movie, this is your quintessential spy film
The font, colour and quality of this looks like it could have been done in recent times. One of the best title sequences, IMO.
When I showed a screenshot of the 4K remaster of the old films to my friends, they thought they were modern movies. When I told them this was from the 60's. They were speechless for 5 minutes.
Even the music sounds and feels modern
Very good theme! In my top half for Bond songs overall

From Russia with Love
But Bond will be back in Goldfinger.
Look at the opening credits! WOW! I agree. It was the best with Goldfinger a close second! I mean Shirley Bassey singing! A show stopping!
My favourite Bond movie. Always has been and always will be.
Behind the Iron Curtain,
the soft under belly of Mother Russia,
OH! my Charm!
Am I the only one who prefers From Russia With Love and its theme over Goldfinger and its song ? Don't get me wrong, I love Golfinger and its theme but I prefer the less is more approach of From Russia With Love.
I also prefer this film and song. My favourite Shirley Bassey song is Moonraker.
+II DIRECTx II I love them all but, I am an 80's kid and I love For Your Eyes Only.
Ian Morse Very good Bond movie, kinda a reboot for the franchise after Moonraker. It was the first serious, more down to earth Bond movie. A bit underrated in my eyes too (no pun intended)
+II DIRECTx II From love with love theme's is one of the best!!! along with On her magesty's secret secret service.
I prefer the movie as well, it feels like a real cold war spy thriller, with a more realistic and complex plot, and Connery really comes into his own.
The title “From Russia With Love” hits quite differently now doesn’t it?
A Master Piece!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I never liked that there was no singer for this. It's such a banger of a song.
true...it needs lyrics and a vocal
@soulfulsilver4917 they should have had Matt sing this!
The best Bond film, nudging out some awesome ones.
The best James bond movie of Sean Connery.

Looking forward to when this comes back around again
Best Bond Film :DD
I watched it for the first time in about 22 years on New Year's Eve 2019 and forgot how great it was. Also, the sex tape plot device was decades ahead of it's time.
RIP GREATEST BOND ♥️
ALL 007 ARE ALWAYS THE BEST - MY NAME IS BOND - FANTASTIC PRESENTATION
This is the dopest intro out of all of them
Magnificent collection, thank you.
To me these films set a standard that has not been matched despite the technology
I love the way the made an instrumental version of the song then turn it into the Bond theme tune
Best of all the Bond movies.
My favourite Bond soundtrack
This and "On Her Majesty's Secret Service" are the two best main titles in the series, by a wide margin as well as the two best films, overall). It just shows how impressive music can be, when not ruined by the presence of people singing.
Still, my favorite Bond movie...
This movie is almost 60 years old and to this day nobody has overlayed the vocal version of this song on top of the opening instrumental version.
the first couple of seconds of the intro are so good. rip Sean
The Best 007 intro, impressive
Rest in peace, connery. ❤
I LOVE all songs of 007 😍
Adding that organ to the original instrumental version was a stroke of genius, combined with Robert Brownjohn's incredible titles.
Best titles, followed by Goldfinger and OHMSS. They FELT like Bond!
They SOUND like Bond! They LOOK like Bond. Those new ones can't hold a candle to these 3. Maybe CR comes close...
