    The main benefit I see of heat pump all in ones is their versatility. If you can run this off less electricity off a 15amp circuit then you can use this in an apartment in theory.... Maybe not because of water? idk.
    Or you could theoretically use these in off grid/ tiny home scenarios if you could get the electricity low enough for solar to be efficient. The lower you can get peak amps the easier it will be to run off an inverter and solar set up.

      I did a load on the normal setting today. The previous two were done on the AI setting.
      A normal load was about four hours total. A little over two for wash and a little under two for dry.
      I was at the dryer when it completed the cycle and opened the door. I was surprised at how hot and dry the clothes felt. It was a big improvement from the previous heat pump dryer I used. I will try the "Less" dry setting instead of the "Normal" setting to see if it speeds things up any.

    Thank you for the video. Very helpful! Do you know if it will actually dry items on Air Fluff? I've talked with Samsung and looked in the manual but we're not sure. I've been using the Air/ no heat setting on my traditional dryer for some items and it does eventually dry. Not sure this new technology would do the same. Also very curious if you get the cycle times down... four hours is lot longer than advertised.

    • @mikeferryall1424
      @mikeferryall1424  Před 21 dnem +1

      I'm not sure about a fluff cycle. We don't have anything delicate enough to use that cycle.
      Samsung pushed an update and my time is now below 3.5 hours. I also run the machine in a mode that maximizes energy and water savings at the expense of time. We run it overnight so haven't had an issue with cycle time.
      The update also fixed the setting where you can select a target finish time. Pre-update, it overran the target by hours. Post-update, it beat the target time by 30 minutes!

  • @rsheppydog
    @rsheppydog Před 24 dny +1

    So when you mentioned the delay end, I am under the opinion that that is the time you want the delay start to end and the machine to actually start doing the laundry. So if it takes about 2 hours for your cycle and you would like your clothes to be completed at about 6am set the delay end time to 330 or 4 and then your unit will start doing the laundry then and should complete it for 530 or 6.

    • @mikeferryall1424
      @mikeferryall1424  Před 23 dny +1

      When starting a cycle, it gives you the option to set a target time for the load to be complete.
      When we first got the machine, it would run 2+ hours after the target.
      Samsung pushed an update and now it has been finishing the load ~30 minutes before the target time.
      I would still prefer to set a start time. I don't care when the laundry ends, I just want to start the load when my electricity is the cheapest.

    I just got mine from Costco (for a great price) and have had it for two days. I was NOT prepared for a 4-5 hour load time and am not sure if I want to keep the machine now. Yesterday evening the machine said there was an hour and half drying time left but I paused it and felt the clothes and they seemed pretty darn dry. So I'm not sure if that last hour and half was even needed? For lighter materials, I may just check them after a certain point and pull them out of the machine early. It does make me a little nervous that there really aren't a lot of reviews out there yet since it's so new and it's unknown if there are any bugs or issues after a few months of use. What retailer did you buy this from? Did you get an extended warranty on yours? I got mine direct from Samsung, but they didn't have the Samsung Care extended warranty available on the product listing. Calling support wasn't much help either to see why it wasn't available or if it could be added. Apparently, you can possibly add Samsung Care warranty after you receive delivery, but you need the model and serial number to enroll in a plan.
