    Noice!! I run the ESR SR07 wheels.

      @supermodel773  Před 7 lety

      Good choice, I almost choose those ones as well! I went with the Work reps though because I like the concave style!

  • @supermodel773
    @supermodel773  Před 6 lety

    We didn't have to roll the fenders they fit perfect with the stock suspension. If you wanted to go lower you would need to modify the fender though. Depending on how low you want to go.

    @JamesLikesDonuts Před 6 lety +2

    Finally a Z that's on stock suspension! I've been looking at a lot of Z wheel/tire setups and most are already low so it's been hard to decide what I want. Btw did you need to roll your fenders? I'm getting the same wheel size but the SR05. I'm still not sure about what tire size I want since I want to lower the back a little so the whole car is parallel to the ground.

    • @supermodel773
      @supermodel773  Před 6 lety

      Sorry i have not been able to reply directly to comments. We did not have to do anything with the fenders. We still have a little room, if we lowered it we may need to modify the fender but it would be a couple on inches before then.

    Looks so much better! Do you have brembos? If not do you think this setup could clear the brembos?

    • @supermodel773
      @supermodel773  Před 6 lety

      Tyler Lesko thank you, he does not have brembos. He said they may fit, but might want to do some further research just to confirm. Cause he could be wrong.

  • @carlosgomez8663
    @carlosgomez8663 Před 3 lety

    Did you have to roll the fenders to fit those tires?

    So I have a important question. I recently upgraded to 225/35/20 and 275/35/20 and I feel like my z is sluggish also if I punch it in first with Tcs off I get no wheel spin which before the swap I did. Hoping to get a setup like what you got here so do you feel any noticeable power difference for acceleration or top end from the rim and tire swap?

  • @johnnyj7399
    @johnnyj7399 Před 6 lety +1

    how are the 35 sidewalls I hear they suck for comfort and will bend a wheel over the littlest pot holes?

    • @supermodel773
      @supermodel773  Před 5 lety

      We have been driving it for over a year and have had no issues. We actually feel the ride is better due to the better quality of tire.

  • @justinasiegbu429
    @justinasiegbu429 Před 7 lety +1

    does the car have to have that tire setup for the wheels to have that spaced out look passed the fender? also did you have to change anything bolts or nuts wise? im loooking into new wheels for the 06 350z i have and want these esrs.

    • @supermodel773
      @supermodel773  Před 7 lety +1

      yes this combo is best for this look you could use spacers on narrower wheels to fake the look but why do that haha their are a lot of wheel sizes that could work but this is the most popular size for the 350z from the research i had done. you do need to upgrade your factory lug nuts to tuner lugs, you can find them online or any of your local tire places should have them.

    • @justinasiegbu429
      @justinasiegbu429 Před 7 lety

      ok im going to buy that exact wheel size but what about the tire size, does it have to be that big?

    • @supermodel773
      @supermodel773  Před 7 lety

      +Michael Asiegbu you don't have to go that big. Are you riding stock suspension? if not, you could do a smaller tire. We did not want to stretch the tire and we had enough room to fit the meatier tire in there with stock suspension.

      @xanderfloat there are a couple in this video. They are listed in the description. :)

  • @tylerlesko5895
    @tylerlesko5895 Před 6 lety +1

    Do you think i would be fine with the same setup but a 40 aspect ratio instead of 35? It would be about an inch taller front and rear

    • @supermodel773
      @supermodel773  Před 6 lety

      Tyler Lesko I think if you run 40 you may run into issues with your traction control system and or vdc (if applicable on your z) as I remember researching, 35 is your best bet going with these tire sizes

    • @tylerlesko5895
      @tylerlesko5895 Před 6 lety +2

      Team SHIFT i was doing research on that and 40s are closer to oem od spec

    • @supermodel773
      @supermodel773  Před 6 lety +2

      Tyler Lesko it is closer to OEM. However, it is over. I believe you want to be as close to OEM without going over.

    • @tylerlesko5895
      @tylerlesko5895 Před 6 lety +1

      Team SHIFT you dont have any issues with vdc or anything like that? How about the speedometer/odometer readings?

    • @supermodel773
      @supermodel773  Před 6 lety +2

      Tyler Lesko no issues with vdc, slightly off of speedometer. More noticeable at higher speeds. When I'm showing 68 I know I'm going 65. Not noticing anything on the odometer. Very little effect to them.

    Nice video. So the blue 350z is yours and the white one is hers? also are they both manual or automatic?

    • @supermodel773
      @supermodel773  Před 7 lety

      correct, and both are manuals. We actually chose the name teamSHIFT because all our cars are manuals.

    • @johnconnor7501
      @johnconnor7501 Před 7 lety

      Team SHIFT sweet! I got an s2k mostly stock with an f22c and ap1 ECU, ap1 flywheel, oem hardtop, removed softtop and added club racer rear brase and cover. It would be great if u guys could do more stuff to the s2k or just do driving videos. What mods do u have in your s2k? What mods does niki have in her 350z?

    • @supermodel773
      @supermodel773  Před 7 lety

      +John Connor nice, what year and color s2k do you have?
      absolutely thanks for the feedback we will work on that.
      S2k mods- MagnaFlow exhaust, DC SPORTS intake, K sports coil overs, enkei RPF1s, Mugan rep hardtop
      350z- straight pipe exhaust, DC sport intake.

    • @johnconnor7501

      Team SHIFT Berlina black 2001. I had to swap another engine in because the original was leaking oil and I got rod knock. These high reving engines can't withstand ANY oil starvation. that's why I got nervous on your previous video U had fancy oil bolt, it's convenient but I would put oem bolt back.
      I spent almost all my money on the aesthetics of the car, like oem red seats, red door panels, ap2 center console, 2012 civic si shift knob, ap2 front bumper and trunk "wing", oem red carpet, ap2 leather center console, basically the best of both gens into one.

    • @supermodel773
      @supermodel773  Před 7 lety

      +John Connor nice, it sound like you have really made it your own. that is awesome. yeah, we have to check the oil everytime we drive and top it off cause it does burn a little when vtec kicks in. We are lucky it doesn't leak though and the valve us pretty strong, has not given in on us yet!

  • @Blaklat
    @Blaklat Před 6 lety

    If you were to put the stock lug nuts would it work?

    • @supermodel773
      @supermodel773  Před 6 lety

      Blaklat no, you will want the right lug that matches those wheels. This way they sit properly when tightened. Tuner lugs

    • @Blaklat
      @Blaklat Před 5 lety

      Team SHIFT thank you so much , also when you go fast over a bump or some does it rub ?

    • @supermodel773
      @supermodel773  Před 5 lety

      We have experienced no rubbing at all. We usually take it slow, but even if we experience a sudden bump. We had had no rubbing.
