My $400 UPSCALE Nimman Chiang Mai Condo Tour in The Nimmana | Cost of Living Chiang Mai

Check out our $400 Chiang Mai condo at The Nimmana. We struggled to find an affordable month to month Chiang Mai apartment for rent when we first arrived. As fate would have it, my friend (that I met back in Bali) was planning on doing an extended visa run at the same time so we were able to sublet her Chiang Mai Nimman apartment!
I loved all the amenities provide in this Chiang Mai luxury condo complex including a swimming pool, gym, sauna, and 24/7 security guards. It's located in the heart of Nimman --- Soi 6 to be exact. But because of that, we were in direct path of the airplanes landing and taking off so it could be a bit noisy at times.

Thanks for the kind words! I will not be in Chiang Mai for burning season this year. I stayed through it last year, but I won't be doing that again.
How long do you plan to stay in Chiang Mai?

Currently it is quite dizzy with little to no sun in CM, it gives a bit a depressing atmosphere. I am not sure if this besides the clouds has also to do with pollution. The IQair quality still shows only a 'moderate' pollution (like most of Thailand now), but on the upper end of this category. Pollution this period is reported to have started earlier then expected.

Do the airplanes also disturb you during the night? I was surprised yesterday evening when walking (first time) in Nimman to hear such big sound in the sky.

They do now that the airport is 24/7. Before they didn't have any flights between midnight and 6am. So there was at least 6 hours of relief. But back on Nov 1, 2023 they opened the airport up to 24 hours so now there isn't much relief from the airplane noise if you're in Nimman.

Funny to me that they have a sauna….the entire country is a sauna ! Ha
