This was the greatest game i've ever seen. It's a shame Alan Gordon left the team and JOINED Los Angeles. He was so clutch for us too.

Don't compare it to European leagues since the mls has been around for 20 years but it has rapidly grown and a great number of people attend matches from Seattle, Portland, or to watch the California Clasico

I remember watching this on tv. The announcers didn't talk enough about being a man down. It was an amazing game with a huge crowd. Dan Dibley was on the mic and did a great job sharing the excitement!

See? This is what football/soccer is all about. The emotion, the atmosphere, the sights and sounds. Who cares if it's "just" a friendly, or if it's a game that doesn't matter. I don't get why some "hardcore" fans seem to only get enthusiastic about tournament finals and cups. I enjoy it when my team wins, shiny trophy or not!

Biken Maharjan also depends on the game being played in this case it's one of the best rivalries they have along with seattle sounders vs portland timbers and vancouver whitecaps. but indeed the atmosphere is great when the fans are up for it

Never gets old watching this. One of the greatest MLS teams (2x champs and 3x conference champs) up 2-0 in perhaps second biggest rivalry of the day. And usually underdog Quakes come back with 2 stoppage time goals after a red card. In front of packed house at Stanford (played in very small stadium otherwise then).
Yeah you're right. There was a study done that soccer is the biggest sport for people ages 12-24.

Even though our season has been quite awful, I think this makes up for it and defines what the earthquakes are all about. I was at this game and when that final goal was scored, there was definitely an earthquake. We celebrated like we won the freaking World Cup hahaha
What I loved about the Gordon's game winning goal was watching the security, grounds crew, the people in the military, or anybody in the stadium, whether it they were there to work or not, going crazy with the us, the fans.

Yeah man, it was totally awesome and an absolute pleasure to watch. Like I said, I'm not a supporter of either team, but so what? It was great soccer, and games like that will only further our reputation in the rest of the world. It was a great game to watch, and a game that should make any supporter of the MLS proud.

It is the San Jose MLS feed fed to NBC. The commentators are homers which is allowed via feed. Mark Fallowill is our homer for FC Dallas broadcasts on TXA 21.

As a Galaxy fan this pains me greatly, but it is absolutely INSANE how many times the Quakes have won and even scored multiple goals in stoppage time. It happens almost every game.
