Tyranth has discovered why people still use brass knuckles
It’s way better because the load it takes off your wrist. These are Knucks with a tactical stock
Brass knuckles still hurt your hands, in fact they hurt them more than punching bare knuckle
do people still use those? Every sketchy dude around here has a blade, why settle for inferior stuff
@@marcogenovesi8570 yes but their also not nearly as common. whether that's because their illegal in a lot of places so not really produced or another reason I'm not sure.
though inferior really depends on the user since there's been people who survived numerous stabs from a knife.
while someone like Mike Tyson would potentially be able to make a human skull look like a watermelon. since he had/has a estimated punching force of 1600ft lbs/ 2169 joules. while it only takes 1100ft lbs/ 1491 joules to break a skull
Brass knuckles are more about force concentration.
They add some mass, but for the most part their increased damage is the result of putting the same amount of force into a smaller area.
These are definitely about adding mass, might lower speed and make a minimal impact on force but increases momentum by a lot. Plus there is some force concentration as well.
Man destroys the world: "...I felt nothing." [grins]
I’m amazed with how effective these turned out, you should bring them on a shadiversity test episode just to see Nate and Shad’s heads explode. Especially against a proper shield or armor.
Yeah, I don't think it's getting through a real shield.
He had a big advantage against the round plank of wood because it was flat, a shield's curve gives it structural strength that the plank lacked.
There's also the way it's held. The plank was held by its sides and punched in the middle. Meanwhile a shield is held more or less from the middle and thus is much more sturdy.
@@bolbyballinger but to be fair, even against a real shield its going to rock the balance of the person holding it, its basically a sledgehammer kind of hit, the force alone would be enough to throw off the opponent
@@bolbyballinger it being round or not depends on the type of shield like the viking shield is flat , and held from the middle allows it to pivot if hit hard enough,( they held it like they did for safety reasons ) and while theres no outer ring holding that together i can see these bing effective
😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮
@@bolbyballinger maybe it wont go through..........the person holding the shield is gonna feel that thing smacking into them like a truck.
With each punch you have to say "Knock, Knock!"
I still see a lot of trees mocking you... 😈
He's back and stronger than ever, quite literally.
So ironic... I *just* started a fist weapon playthrough of Fallout 4.
Crazy, I'm doing the same thing but in Elden Ring as Batman
Leaves a big old lion face imprint on the forehead.
Definitely need a crossover episode with Shadiversity for this one! Well done!
Marcus is the man.
I'm glad that Marcus is still around the Shadiversity people
Just goes to show you that a disarmed knight is still incredibly lethal.
I'm sure there are cases in history where someone who has lost their wrapon, has continued to mow down enemies with just his gauntlets.
Tyranth is like a mix between Tony Stark and the Mandalorian! Great stuff man!
I do believe cinder blocks are punched (bare fist) by some martial artists, but you have to be pretty damn good to do it. Without either a large amount of time spent training or some sort of protection for your wrists, like these fists, you're more likely to just break yourself. My taekwondo master can break cinder blocks, for example, but if I were to try I'd likely just kill my own wrist. Probably a few months at least, or more realistically a few years given university, before I can work my way up to cinder blocks.
"I just obliterated that thing, and i felt nothing" -me playing beat saber expert +
God damn Tyranth got mad squabbles, pretty good form especially on sand with such heavy weapons
Didn't think they would work tbh. Was genuinely surprised they managed to break cinder blocks.
I definitely think you had a better idea to show the durability of the gloves and what kind of feedback you'd feel punching towards the end when you started punching the tree, I think you needed a more "solid" analogue to hit to really send the idea of these gauntlets home.
Nice build/test. I feel like you could hammer away all day with them
Hey Tyranth, glad these worked out so well for you and didn't even hurt you in the process. You looked like you had a lot of fun testing those.
It's not a perfect replica of Hercules Gauntlet but good enough😂lol.
you could tear down a concrete wall with those, holy crap
Yeah boiii Tyranth's back! Love this series keep it up man
I'd like to see a follow-up on this against targets that are much sturdier. A lot of the force you were putting out with these gauntlets was dispersed into a target that would then tip over or fly away or break off etc etc. If you punched something that wouldn't move, all that force would be put back into the weapon and subsequently, whatever it's attached to. That would be the real test to see if the design is capable of protecting the wielder from that force. Really neat concept, and I love the idea of this type of fist weapon!
There wouldn't really be a point to that you don't really use any weapon against something that it isn't going to break, testing it in a manner more akin to "real use" is much more informative Thanks for watching hope you enjoyed.
@@ScreenTested Counter-point: it'd be fun to limit test :)
@@buffmclargehuge5870 Well yes it is always fun to break things haha
9:09 That sound make me chill.
