- Belgian commemorative band. Leen, Linda, Leslie, Fred and Luke started the project as a 'one time' entertainment act in their re-enactment and collectors club. Soon they were asked by other clubs and organisations. Now, only one year later, they are the number one commemoritive band in Belgium with regular 'gigs' all over the country. This is their first video.

A nice clean song❤❤❤
Just awesome! Wish all Americans could feel this way!
Love this song. God bless ALL the soldiers that served in that Terrible war from ALL the Allied countries.
Let peace come again to this world. Happy Days please come again soon i Pray.
😊😊😊😊😊😊
Happy days are here again
The skies above are clear again
So let's sing a song of cheer again
Happy days are here again
All together shout it now
There's no one
Who can doubt it now
So let's tell the world about it now
Happy days are here again
Your cares and troubles are gone
There'll be no more from now on
Happy days are here again
The skies above are clear again
So let's sing a song of cheer again
Happy times, happy nights
Happy days are here again
Itt a Szabad Európa Rádió!
This is Radio Free Europe, Radio Liberty!
I think I've watched this 15 times this evening and have sent it in a couple of emails. This video is extremely entertaining. It has a rather surrealistic quality about it. The imagery is hilarious and bigger than life. Yet there is obviously a serious undertone to the theme as the song celebrates the liberation of the world from war. The MacArthur like lead singer steals the show, in my opinion. I sent the video link to a Filipino friend and included a picture and brief article of MacArthur's return to the islands.
This was sung by Filipino-American soldier during the liberation after defeating Japan
Wonderful ! So uplifting and so well done. Let's hope those happy days come back soon ❤
When I saw the Nashorn tank crash at Militracks. Awh, the look on the faces of the Reenactors, the Army Engineer Corps and the Overloon Museum staff. Priceless.
Love the MacArthur lookalike!
"THIS IS RADIO FREE EUROPE!!!"
Forgószínpad :)
Tévedsz, a SZER ugyanezt a Billy Vaughn-nal játszotta a Forgószínpad szignáljaként, hallgasd meg.
As far as I knew it back then all you needed was a revolver😂
And the radio station. And my previous comment when I said I love beaver 🦫 that means pussy cats AYE MAETTY
My dad was in the 8th air corp for 3 years..This made my day..I was celebrating a Taco Bell coming near my house in Bangkok when I searched this
Oh JOY.
It's lovely song. With lovely music .
Merci
Gyerekkoromban ez órási hatással volt rám mikor halottam mostoha nagyapám szobájából, bár nem tudtam megmondani mi volt az oka!!! Fura mindenesetre!!
Is this hungarian mate ?
Oddly enough I came here from All the Way, loved the song they played at the very end when LBJ was celebrating at his ranch so I decided to look it up
Same LoL, although it isn't the same, since the 'All The Way' version had more people sing it.
@@NewDealChiefold comment I know but I think the one from all the Way is by Mitch Miller and Gang
Thank you so much for the video. The Greatest Generation still lives on in song thanks to your efforts.
Great song! This music was part of FDR’s campaign, the best president in American history
Millionaire lottery winner song!!!!!!!!
You can't keep an old dog down!! Go Luke, go!
Outstanding!
looks like it's been 7 years since this has been posted, but just had to say that this particular upload made made my bummer day "Happy Again". THANKS
Love it!
Love this 😊
All of my love to the USO 😍 ESPECIALLY THE UNDERWATER WORLD HAHAHA 🤣
NAVY SEALED WITH A KISS 💋😘 SHE'S A WINNER
This is the best version I've ever heard. One tip though: If the minor-key verse to this song is included, the shifts to major make this great tune twice as effective! Consider adding that to your performance and see how it goes over.
It's remind me school day's 35 year's back I use to sing a song in school age wonderful word's
Toffe clip op naar de volgende
They'll be no more war again! How about those lyrics! Peace!
It’s time to sing again after the Covid crisis
Dat we de Luc nog zo mogen bezig zien
I play this song everytime the stock market is up!I also have a dog-turd cigar and a Chivas-neet!You can say I have had a great time since Donald Trump was elected Presiden!!Good times,Blue Walleye!
