This video was well worth the half hour I spent watching it. Definitely saved it to my playlist of recipes.
Thanks for taking the time and sharing this cook. I have never seen a turkey hung in a pellet grill, excellent idea. Going to use your stuffing recipe in a few days. Keep up the great work.

Thanks awesome video. I like the way you mixed the spice into the mayo. I have to try that.
I made the turkey on Halloween and it was the best turkey I have ever had. First time smoking one and it was amazing. Cooked the stuffing also and it turned out amazing. Definitely learning a lot form your channel!
Awesome video Mike. That stuffing looks good. I'm doing this this weekend.

News flash, Weekend Warrior BBQ drowns viewer in his own saliva with outstanding recipe! Just did a spatchcock turkey and the temp stalled at about 155 F. I had to ramp the temp on the Traeger from 275 to 325. Then it finished in 30 minutes. Nice job!
We had Christmas in July this past weekend. While i couldn't hang the turkey in the upper cabinet of my Lockhart, it otherwise turned out great! My mother in law loved the stuffing!! I also did a double smoked ham and a roast from your videos!! Thanks for all the tips!!
Thanks for sharing this wonderful video and I like the idea of using mayonnaise 👍🙏🏼

Thank you, Don! I'm glad you like it :)
Mike, love your Pit boss smoker videos. I was planning to smoke a Turkey breast in my Pit boss vertical yesterday. After watching your video earlier this week, I ordered the Turkey hangers from Amazon. My Turkey breast on the hanger yesterday was out outstanding. Thanks for the smoker tips.
Thanks for letting me know, Matt! And I want to thank you for clicking on my videos. I really appreciate it!
looks good keep up the good work
Thank you, this is great
Mike your creativity keeps getting bigger and better - lots of great tips and ideas! Nicely done!
Thank you, Luis! I am really laser focused right now on putting out content for the community that inspires creativity. Thank you for clicking on my videos! I really appreciate the support 😁
@@WeekendWarriorBBQ absolutely Mike! And I love the way you focus your culinary ideas. I have vast culinary experience and you are on target! Now I’ll tell you it will be nice to put out menus that can also showcase recipes low on sodium. I saw the contents of the Kosmos Q’s brine and lol I can’t do that much sodium. People with high BP like me must maintain a strict level of sodium intake - but don’t get me wrong the turkey looked amazing with K-Q once you cut it - easy to see thru that. But I would love to have a low sodium version - oh yes! Lol!!!! Thanks for the hook info - I got me one on order already ha! Can’t wait to put that bird on my Pit Boss Pro!
that looks great man
Good job Mike!
Mike your recipe and techniques are a GO at this station! Best turkey ever. My family looooooved it! And the Pecan rub was da’bomb! Thanks a lot! I had a lot of fun smoking my turkey with all your steps.
Thank you, Luis! Its all about good food, family/friends, and having fun :)
Thanks Mike . I did everything you said to do on the video. The Turkey turned out awesome. I had Family eating Turkey that didn't really like turkey . Thanks Again and Have a Good Thanksgiving.

Nice looking bird and stuffing Mike
Nice video Mike. The only time my anxiety kicked in was during the mixing in the bowl. I use a huge stainless steel bowl that would hold at least 3 of the one you used. Very easy to swirl and flip and mix. If I was going to cut off the tail and neck skin it would go into the stock pot. I'll make that sausage stuffing this year. Well done!
WOW! Amazing job!
Thank you, Jason!
I smoked one last week and it came out perfect. Decided to smoke another one today!
Well smoked 2nd one with the hangers. It was perfect! Thank you so much for sharing. Just watched your ham video, and that’s next.
Smokey Joe I found out that butter under the skin helps crisp the skin after bringing because brine melts fat so the butter replenishes the fat Pit master tip, but I’m definitely smoking my turkeys this year 👍🏾 and the crab raisins gotta try that like always your videos inspires me to cook I love that brother THANK YOU 😋😋😋
🤤 well done !
Holy cow! Or holy Turkey Batman! That was an amazing video. I watched this at halftime and yes didn't turn back to the game either. Great video and we'll in depth. 👍👍
Raymond, thank you! That was a long video but there was so much good stuff in there :)

