    First half of the video is Mark Renshaw, then Lefevere comes in at about 2:30. No thanks to Lefevere for leaving Cav off the Tour team in 2022, the year after he'd tied the record. He could have broken the record in 2022 if he'd had the opportunity. Glad he got it done today so that he can silence all the naysayers.

      Instead Lefevre went with Jakobsen.
      Jakobsen was quite fast, but always lost Position.

    This years race has summed up Mark’s career with iIllness, people doubting and writing him off, then shows them all he’s the goat sprinter.

    Cav #35 is so awesome‼️ Mark Renshaw was one of the greatest lead out riders ever. Lefevere is eating HUMBLE PIE right now 🤣🤣

    It's crazy how he wrote him off in 2022. The British National Champion, one of the best sprinters on God's green earth, didn't get a place in Patrick's team. Knight of the realm, Sir Cav just proved the biggest mouth in cycling since Oleg Tinkoff wrong.

    Rrrrriiiiiight. He's kicking himself right about now. Everybody else saw that he had 35 in him, why didn't Lefevere? I think he was just being dirty.

    Agree with Renshaw and wouldn’t bet against Cav getting another stage. Phillipsen couldn’t come round him and getting a win under your belt often brings more

    Lefervre on one hand was torn between making a decision to sign Cavendish again for money he didnt have and sign younger sprinters.. i remember his saying his heart said yes and head said no. Im sure hes really happy for Mark.. its all Astanas show ..

    Lets not forget that its thanks to Patrick that Cav was able to win stage 31, 32, 33 and 34. Without him, Cav would've retired 3 or 4years go after his last season at Bahrain. PATRICK was the only one that still believed in him and gave him another chance.

    Could never understand why Lefev threw away the opportunity to have his team’s shirt forever in historic pictures. Ego overtook business sense. So glad Cav paid him back.

      His loyalty to Jacobsen who nearly lost his life in a Soudal Quickstep shirt was more prominent than his loyalty to a rider who was given a second chance a year earlier

      I'm not a Lefevre fan but he's one of the few who offered him a contract when Cavendish thought he had finished what he thought was his last ever race when he rode for Bahrein at Gent - Wevelgem in 2020.

    No sprinter will get ever close to the record but maybe Pogacar in the future could overtake it, but who knows

      I thought he spoke well here. He said, as they didn’t have a sprinter they were a bit divided between Fabio and Mark. That shows they were supporting they former riders.
