This was the best opening statement I've ever heard! Throughout the trial, I guarantee you, wvery juror was remembering Yanetti's opening & be measuring witnesses testimony against it!
They all need to be charged with conspiracy and convicted, sadly not everyone can afford this type of defense, but karen read will be a free woman and very wealthy.
This is a very powerful opening statement. It's almost a closing statement, as well. You can say what you want about Karen. However, all the cops surrounding this case are shady as they come. This has coverup written all over it. And, of course, they have reasonable doubt in spades....

As a mom, I’m so sorry for Officer O’Keefe’s family and their overwhelming losses to their family. His mom should either be asked to rein in her body language or moved to another part of room. Her natural emotional reactions to what she believes happened may cause a mistrial if MA follows same gallery protocol I’ve seen in other trials in other states. I believe Karen is innocent and SHE IS innocent until proven guilty and the family’s reactions should’nt be in the line of sight of the jury.

You can't cover a body in a few inches of snow. What they called a blizzard didn't happen to later in the day. The snow that morning was a regular snow day in the north.

Video showing intact tail light, video cut off at the mccabes as well as the town library when Procter towed her car. Cops not coming out of house when seeing multiple eats, firefighter,police on your front lawn but never comes out to investigate?

Tail light pieces found on the top of snow, even more on top of a shoe print. Also you shouldn't be able to use evidence from a crime scene that was released. Anyone could have walked by and put something there. There was no one watching the crime scene.

It's ludicrous conjecture to think she would hit him with her car and leave him dead in the yard with a house full of people and some of them were cops. She didn't know if they had cameras on their house. She couldn't tell if someone was looking and could have seen her.
Such is why it was clearly an accident. She drove away unaware that she hit him, as indicated by her own surprised reactions " could I have hit him", "did I kill him", etc. She was esimated to have a BAC over .20, so of course she was too drunk to realize it. She blew a .08 at 9am! Then along came the conspiracy theorists providing a way for her to get off scot free, rather than just pleading guilty to an accidental death, so of course her defense team is gonna run with that
