Chest pain: how to distinguish between cardiac and noncardiac causes. Dr.Magesh.T MD( USA) MRCP(UK)
Classic coronary pain--or angina--involves a substernal pressure that commonly begins with exertion and is relieved by rest. However, some patients experience angina in the absence of physical exertion or emotional stress, and not all chest pain that begins after exertion is angina. Atypical chest pain must be differentiated from other types of chest pain, including chest wall pain, pleurisy, gallbladder pain, hiatal hernia, and chest pain associated with anxiety disorders. Careful examination of the chest wall is essential, and abnormal heart sounds can tell you a great deal. Further testing is individualized. An exercise ECG is important in identifying the presence of ischemic heart disease and the amount of myocardium at risk. If the ECG is abnormal at rest, the patient should undergo a thallium stress test or exercise echocardiography. A coronary angiogram is indicated if the exercise test or an ECG during pain show that a lot of live heart muscle is at risk.

To everyone who is saying they are having chest pain: you need to see a doctor as soon as you can. Today is good. Don't do any more exercise or workouts until you get cleared.
It could be something minor, it could be stress and anxiety, or it could be something serious. In any case, you need a medical professional to look at you.

Sometimes I randomly get a certain pain in my left chest. Like I'm just sitting there playing games, the boom, I feel like someone's twisting my rib cage to my heart. When I move it worsen, if I breathe it gets worse. So I'm just here trying to catch a breath and it goes away. And all that processus last for like 5 seconds. It can happen 2-4 times in a day and I have nothing for like 3 month or more. But if you have this like this comment. It's no big deal... I think.

Checked the heart with ultrasound Mri scan enzymes etc , CT scan spirometry flow measurements for lungs, checked the stomach with endoscopy, ultrasound on breast, bone scan full body , autoimmune disorders , checked neurological disorders as well with lumblar punction and other mri imaging on brain and back. All i found till now is gastritis with GERD and asthma coexisting. And syringomyelia that i guess is a random finding. I guess that the source of pain is from the ribs and I just pay attention to symptoms i had for years and negligible health issues that never noticed.

If the chest pains vary, what could that indicate?
I get squeezing/pulling pains in my upper left chest (peck area) often, heaviness every now and then and very sharp/burning pains to the left of my middle chest every few days or so.
I suffer from back problems, Hashimoto’s and GERB. Could they be causing it?
I was also diagnosed with IST last year.
Hope to get some helpful answers!
It has completely taken over my life.

I was diagnosed with GERD that's why I'm having chest pains and I can feel it from my heart. They say GERD will really hurt your heart and your throat because of the gas.

I've been having chest pain and pain in my left side for years ever since I overdosed on energy drinks. Whenever I eat certain foods, it triggers my condition. I've slowly gotten better and I'm able to eat more things cause I had to avoid mainly sugar to avoid triggering chest pain. Now I tend to have issues with salt more than sugar.
I also used to not being able to walk without getting winded, had muscle spasms, numbness, and even testicular pain with my condition. Even after getting my heart X-rayed, the doctor claimed they didn't see anything in my heart and I had my stomach cammed and all they found where a few ulcers and they put me on antiacids.
It just seems like nobody really knows what is wrong with me and I've kind of just learned to live with it, but it's so painful and depressing to think about. After seeing this, I think it might be some form of angina cause the chest pain radiates to my left arm, my pinky finger and the finger next to it, the left side of my neck, the left side of back down to the kidney, my head, and sometimes my left testicle.
Again, this mainly gets triggered by food and I can feel cracks and popping in my left shoulder whenever I try to be physically active. Like my arm is locking up or something.
Is there likely something wrong with my heart that the doctors didn't catch or is this like a nerve issue or something? Even the neurologist didn't find anything and I've kind of lost hope so some direction would be greatly appreciated.

My two heart attacks, felt like a pressure pain. I get a pain that I can't explain, like a tiny hand with claws, is climbing up my throat. No arm, jaw or sharp pain. The pressure felt like, I could just vomit enough, and ide feel better. I was vomiting tiny amounts. I thought I had a stomach bug, without the diarrea and cramps.
I could not explain how I felt, at the time the ambos arrived. I was confused and talking was difficult.
There were lead ups to this, that Dr's paid little attention. Bouts of vomiting, where nausea meds, were of little help, and a low heart rate, around 40.
Cause: unchecked high blood pressure. I have very clean arteries.
If you feel chest pain, go to a Dr, don't mess around.

Several years ago (mid 40's) I had a slowly worsening fluid buildup around my heart. I could literally feel it under my fingers as I pressed my chest. After about a week it got so painful it was hard to breathe. I went to the doctor and was diagnosed with pericarditis. It was brought on by a 48 hr flu I had had a week earlier where fluid leaked into the tissue around my heart. I was put on a saline drip for several hours, given some steroid meds and it went away.
The last few days I have been working very hard, physically, for many hours straight. I got a little dizzy toward the end of the days and it seemed to subside.
Last night I felt a similar sensation...not the same. It feels like I have a bruised heart. Not sharp stabbing pain..just a constant dull throb. I get the sense there is fluid involved again, kind of a bubbling sensation. When I woke this morning it was still there.
I just noticed that coffee alleviated the symptoms a little but I have a rather physical day ahead of me again...so am slightly concerned.
I am going to take ibuprofen and see how that goes.
