In my opinion prepaid is still cheap & best...if I will take Airtel 399rs postpaid plan... it's compulsory to pay at least 3 bill cycle...means 470×3=1410rs...then company will allow me to switch to prepaid...but in prepaid I am free for any amount of recharge...either 15days, 28days, 6months or 1 year...
Prepaid is better as you get to know exactly how much to pay and how much you get. And prepaids also have bulk data FYI.
Vi provides bill for prepaid recharges also since long time, I don't know whether you have done a complete research or not.
in my opinion:
If you have Broadband/Fibre, at home and office allows Wifi for social media then use PrePaid, just remember try to have different connections if you use Airtel, let your dad or mom use Jio or your sibling use VI so for some reason your data connection is bad and Broadband is down you have good back up.
Prepaid I spend 448 (Now 455) for 3 months I was postpaid for about 12 years waste of money.

@@nickybandil166 at home and office I use Wifi so don't need Mobile data much except while travelling, so I recharge 455 (earlier it was 448), gives 6GB for 84 days, most cases I hardly use 2-3 GB rest carry forwarded, this works best for my usage.
I have fiber at home and for office I need data in that case i think family plan is good for me!

man! i have been a postpaid user for almost 10+ years and ultimately I switched to prepaid, the main reason was lack of good plans and useability, there is far more plans in prepaid (and much cheaper) where as a person only gets 3-4 types of plans on a postpaid. postpaid is useless in every condition (other than JK thing) Lol and a waste of money also.

What you say is not actually the situation, ppl decide according to their need n requirement.
People are not fools, they know which suits them and which is economic. More over telecom company plans are expensive already nowadays.
My opinion prepaid is best, bcx 3 month plan. And now most ppl have broadband in home. So we can use data in home.

In any case prepaid is better (except commercial use or going to J&K). Even if we buy OTT or recharge every family member's sim still prepaid is way economical and value for money. India is a price sensitive market.

in prepaid you get what you paid for . when using postpaid i had check bill every time and every time i used get more then plan. one time i got heavy bill claiming excess use of data but i didn't use any extra data and had to keep calling customer care to settle.. finally issue was resolved only after raising issue in consumer forum!!
They changed to prepaid only after making porting request..i have paid full month bill b4 6 days of bill cycle till i got message to clear due around 25% and i have paid because i want to come of that trap first
