I’d rather keep deebo and ship out Zach even if it’s simply for role players. Truth be told Coby White has been playing Zach’s role better than Zach was playing it. Hope the best for the Bulls and Zach though.
Bulls dug themselves in this hole by choosing to add Demar and Vuc, who essentially are Zach Lavines in other positions, instead of actually building a team around Zach. Then they paid Zach all this money and still chose not to build around him. This has been the bulls MO for years.

Bulls were foolish to go “all in” on this roster in the first place. Bringing Demar and Vucevic just stunted Coby and Pat wills growth. Both of them now with opportunities to actual shoot the ball are showing their true potential.
One thing that bothers me in sports is sometimes organizations hold on to long to players because of the “name” rather than letting the next young guy to make a name. Vucevic put up numbers on a bad Magic team and it was only like 18-10. Anyone with a basketball brain should have known he wasn’t that guy. If you’re on a bad team you need to be averaging mid to high 20s
Have you seen Vuc's stats on the Bulls, he's still doing close to those numbers but average efficiency and defense.
I see what they were going for by having Lonzo and Caruso on their team. Because that back court defensively is a nightmare.
But Lonzo not being there through so many things out of whack for them.
They went 9-5 in December. And beat some really good teams.
They shouldn't blow it up yet but they have to find a way to make everything work. And so far they are doing that
A lot of owners are just worried about making more money. So they're looking at ticket and merchandise sales.

They weren't foolish at all really because they had Lonzo running things on offense if he had never gotten injured things would be way different right now unfortunately he did then you just can't count on him coming back and becoming that same player that he was and that messed everything up.
I do feel like a team like the Hornets would be desperate enough to do something like Gordon Hayward another young player and a pick for LaVine

I think the biggest reason Chicago having difficulty trying to Zach is because of the type of contract he has I don't think many teams would be interested unless Chicago consumed some of the cost of his contract but it won't be easy finding a team willing and wanting to take on the contract

Honestly the Nets could easily do it. Because they have a terrible contract on their own roster and they need a number 1 scoring option which lavine can be hes can also pass pretty good. Bulls take on Simmons contract which expires next year and both teams should be pretty happy.
It sucks that Zach Lavine has become the entire scapegoat for how the bulls can’t succeed but it’s not just on him. The offense has no flow. They don’t play good defense Billy Donovan is proven time and time out that his rotations are not always as good and they don’t recruit well in free agency either and the players they draft need more time than they’re willing to give them to develop because they’re so needed right now, but let’s address the real issue the bulls need Lonzo ball the city of Chicago needs Lonzo Ball bc he effects so much on the court offensively and defensively losing him was a huge loss that they still haven’t found a way to recover from you. Those are facts about Westbrook, as Lake fan watching basically every game you clearly seen one of the high paid players on that team playing like he had all his abilities taken away from him. He played terrible. He clearly was supposed to be the 2nd or 3rs option or run the court with him and a cast around him. He could no neither, he was a terrible decision maker. He is on my looking good now because he is playing for a team that will never win and don't have high quality work expectations.

Nah not really lol. They were one of the best teams in the east during D-Rose's peak years and they continued to be a legit playoff team when Jimmy Butler became an all star.
Of all people Bob Myers should not be criticizing for a team not wanting to do a rebuild.
Lavine is going to have to play winning basketball. Stats are one thing, but buying into the team concept, and playing better D is crucial. His contract is nearly impossible to trade. His limitations on D have hurt his value; and he's not great at sharing the ball. Constant switching on defense in today's league means elite players must play D, especially on the perimeter. Lavine doesn't offer that unless he changes.
