- A nice little adventure for the first video in Uganda. From Kampala to Bwondha crushed into a taxi. Met some interesting folk on the way. Travel, hardship, friendship and Neo-colonialism the topic of conversation.
Arrived. A quick walk around the coast of Lake Victoria to meet some fish mongers and local villagers. Who'd have thought this place had a connection to Egypt? Victoria, that doesn't sound very African?
Then into the village to see how the locals live and how they eat.
I join @africanessieF in the village and she showed me how to cook up the catch of the day.
Education is the key to life.
50% of the ad revenue from this video between now and Xmas will be doted to Nicolas and his family.
You have to appreciate his ability to go any where in the world and befriend the locals easily
Love the Kenyan bracelet man. There's always a place in Nairobi for you. Hope you come back soon.
Kenya is home
I hate how we Africans always blame colonialism for our backwardness. It’s really disgusting 🤢 and reeks of laziness on our part.
There is no Lazy African. They walk miles, carry much.
Africa is frontwards, not backwards. God made Eden, devil made cities.
Colonialism just PAUSED African civilizations, Africans built Egypt,babylon,Olmecs,China,etc... without Education, they learned on the fly, connection to the universe gave them wisdom beyond any today.
You sound fooled.
Don't worry my friend it happens everywhere, anyone that feels they aren't getting enough, tend to blame others who have more rather than figure out how to do better.
You very true man.Our leadership is to blame for most of our problems and poverty 😢😢
Colonialism is still alive and kicking
@@Mwomwa yeah mayne 50 years ago
The guy in the van was really hostile...but you kept your composure.👍
if we Africans all know how deep the White West screwed and screwing and continue plotting to screw us, merely for money they use to consume more and more.. "the guy in the van" would be considered very nice when explaining what we are going through for the last 5 centuries.
I really felt for Nicholas, very educated man just life dealt him the wrong hand. Hopefully someone is able to sponsor his kids fees
Yeah, maybe there is a kind and honest man out there who will sponsor the kids of Nicholas.
"this is what travelling is all about" - nail on the head there mate
5000 Uganda shillings is £1 😮, lake lolwe/Nyanza was renamed to Victoria by the missionaries and they did not discover, the locals were there and had a name for it.
After watching you in Kenya and now Uganda, I can confidently say that Joshua is a CIA spy😅
This video was an absolute treasure...

The bukusu circumcision is not as common, most go to the hospital but it a wonderful event.

The story of how richard burton and speke found the source of the Nile in it self is an interesting story, how Speke betrayed Burton
Yeah I’m tempted to do a full video about that. Very cool story, two interesting characters. Richard Burton in particular is a fascinating man.
@@GoingGlobull you should bro, there isn’t much content out there about burton and his extraordinary life

Get your head out the gutter 😂
@@GoingGlobull 🤣🤣🤣
You already left Kenya?
For now …
the guy is right you are looking at it from one perspective, a very interesting conversation but the guy was too sharp in terms political matters.
The conversation was about politics and when he couldn’t make his point and contradicted himself he said I was only speaking about the political viewpoints.
One contradiction was claiming west powers needed Uganda and Uganda doesn’t need them. Then bemoaning aid not being given by western powers whilst simultaneously complaining that the west had never left Uganda alone.
I agree with him on the issue we were discussing just highlighting his own contradictions.
There were also many social and economic benefits of colonialism, particularly in Uganda. We just never continued the conversation for long enough.
That guy in the van spoke facts. They need us! not the other way. England and France have a terrible history
I’d have to disagree about the horrible history. Elements of it yes, but history is more complicated than good and bad. Proudly British although it gets more difficult by the day with our current leaders
@GoingGlobull I was referring to the treatment towards Africans as historically terrible. I agree that the current British government has failed its people.
@@BigEast302 yeah I thought so and that’s definitely true but not for all. For example ‘collaborators’ which many were or those saved by the navy from slavery after they started policing the seas and the British pressured many countries to stop slavery.
Minute 28:52 is just a fancy way of cheating on your wife....😂😂😂😂...
I’d rather not 🙅🏻♂️
i wish you could take donations for him and give, from viewers
Check African essies channel. You can contact her via WhatsApp and she can arrange donation
12,000 UG Shillings is only 400 Kenyan Shillings
Honestly I don’t know
hello?
Is it me you're looking for?
Because I wonder where you are and I wonder what you do …
Is video title a joke?
Did you watch the video?
The colonisers convinced us that we are poor Africans. To me they're living a sustainable, non pollutant lifestyle. Development and industrialization brings with it a lot of pollution
That’s fair enough. Personally I’d prefer to be on a mattress at night, a toilet to sit on, running water and have my kids in some form of education to give them at least the opportunity to live differently. I like modern comforts and technology.
I don’t think colonisers need to convince people that life like that is more comfortable. It’s plain to the naked eye. That’s not to say some people prefer living traditionally im the village though
@@GoingGlobull the victim mentality made majority of africans be on comfort zone yet everything is readily available !! i love your open mind bro
The powers that be like to convince people that colonialism is still to blame just so that they can eat the country's resources
The bukusu circumcision is not as common, most go to the hospital but it a wonderful event.
Rather you than me mate I’d take the hall
Pass prize though 😂
