  • Keyon Dooling was a local star as an ammeter in Ft Lauderdale Florida. He was rising up the ranks as a high school star, but was also holding a dark secret inside of a traumatic experience he had as a youth. He chose to attend Missouri as his college choice, and it turned out to be a great decision that led to him only needing 2 years before he became the 10th overall pick in the draft. At that point reality of the position and skillset he built himself into didn't give him the same advantages as before and left him as a tweener stuck between positions. He was still able to play 12 seasons in the league and had a solid career, until it was abruptly ended. Find out why, and 3 reasons I think Keyon Dooling's Growth Was Stunted, and how he ended up in a mental institution.

I had never cared for him at all til he came to Boston and started doing media appearances. You could tell immediately, this guy is a straight pro. The way he expresses his thoughts, the way he carries himself. I remember the first time he admitted to being abused, he dropped it like so casually and out of nowhere. And all you can say to yourself, that guy is A MAN.

Another great video!! Dooling was very athletic and a tweener. Imagine him in today’s league. From he was simply playing in the wrong era. His life obstacles is a testament to go seek help and man those are big shoes he is wearing. To come out and say it and make it known is hard but someone like him as a professional athlete is 100 times harder. Glad to see his positive impact and that his light continues on. What an example of a great turnaround.

You know, I've been watching videos from a guy named F.D. Signifier. He has essays about a number of topics, and a lot of them are related to the upbringing of black boys and the commodification and exploitation of black athletes and now everytime I watch one of your videos, it reminds me a lot of the ideas and thoughts that he usually talks about.
