Have had a Model 3 for about 5 years and love it. Video, however, glosses over that real risk of being without your vehicle for weeks or months when notable repairs are required (think car accident, simple bumper no longer that simple) not to mention the inconvenience of Tesla service stations and the fact that many shops won't touch a Tesla because they don't know what they are doing and don't want the risk.
Don't get me wrong, we want a 2nd Tesla because of all of the benefits but people need to fully understand what they are buying before they put $50+K into the purchase of a vehicle that is at the cutting edge of technology.

My understanding is the tax credit is not how much you owe it's your tax liabilty. So if you have 6 kids this will have an affect. My understanding is its box 24 of your tax form. Just an FYI.

Its better to work with a credit union to get a brand new tesla. They have better rates. Buying a brand new gas powered car is almost impossible for most people with these insane dealer markup prices. More so brand new teslas still retain value compared to brand new gas cars, tesla is not perfect but they offer a good bargain for their prices.
The speed of the performance models compensate for their prices, if you were to get a car with 0-60 in under 4 secs, especially gas powered cars you are going to spend nothing less than $70K as based MRSP, when you add options it goes higher. Tesla performance model 3 and Y are both under $60k even when maxed out to the highest options [excluding self driving] with their 0-60 in 3.1secs-3.5secs