I love it! ❤
Stam consumption. Ah. Its a DS2 weapon, gotcha
SEASON 2
WOOOOO
Dammit i love this channel
These fists versus armor would be quite the spectacle
I agree maybe one day I would be able to do that
I imagine a fixed spike Pile Bunker would be pretty deadly against armor. Like a Bec de Corbin version of the Lion Head Caestus
Idea: Win the lottery, buy a house, and revisit this project by smashing a house to smithereens.
Secondary idea: Get a shit-ton of drywall and just charge through, wearing these things.
i have a very important question, if shadiveristy dies does this channel live on or does it die with it.(i hope it survives i dont think i can live without these vids)
I pray that both channels succeed. The team and content is great.
This Channel is all I can Speak for and I dont plan on stopping ATM, however upload frequency might slow down a little as I try to put alot into these Episodes and they take quite alot of time and weekly just isnt really working for me , But thanks for watch man
The song that you use while building your Hercules gloves was 🔥 I could be wrong but I think thats Teddy Swims anyways the Hercules gloves came out great!
We need to get this man a ballistic gell dummy to practice on
You should plant some banana trees in the shadlands, they would be great to test this thing. Also great to test cutting weapons. They grow very fast and, after they produce the bananas, that tree needs to be cut down anyways, so you would soon have a pretty nice amount to test your stuff on
I mean, gladiators used to use something similar to this, but it's so cool seeing them made with today's materials. Awesome vid Tyranth.
This is like having brass knuckles on boxing gloves. Seems like something that would have been created already.
I thought that you would flatten the knocker plates flat. Impressive results.
One of my favorite toys growing up were the bulky Hulk fists and box other kids who also had a pair 😁
Im a VERY BIG Weapons Fanatic and THOSE LOOK AWESOME. !!!! 👊😁
The next day: Shad I can't come into work today because I broke my hands punching concrete.
Lets not rob Tyranth's house....
6:35 i guess that's how one punch man feels when he one hits anything.. sorry been watching that anime so much.. lol
This episode was absolutely awesome. Such simple concept, yet so effective and powerful.
I just saw the video where u first appeared in shadiversity...
Am now convinced that long hair + beard = more attractive
To really test the shock asorption a pretty easy method would be to have punched the concret block along the cross section while it was on the ground. Also can really see how much force can be transferred against a more rigid target. Punching the tree is not terrible, just doesn't really show just what your punches could do.
I do not expect him to have this good form of fighting technique. brudda been trainin
After every test, I was wondering how these weapons would do against a tree. Then you stand next to a downed tree and barely throw a punch at it 😂
i like it. i'm curious as to whether he's ever tackled the idea of making at least one Lego weapon, as a full sized thing. i'm thinking a Ninjago sword, the one Zane uses in the movie, looks like it could be made out of something like a dense hard wood, red oak or a nice thick branch from a burled maple. either works or it could be made out of metal, somehow.
This is Epic! For real, great idea!
He actually knows how to throw punches. I'm surprised for some reason 🤣
Love the content. I hope it continues
That "stuff", the cream-colored plank, is firebrick.
Now one of the coolest fight scene with crossbones vs cap america became also more approvable for me. Damn cool video
nice to see Marcus. He disappeared too quick somewhere else.
Hope you're doing well Marcus, cheers
I've always liked power fist weapons too. Those are basically upgraded armored, and weighted boxing gloves. Other CZcams creators have made pneumatic or hydraulic power fists 40k style. Let's see your take on one of those next!
Very enlightening! I also kind of figured the shockwave up the arm would be painful, and you've proven that's not the case. One other drawback is not being able to grab/hold/pick up anything, imo. I could definitely see using one on my off-hand as a power-punch and maybe even a bit of a shield. Very cool!
Damn this man is cooking wit these god of war vids I might have to come back
Those things look awesome Tyranth. I had a feeling they would work well, the way you made them, as they are like the superplus version of dusters, so even better, without even the pain, because of the gloves. Musical greetings from Belgium, Gunther (singer and lyrics writer of Gabriel Scar)
Screen Tested, Subscriber Approved. 😎
If you get a chance try these things on that car door you tested other weapons on!
Given those punches looked pretty casual I would love to see pro boxer with set of those gloves.
Maybe he could go down the local club and get some of the lads to test them out?
Back at it again with the sick builds. Very cool
Thanks for watching man
Be careful when using a door knocker, it could knock back xD
Can you even imagine what these did to Kratos' face. Good god!
This was really sick!!
Brass Fist? That is Awesome Tyranth!
