All I gotta say is bravo my good sir. Teach these guys that building, music, business and support kills the whole bullshit of a billion dollars because you're hacking adulthood and trust me.People who are stuck to their jobs by clocking in/out and being vengeful, spiteful or hateful really need to understand it doesn't stop you from living life, making money, and hell...you even met a chick while doing it all. People just don't understand. That's how you do it. Much props Outdoor Embrace
I mean these are so cool. Visiting family you have options of privacy and saving loads of money.
Trust me I know what I'm talking about, Bubbles. Lol
Love this
The freedom of moving around when you want, not have a mortgage and utilities, that’s what’s really appealing to me. Life in a van sounds sweet right now.
I love that you put your bed in along the side instead of across the back. Everyone puts theirs across the back, and it takes up a HUGE part of the available room. Everyone wants a large bed, which is not really something that is needed to be comfortable, and to get good sleep.
I’m a retired woodworker/ cabinet maker
Excellent job young man !!
You're the most sincere and genuine aggressive stralth van boy
Hands down my favorite van build in a cargo van.
It's crazy how it looks bigger once you convert it. Very nice
That’s the first I’ve seen a wood stove inside a van build!! Absolutely amazing! Cheers!
I like the build but a wood stove inside is somewhat dangerous since there is a gas tank under the van. Be very careful brother.
Hello...raPope here in northeast Tennessee. I built my van back in 2019...then life happened and the van sit for 5 years. I've decided to start over and can't wait to get started with my grandson as my sidekick in the build. Watching your video was all it took to get me motivated again. Thanks.
Any person who decides to live like this is nothing less than a GENIUS!!!. Why be a slave to the system.
Because I enjoy living in a house
I've lived in house for 50 years.. It's over rated..
Great comment
@Bill Rayvan lol
Nobody wants to be a slave but we all have to work so we can buy what we need and want in life besides just work for food 😁
This is how many people are going to build their own van
👇🏽
me included :)
Most People that want one build their own!!!!!
Definitely
I copied this build pretty hard hahahh
@@anitablades6033 yeah because everyone have so much money!!!!!
home run im over 70 and worked in the custom R V business for about 10 years . your video is great .very easy to fallow.
Great job, I'm in process of getting a Van & doing the same thing, as we're selling the house, cuz I'm 82 yrs old, a disabled Vet & tired of making house payments, this way we can travel around the US & visit our children & what's left of the family that are still alive.
Just got it all set in stone. I’m buying my van today! You have been my biggest source of inspiration. Keep it up man, you’re changing lives!
Fuck yeah! This is what it's all about!!! DO IT!!! Add me on FB! I'm Ryan Bell with the same default picture.
I agree and good luck to you, I start mine soon too, just not sure how soon. In the process of dickering a price.
@@OutdoorsEmbrace I think this is the coolest thing tbh, I really dig it.
Molton Coss I was 19 and homeless now I’m 23 and out of a Chevy/GMC express.
Yeah..THIS WAS WAS REALLY COOL...IM PLANNING ON DOING THIS IN ABOUT 4 OR 5 YRS...IT WILL BE MY ON HOME AWAY FROM HOME..ITS WILL BE HIGHER THAN RENTING OUT A ROOM..BUT I DONT PLAN ON DEALING WITH THE EXPENSES AND THINGS THAT GO WITH A HOME...I LIKE THE IDEA OF GOING OFF GRIND..THE ONLY WAY YOU WILL FIND ME ON SEE ME...IS IF YOU KNOW ME..OR I KNOW YOU... THANKS..**ONE#1**
When I was building my van I felt like a kid building a fort in the woods so I call my van Fort Mobile.
Ha, That's a good name!
Go for Van Halen .... That one's on me...
How about a name called vanzilla
now you play in a videogame called fortnite
That's so cool!
I gotta say. This is the best or at least a tie with the van build videos. Because it shows us HOW to do it. Not simply just what I have. It's very informative. I'm mean very. My brother is good at construction ..getting a friend to bounce ideas off of was really good. Creating templates with cardboard before you put things in. Great great job.
Thank you!
I just wanna say thank you. I would be in a very tough spot without this video. My lease is up in a little over a month and my roommate is moving to a different city at that point. I had to decide wether to move back to Pennsylvania or live out of a van to be able to afford to stay in the Boulder, CO area. So thank you very much. This information has helped me so much. Let me know if you’re ever in the Boulder area!
