Got into The Anti-Nowhere League in early eighties when I was 13/14. Am now in my fifties😢 but still love them. Seen them good few times over the last decade and had the pleasure of meeting Animal at Scotland Calling about a decade ago. He was sound as fuck. I amused him by telling him story of when I had an actual tantrum in a market aged 13 as my Mum wouldn't let me buy a I hate people t-shirt! He was really friendly and funny. A couple of years before, my boyfriend managed to blag a free t-shirt off him after crowd surfing at Aberdeen gig. He got it signed by all the band. They still get me going, and I still remember all the lyrics to I hate people and most of the first album. So fucking what! Love ya Animal! ❤😘
How refreshing... I haven't listened the this in 30 years, but came across it in a serial killer series. Gotta say I love this Song.

I respect Bands that stick together for decades and decades.
I bought the 7" vinyl Single because I thought it was hilarious and a novelty song.
Plus, like a lot of people in their 20's and Teens in the early 80's we liked a catchy PUNK tune.
Something to jump around to and sing a catchy phrase.
The B-side to " Every Mother wants a boy like Elton " by Dame Edna Everage " is an hilarious "Punk" tune.
She says she feels 'soiled' singing the lyrics.
It's hilarious and the Band's music is very PUNK.
The Sex Pistols are Punked -up pop tunes, very catchy.
Same with The Buzzcocks and Ramones very catchy melodies and Rhythms/Riffs.
I saw Anti-Nowhere League at the TIVOLI in George St. Sydney in the 80's and it was a great Rock gig.
They knew how to play their instruments very well, which gave them the scope to play raw Punk noise. Bloody brilliant.
FYI, DEAD KENNEDYS are all Jazz trained musicians, which means they can play whatever the Fuck they want to.
Saw them in 1983 at THE NARRABEEN ANTLER HOTEL on the Northern Beaches of Sydney, wild carefree days.

Well, during the song you can notice that the singer got old, but at the chorus...he evokes and shows all the aggressiveness that back in the day made the orginal song so brilliant.
