I would enjoy seeing Robert Downey Jr return for Secret Wars as Iron Man alongside Tobey Maguire and Hugh Jackman. Hopefully Tom Cruise does show up as a character in the MCU eventually.

Tom Cruise would make an amazing villain version of Iron Man. This would be a career opportunity for Tom Cruise to do a role he’s never done and I think it would serve the franchise well. Let this lead up to a bigger project. Superior Iron Man and World War Hulk films would make some of the best villain arcs!

I think it would be incredible to see Tom Cruise Superior Iron Man fighting a revived Tony Stark. Would love the Tom Cruise version to be in Secret Wars, help a team similar to Spider Island arc, and then revealed to be Kang/Doom-built synthezoid as he kills one of our Spider-Men.

Honestly, I thought for a while, the best way to introduce this specific character is using what if before taking a life action. It will provide an introduction for those who don’t know the character, and honestly, I think it would look pretty cool.
I agree in this. They should use different ideas that they will scrap and use from marvel what if. Just to see what the audience thinks of each idea
If you consider a possible one-off appearance for him, Cruise would make a great team leader for Alpha Flight as Guardian. I am willing to bet that team will never get a standalone film or Disney+ series and it would add to the legion of heroes if they want to just throw everyone and the kitchen sink into Secret Wars.
I feel like if Tom Cruise showed up in Deadpool 3 it would be some throw away role, like Brad Pitt as Vanisher in Deadpool 2.
The Superior Iron Man comic series itself could easily stand on it’s own as a feature film, especially with Daredevil making a comeback. There are so many great stories in the comics that are just ignored in the MCU films, this being one of my favorites.

If they do get Tom Cruise in the MCU my bet would be he is a cosmic character, in particular The Runner. If nothing else it can be certain that there will be a sprinting scene.
The Runner is fast enough to time travel, so his presence in this saga could be made very interesting.
Ever since I saw the fan casting of Tom Cruise as a version of Tony Stark, I've always taken an interest to see how that will go. So I hope this is true.
It actually technically isn’t a fan cast. Originally marvel was interested for Tom cruise as Tony stark back in 2008.
He honestly was the top choice before RDJ took the helm so that is why they are doing this thought. So I'm really hoping he is with Tobey in his universe that would be awesome!
If this is true then one thing that will be a challenge is making some armor that can be sprinted in.

I personally don't know what's coming, but it feels like the recent projects could be better. Hoping Loki Season 2 gets me really excited again for MCU projects. Started watching all the previously Netflix Marvel projects and wondering if Disney can match the tone of what I've watched so far with some upcoming projects. And also, not knowing how long the project delays will be as of now, makes me wonder what kind of quality projects we'll see moving forward. Just some personal thoughts, we'll see what happens.
Yeahhh like the shows were the only thing great about phase 4 the movies sucked other then Spiderman & Shang chi & so far everything sucked in phase 5 Guardians 3 everything else suck I think they need new writers cause it's just trash there putting out

3:14 you can do him as AI and still have tony full body and face using holographic tech. well he's in the suit its extremely easy just putting little holoprojectors in the face of his suit and also projectors on the suit with little holodrones like Mysterio and be able to see the full tony anywhere the suit is and have projectors at avengers bases and anywhere tony would be at regularly.

RDJ would be fantastic especially if he can come back as superior Ironman cuz it'll give him a nice take on the character and let him be different. That's my personal take but granted I still think Tom Cruise as the same character would be incredible but as you said having such a huge actor as a 1 off could work as it did with Krasinski but who knows if Cruise would do it

Marvel should use that universal door thats inside Dr Strange's sanctum (the one from the first DS movie) to reveal all of the cameos that will be in secret wars instead of using the portals again. It'd be a fun new way of watching the avengers travel across the universe bringing all the OG marvel characters together for a big battle rather than just repeating the endgame portal scene.

Tom cruise could pull of the evil more sinister type of Tony while rdj is a serious jokester for me. Changing the actor will help show the difference in who they are a long way. I would love to see RDJ along side Hugh Jackman's Wolverine and Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man all together in Secret Wars and RDJ as Superior Iron man will be really great to have because that is when we get to see a different version of RDJ's Iron man but I still think Tom Cruise Superior Iron man will be incredibly Awesome and I see him as a perfect fit for that character but as you said having huge actor such as Tom Cruise for a 1 off cameo could work the way it did with John Krasinski's Reed Richards but what if it does happen (I mean who knows whether he would it), apart from that I really don't see Tom Cruise as any character in the Multiverse Saga apart from Superior Iron man or any other Iron man variant

I think it would be cool if in doctor strange 3 or another multiverse movie before secret wars, if we see iron man but when he takes off his helmet he’s Tom C, he could even point out that he probably doesn’t look the same as we are used to. Then we’d find out that he is evil and this would lead to the return of RDJs Ironman returning to save everyone. He could also be from a different timeline so our Ironman stays dead. Kinda like what they are doing with Hugh’s Wolverine.