You're welcome! Hope everything works out well for you!
I'm totally falling in love with this van lifestyle. It reminds me of boat living but for land.
I'm very impressed with your build and it's hard to impress me. I am a builder/ engineer/ electric engineer/ plumber/ master carpenter etc.
I enjoyed you skill set and your hands on knowledge that lead you to do a excellent build. You are by far the best I have seen out of you-tube.
You should build on the side and sale van's for extra income.........Bless you & your journey through a amazing life
Ahh thank you Anthony!
I agree fully!! You're clear and friendly content is similar to another winner named Andrew Camerata!! Class Acts!
Great video man, i named my van Sophie May after my family dog that past away. She loved to travel, the beach, trails and the water. She would have loved Vanlife.
Growing up, we had a light purplish van and I called her Sheila. She had leather seats and vents and lights everywhere. I miss her. She passed away though in middle School
Dude - van life isn’t my thing but building is and I really enjoyed watching this from start to finish! The thought process was excellent and the final product is amazing! Excellent job sir! Enjoy your new residence!
Thank you! I really love my life!
Can u build my van for me when I get on lol
I also own a 2002 Ford E-150 ClubWagon 4.6 V8. I named her “SpyAv8or”. I am a retired Licensed Private Investigator and Private Pilot, hence the name “SpyAv8or”. Thanks for the video. You gave me some great ideas for my build.
Best work van conversion I've seen. Cozy and clean.
Finally a simple instructive video to build a camper van
Ha, I see ya, Hollow Knight..lol. I really like the immense desk space you gave yourself for work/gaming. It's literally a hotel room on wheels. The amount of detail and personal touches you put in this design is crazy.
The best video I have seen so far in van conversion. The most thorough and thought out and complete rebuild. I give a lot of credit to your loving family and friends for inspiring you. And I can see that some of your Dad's engineering instincts are also a part of you. Good job. I will be playing your video back and forth as I am doing my van. Thank you also for your simple presentation in this video, so that even people like me or my grandma could do this. You will go far, Lord willing.
Ahhh! Thank you so much! After releasing a few more tour videos, I'm going to be doing yet another Build Video on my van again. It'll show the same stuff, but with different details, like dimensions and tools used. Maybe material costs. Just stuff I didn't cover in this video. I'm going to try to be even more detailed!
Agreed!
This is definitely a format Im looking to use in a future build, except Im looking to include a small bathroom/shower and potentially use my camping hammock in lieu of the bed. It always interesting to see how people get so much out of such a limited space.
That Bubbles thing was the coolest thing ever! I would have kept that going...
That was to date the best build I`ve seen. I need this in my life. In Denmark though I will be chased like a villan, or brake ins by crooks who just cant resist the sight of a secret van.
Add graphics to the sides that say something like Joe's septic pumping or Jack's snake farm if it can kill you we grow it.. nobody will come within 300 feet of your van
My van is called the Buttermobile. The previous owner had a sticker of the back calling the Razorcrest with Mando's signet on it.
Mmmmh love to watch still-images. In 1924 they had moving images, but here we are in 2024 still with this.
What an absolute delight!
Definately the Engineers' Son. An Engineering Mind also.
I adore You MacGuyver types!
Hey man. Just commenting to say thanks. This video put me on a "van kick" over a year ago and led to me buying an finishing my own van build. Planning on taking off full time in 1-2yrs once the money is right. Thanks for getting the ball rolling!
Jenny! She’s getting a make over right now, thanks for the descriptive video!
My van is named Tony Vanza. It’s a 1987 Chevy G20. I love my van more than i can put into words.
Just waiting for school to end. Then ill sell my current car, buying a van and building one like yours. Im so excited!
Youve been a great inspiration, you have fitted everything a Young nerd needs in a small space like this. Its awesome
Awesome video truly informative and interesting. I'm a quadriplegic so van-life is not possible but boy it's a dream I'd never get tired of 😉👌👍🤗♿
Amazing....not just a van but a work of art.
Living on a sailboat my self for 5 years already, like your setup.
Phillip Borbon how is quarantine for you and how do you get WiFi
Post some videos of how you live

Damn you’re living the life!
