The section at 18:17 is so difficult. Running through the woods without getting madness, is so difficult. With those assholes who are following you the entire time, and they're so fast, and if they grab you, it's basically an insta-kill. I just lost 160,000 souls in the stupidest way. I beat the entire DLC before I even knew the frenzied flame was in the game.

Assassin's Gambit - the 2h dude in Volcano manor or possibly his bell bearings gives the ashe of war Assassin's Gambit . You can be quite invisible to enemies. I like to put it on Misericorde or dagger for low weight and crit damage. Even mid way fighting you could easily be kiting... but then they lose eye sight on you anyway .. so thats another crit . The duration isn't lost in combat but need to re do it every 30 seconds For the price of 2 weight and a dew talisman or physic or seal (+1.5 weight) with bestial viatility (12 faith), you get crits and invis.

na its your own choice wether you want to enter i love the place love the challenge i was never a shield person but that place gave me no choice but to start using a parry shield and im the type of player that likes to kill everything on my way to everywhere lol

The Abyssal Woods is pretty much the Bloodborne area of the game. They should have had those lantern guys sing... missed opportunity.
Huge Tip: use the Crepus’s Vial talisman and it’s really easy to get through. And if you must you can combine it with unseen form.
If anyone’s struggling with the guys chasing you put on the Crepus’s talisman and if they do see you run away and quit out and reload the game.

You can invade Moore dane and Needle knight pretty much before the last boss room. Killing them will give you his armor
