Had a manual e39 530i for 13 years. It was my M5. I loved just getting into it - each and every time. It was a joy to drive. I'm glad I had that time. I'm biased but it is still for me the most beautiful looking car!
I just picked up my 2003 M5 with 96K miles from the shop where I take it as the radiator was cracked. The owner of the place has a 2002 with over 200K miles and has daily drove it for over 10 years and told me hope you never sell this as they are so rare and getting harder and harder to find in great shape as mine is.

I saw a blue water e46 m3 many years ago. Beautiful color
Similar but different. I have the same 2002 m5 in Bluewater with black interior. Bluewater is far more rare than Silverstone. Silverstone is the very common BMW color across the platforms.
There was a beautiful E39 530d in Bluewater Metallic in my street. Love this color so much !

I had a chance to buy one of these 6 S1 back in 2014 for $25k. Somebody got to it and bought it 1 hr before I did.
The 1 of 6 refers to the color combination of Bluewater over Caramel. There are a few hundred Dinan S1's running around.

Hello, I am from Portugal, and in Europe we have the e39 with engine diesel. My e39 touring from 2001, have the M57d engine is a 6 cilindres in line, 2993 cm³ , with 193 hp and 410 nm of torque. I make a stage 1 remap, and now she have 231 hp and 580 nm torque, only with remap, I d'ont change anything. It's very fine to drive, because at 1900 rpm i have full torque.

The technicians from BMW engineering say that's the best chassis ever made is the e39, and after the e30. I am from Europe and a have a 2001 e39 touring with diesel engine.

That blue water color is something else man. Damnnnnn. Maybe im a psycho but not really digging the carmel interior with the wood shifter and ebrake. Sorry not my type. I wud have gone gaga if it just had blk interior.
agree, really only cool because of rarity, but you realize why it wasn't very popular... if being totally objective. cool in it's own way, but I wouldn't say it fits the personality of the vehicle, hence why the black/silvers etc were more popular in my opinion

Spent a good weekend of pains taking,tedious work removing that plastic on the floor that was put on by the dealer and not removed. The sun eventually baked the plastic COMPLETELY into the carpet.