Looks great
Well done deafly going to try that
Mike, thank you again for this amazing recipe! I've followed this for my past several turkeys and I now have the honor of smoking the birds for both Thanksgiving and Christmas for my inlaws dinners. Love all the content and how easy it is to covert to my pellet smoker no matter how you are doing it! Hope you and yours have a fantastic Thanksgiving and Go Browns!!
You're welcome! You have a fantastic Thanksgiving as well. I was hoping to play the Bills in 6 feet of snow and give the ball to Chubb every play but it didn't work out... off to Detroit now lol
Mike just in time for Thanksgiving. Got to try it. Just purchased myself a pit boss vertical smoker. Can't wait to smoke some meat.
She’s a beut Clark 😂👍🏻
I really enjoy your channel. Im just starting out and Ive learned a ton from you. Thanks!
Thank you, Andrew. The most important thing is to have fun and learn as you go. If you haven’t seen it already you will enjoy this 5 Mistakes video I put out about a year ago. czcams.com/video/hg62RUHKlkA/video.html
Wow, that Heath Riles Pecan Rub is REALLY good. I have 2 other choices here I could use. This one is definitely the winner. Cant wait to try on the turkey.
It looked great, New Commer.
Guys. I have that same table he's working on. I keep it outside year around and the doors seal tight. Nothing can get in(mice, etc) It's awesome
Ya.... this video is amazing
Mike I love the Pumpkin pie shirt and that Turkey looks fantastic!
Smoked my 19 lb turkey just like this with pan under Meath for drippings was the best turkey even better than frying and the dripping were like heaven almost put the gravy on my pie was the best turkey ice and all my guests have ever had everyone took home leftovers
Omg man. Thanksgiving is over but you have me salivating for that dinner lol!
I smoked a 15lb turkey in a Series 4 and it took 7 hours at 275 degrees to get that bird done to look like yours. Results will very depending on the size of the turkey and smoker used.
Great video thanks!
Great video.
Very nice tutorial going to buy the brine and bucket ty.
Thank you. You will definitely enjoy the brine and the bucket is awesome... they send you a smaller one too for brining chicken wings and that kind of stuff too
Turkey looks fantastic 👍
I like the Pumpkin Pi Hoodie as well.
Thank you! 😁
DAMN good video!! Keep them coming!
Great video!!! Really enjoy your videos!!!
Thank you, Scott! I really enjoy making the videos so it makes me happy that you enjoy watching them!
There is a sausage that is sold out of Bardstown Kentucky called jakes. It’s phenomenal
Beautiful Turkey and stuffing Mike ! Congrats on 25K ! You need to send me some of that ! What a meal !
Thank you very much, Kent! I appreciate that. I would love to spend a day with you and Thyron and learn from you guys! Maybe next year?
Awesome Mike. I'd love to see you do a dry brined Turkey! Great show.
Thank you, Tommy! Hey, great interview the other night!
I'm a weekend warrior myself. I love the whole menu. I'm going to try your brine. The color looked great for smoking. Thank you sir. I'll let you know how it turns out.
Did it last year and it was a hit . This year is going to be the same way
Once again thank you Mike for this awesome recipe, I use every year. Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving and as always Go Browns!!
Happy Thanksgiving and Go Browns. I enjoy seeing you in the comments every year. Cheers
Awesome stuff! I can’t wait to get cooking led by your example! Question... recently bought a Pitboss Vertical Series 3... so do you think the series 3 is heavy duty enough to hang a 12 LB Turkey from with the Turkey hanger? I see you’re using the Series 4 or 5 with this video. Thanks!
The bucket is cool.
Great Video! Personally I would have trimmed the turkey first and used the trimmings in the Stock pot! Looks absolutely Delish! Bravo
Love the hoodie!
Great timing Mike! I'm putting together a list of gadgets to get right now. Gotta include those hangers. I'm gonna follow your lead and try it like this. Seems like a better method particularly rotating the bird for even browning.
If you have a turkey deep fryer you could probably use the part from it.
Drooling already!
Gobble Gobble :)
Perfect! I was just posting about doing a turkey.
Gobble Gobble :)
thats looks good, chief
Thanks for the mayo + dry rub tip
Your welcome
LOVE THE SHIRT! 😁🤣
did the mayo , it browned up perfectly with a good crisp
Great video!!
Thank you, Josh!
I spatchcock my Turkey's and chickens brown the meat and make the stock from the removed back bone. some veggies and and 30 minutes in a pressure cooker.
Pressure cooking it extracts more flavor from the meat bones and veggies.
It also saves energy since pressure cooking is much faster.
I have watched this twice now over the years and I think that the best part is the bird's singing on day one. No offense but I enjoyed it as they're not around here now. Nice bird too.
Ha Ha , When you started coating the bird with the Mayo... You could almost hear in the background Marvin Gaye " Lets Get It On" , and the bird Moaning " Oh yeah Baby, Thats the spot " , Ha Ha Ha
Love the sweatshirt 😅
Turkey is just Turkey (unless overcooked and dry).... BUT. Thanksgiving Stuffing is the ART of the Thanksgiving meal! The Stuffing can Make or Break a really great Thanksgiving meal. Yours looked PERFECT!. (nice move with the Cranraisins) Well Done!
That is a good looking bird.
You’re a laid back, good fellow. Thanks for such a wonderful demonstration. I’m gonna start using Mayo on mine instead of Olive Oil. 👊😄 Thanks again.
Thank you, Allan! I hope you have a safe, healthy, and happy Thanksgiving!
Can I have Thanksgiving dinner with you that turkey looks delicious great cooking
Could you do a cleaning video what you use and how often? LOVE the videos literally just did this turkey today . Thanks for everything!
Hi, Chris. Those videos don’t get many views but I can tell you I do a good cleaning every 10 cooks. I vacuum out the ashes before every cook. My favorite cleaner is the “Oven, Grill & Fryer Cleaner” from Sams Club. It is also available on Amazon.
Wow! The was the first time I made a turkey using this method and it came out incredible. I don't think hanging the turkey made a any difference. Thank you for the the great recipe.
Nice bird!
