350z Exhaust Leak!!

Locating and Fixing the Exhaust leak on the 350z Turned out to be a pretty easy fix. We lost a couple of nuts and a bolt on the passenger side test pipe where it connects to the header. We were able to fix the leak by finding some similar nuts and bolts to replace the missing hardware that backed out. So I have a important question. I recently upgraded to 225/35/20 and 275/35/20 and I feel like my z is sluggish also if I punch it in first with Tcs off I get no wheel spin which before the swap I did. Hoping to get a setup like what you got here so do you feel any noticeable power difference for acceleration or top end from the rim and tire swap?

Understandable. We used a good 3M around the full spoiler, and prepped it well before application to ensure it stuck on. We also don't drive fast very often so just daily driving has worked perfect for us. It may be best to have reinforcement if you plan to put it under more pressure.
Tip for people watching. Do not use a plastic pry bar to lift things off the body. Use nylon fishing line and a sawing motion to cut the double sided tape holding the part in place.

No, it has actually held on really well. We had the 3M and sealed around the whole spoiler to ensure water stayed out. That also helps the I integrity of the 3M stay on longer. Also not pulling on it will help it stay longer.

Hey so I got a 350z as my first car and am debating getting these isr blast pipes or the isr single exit get, these are cheaper but the single exit in another CZcams video said it gives the car more power in lower gears so I was wondering if you felt better performance than the stock exhaust?
@Albert Castillo I do not see much increase in performance. It will be more light weight than a stock exhaust. However, I'm not too sure if it actually has much power gain. If so, it may be minimal. I like the look of the blast pipes on the Z though. Not too fond of the sound now though.

Did u plasti dip the tires too!....how does that work.
Yes, we did the rims as well. The Plasti dip applies the same way. You can do the wheels on the car or off. If you spray them while they are on be sure the cover the rotor and caliper. You can mask the tires with tape or other items. Because we did black we didnt mask the tire. We just sprayed over it. You can peel it off after if you want.
I just put 1320 test pipes on my 08 g35 and I'm hearing this constant hissing rasp noise when I'm accelerating I heard test pipes make noise but is this normal
We are not professional mechanics - from experience I would just check to ensure your bolts are tight and no gaps in the connections. Also check for splits in welds or holes that could have been caused by rubbing.

Ours is a 03 and it fits. It was not perfect in all places, but it fit for the most part.

I had the magnaflow but mine was pretty damn loud and I still had the cat and resonator in. The thing I didn't like about the magnaflow was that welds weren't great and the mufflers and tips were ugly. Exhausts don't make much power on this car anyway and I'm not looking to spend much money for sound. I'd rather dump money into stuff for my motor to make more power

Blaklat no, you will want the right lug that matches those wheels. This way they sit properly when tightened. Tuner lugs

We have experienced no rubbing at all. We usually take it slow, but even if we experience a sudden bump. We had had no rubbing.
You can get it easier by moving the hood stand stick to the right of the car lifting the hood higher. Every S2k can do this.

nice teamwork guys ;) seems like your hatch struts are bit to weak, but you may don't have to replace them, just remove the trunk weight (you already removed the plastic above it a bit), just a tip from a fellow 350z rider
Carvin thank you, and yeah they were shot. We have recently replaced them and they work perfectly. Still a heavy trunk so weight reduction would be helpful!
