I've just subscribed, Melany brought me here ... I'm excited to pour through your videos as I'm thinking about trying out the expat life myself. Maybe I'll even ask questions along the way :) Thanks for these wonderful videos!
Awesome video about your initial time in Turkey. I’m sure you’ll keep up with your spending and let us know how it compares to other places you’ve been.
In your opinion, what's d main reason d cost of living in Turkey soars up to 70%. Malaysia is beginning to see d increase of prices in many basic items. How about in d USA, any difference?
For us, because of the exchange rate with the US dollar, Turkey is slightly cheaper than Malaysia, but not much. I don't know much about economics or why inflation is so high here, but as long as the exchange rate increases with inflation then we are okay. But the inflation causes difficulty for the citizens of the country.
You had shared a map of all the flight routes from Antalya in the video. Where can I find a similar map online? It looks like a good way to brainstorm destinations! 🌎
Yes living 1-3 months off-season, it would be ideal place. Longer-term (6-12months) maybe a smaller closeby town or village accessible by bicycle or Ebike. 😘
Great video Ryan. It looks like a beautiful place. I can understand your feelings about the touristy vibe. It can be a bit of a turn off. I always appreciate your honesty regarding the destinations you visit.

I couldn't consider Turkey as a place to live. There are a lot of good points but with the volatile economy and instability of the region, I would have to mark it off our list.
Thank you.. actually we didn't like Antalya because the deepness of the city have nothing interesting... Antalya more artificial city... good for visit but not for life
There is no enough green places, look quite desert, and it's not open minded country, like western countries. I can't even consider of a place to live on it, maybe good for 1 week holidays but not more.
Our experience here has been different from what you have described, but we also know that everyone has different preferences and Turkey won't appeal to everyone. Thanks for watching our video.
@@snailtravelers well I describe my points, it's clear outside the city it's not green but yeah, California be like weather, that's true...and of course human rights are not at the same level of Western countries, I will choose Greece near there, anyway yes like travel hub l, Turkey its good located of course. Of course they care about Tourists but I'm talking different things Good look for the search
I never got tired of Antalya.
Yes, Antalya is a great city.

Hi Connie. The website is flightconnections.com. It a great site for planning flights.
Seems like a good place to stay for a couple of months!
Yes indeed! Thanks for watching.
Yes living 1-3 months off-season, it would be ideal place.
Longer-term (6-12months) maybe a smaller closeby town or village accessible by bicycle or Ebike. 😘
That sounds perfect, living in a smaller town without the hustle and bustle, but having a bigger city nearby with access to conveniences.
THANK YOU !

You guys should travel to Laos and stay there is much a nicer retirement place
We visited Laos in 2020 and really enjoyed our time there. We especially liked Luang Prabang and Vang Vieng. We hope to go back to visit again.

Fair enough.
Economy is volatile but Turkiye can not be called unstable.
👍👍👍
It’s too much of a desert, I grew up in Palm Springs I know, you know what I’m mean.
As always I enjoy your videos. thanks.
Yes, everyone has different weather preferences. Thanks for watching our video.
I also grew up the the hellish Cochella Valley , never knew you had a beautiful coast there now !! Duh ..!..
How about delicious sushi?
Ha ha! You must have watched our previous video. We've seen a few sushi places but haven't been to any of them.

I have been in Greece, seen most of it, Antalya is more green than any place in Greece, you have absolute prejudice.
@@oguzb.7033 i saw the video and the country itself and there is many other reasons I dismiss this country beside green or not green
@@CadStr So you did not see Antalya, you saw some part of Turkiye which is very big and varied country and making prejudices.