Its not a sail boat its a schooner. 😂 Mallrats 1995.. Iv been waiting years to say or write this 😂 🤣
7:54 i will be using cedar now lol. Didnt know this xD
This is one of the coolest van build I have ever seen due to the prepping and build of the floor. Plus, the thermal properties chart is a nice touch! However, I think that it would make the van feel bigger inside if you paint the walls white. Due to the fact that your van doesn't have a hightop on it.
I’d call my van, Vany the vaney Van. Also cool Van!!
Thanks for bringing us along for the build!
You asked about the names we use for our vans. Mine requires a short story. I was building a Chevy Express van. I wanted a pop-top like I had in my VW Westfalia camper many years back. It's really nice to be able to stand upright in your van, especially getting dressed.
I found a Westie pop-top for sale, and it fit my Chevy Express van with very minor alteration.. When I finished installing the top, I drove the van around for months. Wherever I went, I'd run into some old hippie who drove a VW and recognized the westfalia pop-top. The hippie would have this look on his/her face that said "WTF?" So I bought a couple Westfalia stickers and made some slight mods to them. Now I have stickers in the same place they occupied on the old VW Westies. Except my stickers say "WTFALIA? With that, you can guess the name that stuck! 🚐
Haha! That's awesome
I think that you did a wonderful job building out your van! I’ve never quite seen a layout such as your design.. I love how it looked while you were all warm & cozy inside with your little wood burning stove.
I’ve never seen a van that’s completely covered in plywood like that. It seems you have no windows at all except of course for the driving windows and while looking in it seems your totally surrounded in a tiny wood cabin type of place.. good for you. I dream about someday having a beautiful van/home and traveling around to all the places that I’ve always wanted to go…
Goof for you!! It’s definitely the bomb!!
I'm so jealous of people who can do such amazing work. I hope I can find a good friend taht can help me build my van one day. :) Nice build! congratulations. :)
You can do it. You learn as you go. I'm not a carpenter, but I could build mine with just one hand. (paralised right arm)
It will be fun!
Very cool
I really like your slow but finally arrived with a workable design that fit your own needs. Awesome.
Best👍🙂
All I can say is , when I get my van and I'm ready to build I would love to come and see you
For sure! We can meet up. Add me on FB
Your van is literally simple and straight to the point; everyone else has to be complex. Woodstock 50th Anniversary is coming up in August and I would love to road trip there.
Wicked home Ryan!
Way more complex and spacious then mine. Thanks for the inspiration!
My van is known as the bum bus. I haven’t starred building yet but I get to this weekend
Awesome play play by play video and I love that you make music in your new home.
Great video. 💕 and that woodstove is beautiful. !!!!!💕💕
This is a fantastic build. I love van builds and how people can be creative and practical with what they need and do not need. Awesome finished product. ✌️
This is by far THE BEST van conversion I've seen. My dream in a van! It's been tough finding a similar build but this one does it! Good job!
Best video I’ve seen yet. Thanks dude you’re doing it RIGHT
This is my 3rd video from you I have watched. You're an inspiration and impressive human! Carry on champ 🏆 💪 🙌 😎
I have seen this video a few year ago and now it has pop up.
Thanks a lot for sharing all the process of conversion step by step and your thoughts.
Doing everything in once would be nice but would delay moving into the road.
So, I very like your approach.

Dude this is one of the smartest conversions I have seen!!! What you've created is seriously beautiful! Definitely gonna use this video for reference once I get to do mine🙌🏾
Thank you so much!
I wanted to compliment you BEFORE I finished watching the video. I was very impressed with how you set it all up and the outcome. I must say it's one of my favorite ones so far. I think you should create more builds and leave the music on the back burner :). Thanks!
Yeah, music is just a hobby. I never cared to get money from it. But building vans is something I could get into! Thank you!
imagine if robert plant and jimmy page took that advice. just a couple of guys building vans from 1969 til now. if he's passionate about music he should stick with it.
@contact damn man! Did you definitely set up royalties and money correctly? Have you uploaded your music to the correct website? You could be getting paid tons of money right now with that. My tour video Alone on CZcams here pays me about $1,000 to $2,000 a month. The same could be possible with your top 10 hits
I can’t understand how there are 280 thumbs down on this video. You did a great job both on the van and on the video. Very clear and concise with a lot of good information and ideas. And thankfully none of that weird canned music so many people put on.
I really love this build. The only thing that would bother me is not having any windows- gotta have light.
Put a 2nd fire extinguisher in the back.
