I’m 52, and have been listening to it since FNM “Epic” got popular and I realized Patton had another “real” band, and he simply was replacing Moseley. FNM is its own incredible thing. But the original Bungle album is, to me, a masterpiece like no other. There is not one, single weak part of this album. Even Houses of the Holy has a weak part. It’s too short. Nothing’s Shockjng is nearly perfect. Masters of Reality, check. Rock for Light. Yep. Mr. Bungle’s self titled debut is the single perfect work of art. Extreme. Chill. Twisted. Funny and shocking. Scary. Relatable. I mean everyone writes a song about the actual feeling of losing one’s hearing, right? Every other band has a creaking rope noose for a song intro which leads to a jazz fusion rollick evil show tune crooning nightmare orgasm rope nap revenge idol meditation song, with a French cafe outtro? Right? Right. Do Squeeze Me Macaroni. Please please. Wheeze and sneeze with ease in my Levi jeans.

Great work! My son and I used to play this together as a father-son bonding exercise (he plays guitar). But we didn't play it quite this accurately :) I always found the weird part at around the 4 minute part to be the hardest but I think this video will help a lot. I thought it was interesting that you play the first main riff section using slap bass, because I didn't hear Trevor playing it that way, but I've never seen them do it live.

What a great father-son bonding activity! Yeah it's kind of hard to make out what he's playing exactly for the intro riff, but this is my best interpretation based off of what I hear and the rare live videos that exist (club lingerie performance mostly)

I need to bust out my headphones@@Skid_marq, as my laptop, even with external speaker, just doesn't have enough bass response to hear everything Dunn does (Sadly my Mr Bungle CD was stolen - my house was robbed, and they grabbed all the cds by the player - and the player. The joke on them was that the cds were all Bungle and other weirdness - unsellable to most).
Because it sounds like you are playing even more notes than I can hear - those walks right off the top? What you play sounds better than what I hear on the Bungle version, but Dunn is kinda buried under an avalanche of sound at times. Headphones!
But it is certainly stuff the Maestro would write and play, so I I am most impressed by your ear and your chops.
I've been on a bit of a Bungle CZcamss spiral recently, which is how you came into my feed. I imagine you''ve done some digging yourself, but if you have not seen the show from the Warfield 4/20 (hey!) 1992 do check it out. I saw them on that tour, but at a scuzzy little club on the Jersey shore.
It was mayhem, my girlfriend was terrorified, and Dunn was amazing. Sweat was pouring out of Trey's mask.

Checked it out with some headphones - you a probably correct sir! Dunn is a busy little boy, playing way more than I ever thought/realized. There is still lots of other musics going on, but with the 'phones I finally heard what you heard all along.
It is INTENSE on cranked up headphones...

It's a Tim Salas bass, he is a bass guitar luthier from California. This bass is one of a kind! I saw it my local guitar shop, and I just had to try it out because it was beautiful