Love this video! I have to watch it at least once a day. Love the song even though it does not ring true in the real world. One thing that spoils it for me in the video, on the balcony there is an older shorter man putting his arms around a young woman's waist and she is smiling but it does not go to her eyes the smile and wish she had stood at the back and he was at the front. I love the little boy at the beginning going around and the group singing and smiling faces. The video lifts one up! Just the man on the balcony I don't like but try to overlook that! I bet he didn't ask permission to put his arms around her waist. Also, this is THE best version of this song! Well done to the group!!
_"...there is an older...man putting his arms around a young woman's waist...I bet he didn't ask permission to put his arms around her waist."_ From the costumes and celebratory music, I deduce this video was set around VE Day in 1945. It was socially acceptable at that time for men to take such liberties with women, and women, for their part, were accustomed to it. It's pointless to apply 2022 ethics to 1945 realities. Kudos to the producers for authenticity.
@@frisco21 sorry whether this went on in 1945 or not that is no excuse to have it in the video and it may not have been acting on the man's part!
@@paulinecauston8811 ...Why do you jump to the assumption that the man was taking an immoral liberty with her? Does it occur to you that perhaps they are boyfriend/girlfriend?
@@frisco21 Not by her false smile and her eyes!!!!! I am not jumping to any assumptions! I was just saying it might NOT be acting. You don't know more than me on that scene!
@@paulinecauston8811 ... _"You don't know more than me on that scene!"_ Exactly. That's why I resist assumptions/speculation. I take the images at face value and don't question the motivation of the actors. You, however, want to see something dark and creepy where I only see happy people. To each his own.
How long ago was this video made and how many people in the video are still alive?
The WW2 vets are my heroes
😍😍😍👏👏👏
The lead seems to be playing General Douglas MacArthur who lead the U.S. efforts in Asia, not Europe. Good singing anyway. Enjoyed it.
+AQuietNight He seems like a Patton/MacArthur blend or something.
Thats what I thought as well, I think it might be the glasses
And he has a 101st patch. Lol.
He looks like a bad WWII movie threw up and fell into a dumpster fire.
It still works for both theaters in WW2, and beyond.
😊😊😊
Where can I find more of this group's performances?
hello my name is goku Rulez i love this song
This is how I feel with Dan Snyder no longer being the Redskins’ owner!
Most of the groups who try to imitate 1940s singers are terrible, this is one of the better ones. I love this song anyway, I know it was written for FDR's campaign, but to me it reminds me of the end of WW2. (Even though the coming years weren't going to be "happy" due to the Cold War, but still.
Mitch Miller's version will always be my favorite though. :)
That is Great! Én is szeretem ezt a dalt. Who is that beautiful woman in the middle?
qui à des infos sur ce formidable groupe ? merci...
Le 26 & 27 /07/ 2014 Le groupe sera a LICHTAART( Kasterlee) BELGIQUE
This would be better if my phone wasn’t acting up and making it difficult to play.
good job, but one little detail faux pas, your time line suggests WWII era (early 1940's) but your American flag in the background has 50 stars which didn't come to be until the late 1950's, there were only 48 stars on the flag during the 1940's
Thanks, Thomas. You have an eye for detail. We're just a group of Belgian amateur re-enactors. Some faux pas might indeed creep in. Hope you enjoyed the video.
The general singing was better he look the right guy for the song
Female on the far right singing looks the part ww2 era...
Yea!
Female on the Far Right? You mean Eva Braun?
World War Two, I love you!
imaqtpie
The world war 2 village people
The Democratic party victory song!
I like that guy who’s up their and standing next to those three girls and dancing with one of them a little bit. If he’s still alive, I wish I could meet him and tell him he should really consider voting republican even though this is a democratic song. They shouldn’t get all the cool songs. I remember shortly after Clinton got in there, they were playing Yesterday’s Gone by Fleetwood Mac. Why not play something that good when a right wing president wins?
He's dressed as MacArthur.
Trump did, of course some of them objected, nuts to them.
That one little girl looks like she’s barely enjoying it.
Probably prefers some hideous noise mislabeled "music".

TUCKANDROLLE it’s kind of ironic that you commented that on the unofficial Democratic theme song since 1930.
