- My best settings for the wheel on Project Cars 2! I am using the Thrustmaster TX base with the 599XX Alcantara rim but these settings ought to work on wheels by other brands.
Settings for both the controller and wheel are partially down to personal preference therefore they may not be the best for everyone but I found them to be the best after 4 days of testing.

Revelation! My settings were ok but yours makes the car so much more stable, thanks. At first I thought the brake sensitivity was too low for me but I persevered. Mine was set a lot higher as was throttle sensitivity. With your settings there's a little more under my foot which gives me a better feel. I'll experiment with a little more sensitivity but I'm getting a step change in feel and results, thanks again my man!

Hello! I've loved racing games for years. Early on, i loved Gran Turismo, and once i converted to xbox i got into forza 3,4,5,6 and the horizon games. But after Forza 6, and the junk lobbies i got really discouraged in trying to race clean and get faster lap times as the forza games seem to be mostly a "horrible smash up derby experience". Not all the time, but most of the time. Anyway, I decided i wanted more of a sim experience so i went out and bought a tmx pro wheel setup. I also bought Project Cars 2. I couldn't find any good settings that i like. So i searched your vids to see if you had done a vid on settings, and here I am. I put in all the inputs, and WOW! It worked very well with my TMX. Thanks so much for doing this, and all your other vids. I've been watching you for a few months now and have recently subscribed! Thanks again!
Good video man . I was close to those watching this vid. I am on G29 on Ps4. I dialed little less Volume and little more tone. Your dampening settings helped a lot . Good stuff .

Even I could not find the damper sensitivity. Maybe it s due to that my wheel is a g27 or due to the game version

Thanks for the settings. Definitely a good starting point. I tweaked mine slightly from your settings for my TMX wheel but not much. Huge improvement over default for sure.

Yeah and on some cars its like the track is covered in WD-40, sometimes I cant get them up to temp depending on the track
because its a rubbish bugy crap game. Galaxies far from first one.

Thanks for the settings.. i have the exact same setup and was struggling to get the wheel feeling somewhat decent...Something that has helped me with my turn in is turning off TC and ABS in the cars ECU menu....although i have it turned off in my driver assists its still there in the cars ECU settings... once those are turned off the cars feel 100% better overall... at least the lower powered cars.. haven't tried it on the faster cars as yet

I have a PS4 Pro and not an Xbox like the OP. His settings are the best I've tried thus far - BUT for the PS4 I did tweak it a liiiiittle bit to make it perfect. After 5 laps I beat my old time by almost 2 seconds. So, I copied all his settings exactly except for the FFB settings (the "Damper Saturation" - PS4 menu does not have it). Here are mine - RAW - 72/60/45/60

Two years later I can finally enjoy this game, still not easy to drive but at least now it doesn’t feel like driving on ice. I even had to adjust the AI difficulty from 35 to 65, haha
Will these settings work well with Class A street cars such as the Laferrari, 918, and 720S?
Thanks for this, really makes a difference (and was getting quite mad at the game). Put the gain to 85 myself as I find 100 to heavy. Do you know if you can change rotation somewhere. Think it is 900 by default and that is way too much for me.
you can change it in wheel calibration, just lock the second rotation at whatever you want, but be aware that lowering degrees actually increases it (weird), so you have to lock it at around 1000 degrees or 1100 degrees in order for it to feel closer to 700. Hope this makes sense... Oh, you will also have to remove the visual arms and game wheel because they will turn completely out of sinc to your wheel (which is distracting)...
I have the same base and rim, tried these settings and honestly controlling most of the cars is utterly horrible in PCARS 2. I get much better FFB and have better control over the cars in Assetto Corsa without touching a single setting.
That’s because AC has a really nice ffb and physics while pcars2 just doesn’t...
Do you have a TH8A shifter? Mine won't work properly, It's like the game only wants to use paddles (PC). I don't know how to make it work, any idea?
One more question. What does Menu Spring Strength mean?
i have a huge understeer with every car in this game is it because of the settings of my thrustmaster or tuning settings? I think i tried everything with tuning getting that understeer out but nothing works...
What if I don't have the damper saturation section in my game would that be cause I'm using the tmx steering wheel
I have no idea how you were able to run that much steering sensitivity. I've been messing with this settings with a GT3 car on Spa and it's been allowing me to drop my lap times by seconds. However!, whenever I go to a track with a long straight away I get the most god-awful vibration at speed I can't even hold on to the wheel. If you have any idea how to eliminate this please let me know.