I was surprised that you didn’t get hurt by it
fyi "cinder blocks" paving blocks etc are basically cement with out gravel that you can see. They use cinders small fragments of non combustible material left over after you burn wood in place of gravel. They are quite strong in compression (the blocks or pavers) but are brittle to impact and break "easy" You can knock holes in cinder blocks with little trim hammers that are 6 or 8 oz. Your fists are working because the lion head has many small impact points allowing you to break through. Not saying they would not really mess someone up if you hit them they would and would do so because of that same reason and you are adding mass to your punches.
Great choice of music around the 3:00 timeline. Gets the vibes going pretty good
That was awesome, you need a pneumatic actuator attached to that ;)
👍👍 Awesome
Awesome
Send a pair to mike tyson and tell him to use them as his gloves in the jake paul fight.
those are sick, i want some lol
those are so awesome
I'm a little late to this, but hear me out. In God of War there are 2 rings (held by magic) on the forearms. Those rings are meant to slam into the front to make a second impact. Don't know how that would work without the magic, but I wanted to put down my thoughts if you ever wanted to revisit these.
Gloves of the Pugilist - Unarmed strikes do 10 additional damage
Shadiversity video idea: how good/destructive are proper mitten gauntlets as a weapon, if you dont have any other backup weapons on you anymore? Could be looking at different scenarios: battlefield (both armoured, vs weapons), duelling (unarmed vs sword etc, hits on the gauntlet obviously dont count so you can parry with them) and so on.
Absolutely loved it! Get to a million subs so you can do a chainsword video!
Of course you got through pine, pine is one of the softest woods out there, try Oak
You know with a few modifications you could turn those into Wargreymon's claws.
Guys I think he weighted his gloves, he's cheating!
Dont tell no one haha
In German These Stones are called "Schalstein " but in Amerika or England they are scarf Stones
Test Clouds buster sword or Sephiroths Masamune next👍
*Msg for CZcams*
Why did it take this long before I was recommended to view this vid ?
I had pressed the bell icon and everything and viewed the last vid some 1 or 2 months ago…
More big fist weapons!
i once made something like that out of a thick metal vase i found in a basement, i broke off the legs, put some cloth in it to fill dead space and then punched an old wooden door resting against a wall... i punched right through, cracking the brick behind it, paint flakes just splintering around... hurt like hell tho because i created that thing in a minute from scrap... in a cave... but i think whats interesting is that the kinetic energy you create with those is kinda different from swinging a weapon like a hammer, instead of relying on the weight, momentum and muscles, this felt more like shoving my body weight concentrated into the punch as primary fuel... maybe like a spear thrust? speed ram... so i wonder what this would do to metal and armor.... car doors? also given that our legs are way more powerfull, what about a full metal boot... high heels are already categorized as weapons in some american court cases i think
"i FELT *NOTHING* "
Season 2 LET'S GOOOOO
be....our.....guest! be our guest put our punches to the test, tie a bandage around your wrists sarie and we'll provide the rest!
May the algorithm bless this video
I had to mute the creepy music to watch the build. I still enjoyed the video. Cheers.
can we make the arcane fists next? the ones that vi use
He did a way better version of some gloves I made to use a tree as a punching bag. Using gorilla tape, sponges, rope and shirts, these gloves are able to absorb the force of me punching large, heavy trees. This helped me lose 20 pounds, so I’m proud to have used them for personal boxing training. These metal reinforced gloves wolf be the next logical step in use as weaponry from that sort of training, being able to train the body to swing heavier weight in the hands.
I would have painted the door knockers to match the alluminum and covered the glove a bit more but otherwise good job!
ACTUAL Startwars fans when Disney the announces the next Starwars 6:20
Didn't see this coming
These gloves are a bit off from the ones in the game. The ones in the game have 3 free floating rings that would add additional impacts. During the punch the rings are driven to the back of the glove and upon impact drive forward for a second impact
Forgive me in advance for this alternate AI generated title: "Tyranth feels nothing as he violently fists objects with his gloves"
In all seriousness though, I kind of wonder what someone in fully plate armor could have done with these items. They seem to have a lot of potential. Another variant could be the Fleshpound's Arms from the game Killing Floor, which are basically metal blender arms.
I probably would have gone with 18ga steel sleeves and a 3/8" steel strike face.
This seems like one of the more intricate things you've made, though someone can probably point me at more of your awesome works.
How's it like to put on? Do you need a squire or is it doable by yourself?
Putting them one isnt too far off putting normal boxing gloves it is alot more tight of a fit , and to be fair the gloves were not a particularly expensive pair.
If you want to check out some of my more complex builds you will find them on my second channel www.youtube.com/@TYRANTH_
