This is the best execution interview answer I've ever come across. You deserve so many more subscribers. Rooting for you!
Appreciate all the great content Dianna! Really love the strategic depth and clear frameworks. Would love to see some of these frameworks applied to more complex B2B SaaS products (e.g. measure success for JIRA)
Thanks so much for sharing this! For shops/payments products, how do you see the tradeoff between setting as north star (i) GMV (total value of goods sold on the platform) vs. (ii) number of orders?
This was great, can you also go over product road mapping question? How to prioritize a feature and build a roadmap? What roadmap analytic tools youd use?
Thank you Diana! Could you also do analysis about Facebook Live?
Thank you for the guidance, it’s really valuable!
I have one question regarding the North Star metric: if we know business in the long run will charge a % fee on transaction, why don’t we set the North Star metric as “total dollar value of transactions happening on IG shops”. I would love to know what your thoughts towards this answer?
Just a add on for the Trade off part where can we also add one more reason of why no of items sold would be a better metric to track since orders have the ability to be cancelled/ returned/ not reached and hence the final count of no of orders could be much lesser than the actual order count. Does this make sense?
This is great, please do more ecommerce product
Hey there, great content.
I am not sure how did you come up with the ideas for the strategy part. Can you detail more how was your though process? Thanks
While we were tracking number of items sold as the north star metric, the supporting metrics focus on other actors in the ecosystems such as sellers, content creators, people browsing casually & commenting, instagrams shops.
Are the different "strategies" interchangeable to the "product goals"?
What about total value of items purchases/week or per month, instead of number of items purchases? The former captures the volume of transactions, good for businesses, good for influencers (affiliate marketing) and for Instagram (not sure about buyers though)
It’s great Dianna! Can you call the point “understanding” rather than “understand”? Using a verb like a noun is a bit jarring😅
framework explained is always best ..one video suggestion, a video about growth framework will be great.....also humor is increasing alot day by day 🙃
Can you explain what you mean by growth framework?
Haha, I’m not naturally funny…but I’ll keep trying
@@diannayau growth strategy and its execution
@@diannayau I would want to see a growth strategy Q as well. Something like: how would you 3x Figma users in the next year?
Your videos are really helpful btw, watching them all for my prep!