What do you set your Degrees of rotation? I feel like 540 would be perfect so you don't have to turn wheel around numerous times during hairpins
I'm having huge problems with PC2 on PS4 with my g29 wheel. Can't seem to get degrees of rotation to reduce when in racing cars. Feels like I'm driving a bus. Must be a bug
I can't catch the oversteer like in many other racing sims. When I start to slide/drift it feels very good, but suddenly it just snaps! Like it was Forza Motorsport or something. That snap is my main issue with this game. I'm also on the TX on Xbox One X.
Im on the pc the defaults with raw flavor feels decent to me but im looking forward to trying these settings out to see if it feels any better never hurts to try and im just to lazy to get jack spades ffb download settings lol this is a lot faster to do anyways im also running a tx wheel but with fanatic v3 pedals

Question for you cocker, what about steering calabration radius. On my g920 it has a maximum angle of 900° and when i calibrate it i only want like 180° so i only have to take my hands of the wheel but that makes everything super twitchy! Any ideas on how to get it smoother and i quite like a strong force feedback ?
Never go below 540 bud. Anything lower is too twitchy. I leave it on 900 personally as it feels more realistic to me but in your case I think 540 would be sweet spot.
Super GT, are you getting Forza 7 on the 29th? Or are you waiting for the regular release on October 3rd?

I just picked up PC2 yesterday for PS4.....I’m coming from F1, and in this game every car feels undrivable. As soon as I enter a corner the rear end snaps out. I even tried full driver assists. I’m going to try these settings night as I am not enjoying this game at all right now.
Yeah, you have to learn gentle on the throttle and brake. Slow in, fast out. It’s fun when you get the hang of it.
Menu spring is how hard that steering wheel is going to slam back to default position.. keep it low or get out of its way.
My configuration wheel menu does not show the damper saturation bars, and since u mentioned it's an important one how do I bypass that!!

Nope changed my mind and traded this game in for Forza 7 yesterday. I didn't spend a couple hundred bucks on a Thrustmaster wheel just to spear off into the boonies from understeer on every second corner. I also didn't want to go back to another Forza but after trying Assetto Corsa and Project Cars 2 I'll reluctantly admit Forza is the only option for driving games on the xBox One.
Buck's Outdoors I think you're wrong..what driving assists or steering lock do you use? I just got project cars 2 because forza sucks for racing..it's great for drifting and engine swaps which is why i still have it, but pc2 is actually so realistic and much better for racing, i actually thought there was almost no understeer the turn in was quick and precise, the way the car moves is realistic, i didn't get any of this in forza 7 and i bought it on release

I can not choose my steering wheel in that menu. What do i need to do because when i do something likw controller my wheel reacts to heavy and still after doing the sensivity settings

hey thanks for the video I have the same wheel. I would like to know the settings you are using on the wheel himself. how many degree of turn are you using, the sensivity of the wheel.... just every parameter you can adjust in the wheel despite the game you are playing. thanks bro.
He's using it on an Xbox One .. I'm not sure that he can adjust the wheels settings outside of the game like a PC user can :/
The Tx allows you to adjust the DOR and sensitivity on the base through button combos on console.
Kool I'll try thst damper saturation, I would advise you to change world movement to 100. For propper sync with car suspension and road its off,
Plus I'd advise people to always keep gain in game to 100, and turn down TM folder on pc to whatever strength you want,

How do you set up a T500 on PS4. The PS4 is picking up it’s signal (eg. I can control the PS4 with the wheel) but I just can’t change the “type” of controller. It still says “wireless controller default” pls help me out
A for effort on the set up. I have a thrustmaster which isn't a bad wheel. These settings numb up the forced feedback quite a bit for me. In reality cars really tug and stock settings are decent at replicating that. Steering wise it helped but if you like a lot of force feedback, keep it on immersive and keep volume down a bit.
I have a question... I have Thrustmaster T150 driving wheel and I have the same settings as in this video. And when I drive not very fast cars for example gt5 cars then everything is allright, but when I drive faster cars for example Ferrari or Lamborghini it is impossible to steer on the turnings... the car is slipping and it is very difficult to turn... Has anybody solution to this?

Before you start the game activate your steering wheel, and then activate the game by pressing the button X or A( PlayStation or Xbox) on your wheel. And don’t press any buttons on your controller. After it check menu settings( still don’t press any buttons on your controller). After it, I believe it will help!

It's never ending. Her one car right after a year have to start again with every car. They should simplefi it like asseto which feels the best of them all. Pc pc2 I've never been able to get spot on just numb
Would be cool to see you do a race with AI in identical car to you, start from last with difficulty at like 105 but against like 12-15 AI so there's less fuckery at the first corner!

My f1 wheel doesn’t map properly, any solutions to fix it?
I found the feedback settings WAY TOO HIGH. I turned them down quite a bit. I am still getting used to the amount of steering input needed. I prefer less input myself but I think I can get used to it.

You need to find better set up for the car.
Your wheel settings do not work for a Thrustmaster TMX Pro...The wheel keeps snapping out of my hands when i push the car to go as fast as I can on a PAD...its the force feedback and its horrible...i camt drive the car with a wheel...ive tried and tried and i keep plowing on exit or spinning out due to force feed back

i dont know how you do it, put your settings in, and same damn car on road america, im loosing the back end in 3rd gear on a straight line. I spin out 6 times a lap...And this from a guy who was fairly good on forza.. maybe thats the problem? I wanted to love this game... So frustrated right now.