Light comes in from the fan up top, so i know it's day if all doors are closed.
If I want a window, I open my front door and look out the front window. It's a large window then
Outdoors Embrace good. Light is important. Again, you did a great job.
What a great JOB!!! I am mid way building my van, her name is Phoebe and she is a Ford 1971 Econoline. I love her so much. TFS
Beautiful. This sort of life is looking more and more appealing.
I've seen a lot of these videos... this is still my absolute favorite build, i'll be taking a lot of this knowledge with me on my build (hopefully soon) thank you for sharing
Yes! Definitely! Thank you for watching!
Thank you for addressing the bad look of the bare led strips. Some one who hides them in their builds.
I drove a van for 15 years and it would blast right thru the deepest snow as long as I kept the 36 gallon fuel tank full, I would even turn doughnuts in it. Nice job on the van.
I was so excited watching your video and learning from it! I watched it 3 times to- soak up some info and then put it in my saved list. I start mine soon and im ever so grateful for your posting this. I too, am going to do this all by myself! I have no other family that could help me and my father's gone too so I know i'm in for a lot of frustration but will try to enjoy the process so I can hit the road and put my old life in the past where it belongs. Wish me luck* again, thank you for posting***
I made this video for people like you! Add me on FB if you have any questions! Good luck!
You have totally inspired me to change my life and live a van life.
Yes! Do it!
Queen Mother -I actually put my 30 days notice in Oct. 2018. I ordered my van which unfortunately won’t be delivered till March 2019. I’m having cold feet to buy a used one. But being a single female, I don’t want to worry about maintenance. Good luck to you!
Good choice on the bed, every Sailor in the Navy sleeps on a bunk 27 inches wide.
Vanessa is in the shop for an electrical issue and my 10 year old son, our dog Honey, and two Tomcats are hitting the road in 2 days! Sold everything and I'm done with rent. Want to meet some cool people and see this beautiful land.

That’s cool what grade are you in
Better study hard, or you will be rolling doobies in a van down by the river. Lol

A tip of the hat to you, and your folks. You applied your brain power and have a great crib to show for it. Apply the same process to your future sailboat when the time comes. I used to work for "The Van Man" in Fayetteville, N.C. building the hippie vans back in 72. and we used those same technique's to tuck and hide corners and seams. Very well done. I'm looking for a 4-wheel drive van to do one last project this winter. Take care

GRIZZLY WOOD STOVE, YESSSSS!!!! Thank you for showing each part of this build! Very familiar elements to what i'm endeavoring myself now.

Dude, we literally have almost the EXACT same build, I have a ford E-350 and the only main difference out vans is my bed slides from couch into bed, blew me away how much out builds are exactly the same 😂. I’m finally almost done with my build and so wish I had seen this before I started. Can totally relate with spending 75% of the time sitting in the van thinking “how in the world am I going to make this work” 😂. Great video man, obliviously love your build, the mood lighting around all the edges is very smart, think I will be doing that as well.
Aaron Simmons you should definitely make a video about your build!
Make a video of it!
Best bed layout! (I’m not 6 ft, but i can imagine how uncomfortable it can be laying side-side length)
Out of all the high dollar builds I have watched, you are a threat. You installed the insulation exactly how I understood the directions but your woodwork is way better than mine, I dont think people want or need ring dings and sparkle when they build their shelves and drawers. You nailed it with its simplicity and perfect clean style. You should continue to do builds, I think you have something to build on, especially if you are $$$$ less. I use a Chinese diesel 5KW heater, I installed a 2.5G cell next to my other tank, the gas cap is next to my regular gas. I run it all day on low in very cold weather, ive been in 5 deg F weather, the inside was 65deg F running it on low. I bought the heater from a friend who owned it for a few years, Ive had it for 2, with yearly maintenance and some consumable parts, I think itll run for years. I dont like or trust chinese product but this little heater is well built for the price, I feel fine running it all day and leaving the van, it just plugs away.
Yeah! I'll get a diesel heater in my next van!
Hell yeah man! Thanks for the kind words! I'm at least going to build more in the future. A bigger van I can stand in, an entire bus that will be my home base in a tiny home community, and a sailboat which is my real dream!
@@OutdoorsEmbrace Did you know its cheaper to dock a boat in San Diego than it is to rent an apt or trailer park? If you have a boat, go check out the PB area.
