Well did I tell you before
When I was up
Anxiety was bringing me down
I'm tired to listening to you
Talking in rhymes
Twisting around to make me think
You're straight down the line
All you do to me is talk talk
If every sign that I see complete
Then I'm a fool in your game
And all you want to do
Is tell me your lies
Won't show the other side
You're just wasting my time
All you do to me is talk talk
When every choice that I make is yours
Keep telling me what's right and what's wrong
Don't you ever stop to think about me
I'm not that blind to see
That you've been cheating on me
You're laughing at me when I'm up
Crying for me when I'm down
You're laughing at me when I'm up
Crying for me
All you do to me is talk talk

Crucial 1982 pop song. Love it.
I was 11 years old when this song came on the radio in 82'. What a great decade for music.
This song reminds me when me & my now husband were boyfriends..💖✨
It doesn't come much better than this.

Talk Talk Talk Talk Classic Man!!!!!!
The first time I heard it, it was in 1982 when I was 12 years old and still as good as it was yesterday.
Goose bumps everytime
A brilliant and in many ways underrated classic song. Great stuff!
I grew up in Northern California through to my late teens and then joined the Navy and got stationed in Sunny San Diego, 91X was a killer station for alternative rock, same as KROQ in Los Angeles. Very best of the 80’s as a young adult, really still kids we were. What a friggin blast! The energy’s never been the same since and as I look back on those times , it’s nice to see so many young people now listening to what we as a generation grew up on. There will never be a time period like the 70’s and 80’s again, but time continues and hopefully with all these young people and kids starting to listen to what their parents grew up on, it’ll make a difference in the music that they make today and in the future.
In a parallel universe, only 80’s music is played. I idolized 91X and KROQ fm
Me too and they are very underrated!!!
Absolutely Brilliant !!
The 80's were a great time to be a teenager, weren't they? Love & peace to all of you who were there.
This song's only flaw is it's too short. There's something very satisfying about it, but once it ends I still feel I didn't get enough of it.
A radio station in wy or co, years ago were being bought out by a company that were using it for talk radio. This song was played for 24 hours straight until they relinquished control...
@john You must be a happy person, @john, and wish others to be happy as you. You're a good person, @john.

Paul Webb. Absolutely top notch bass work.

Oh yes, love the 80's. To bad I didn't appreciate back then but I sure do now.
I was 28 in 1982 and living in Manhattan when this song was released and it portrays the urgency of out existence at that time.
Killer song. Period.
Great Song ! !
+ Julia Hamilton One of my favs, still. And, I have listened to decades of music, with a wide range of styles, yet, still Love this Song!!! It even has a fairly deep message, that I identify with. That's definitely missing in today's music. I read, that the music 'died' in the 2000's. With the advent of tech in music, all the songs have algorythms, (is that the word?) lol. Based on some standardized rhythm, or set of sounds, the computers make, they adapt this, to all the popular music. People like it, because it's psychology, that people like 'familiarity', so they capitalize on this fact and all music is so similar, because: you've heard it before! No one is pushing for better 'artistic license', better lyrics, we, the public MUST get off our arses and DEMAND BETTER, from the performers. Don't support lame-o 'artists'! Don't listen to them, buy their music, or go to their concerts, they will definitely be Forced to change when no one is Buying, they don't make any $$$money$$$, they HAVE to CHANGE!!! This is HOW the COOL 1980's (and 20's-80's generations DID it! By Protesting. By Not Buying into the culture's crap and demanding better!!! Hence, the 'counter-culture'!!!
I was 25 in the early 80s this song is awesome I'm still reliving the 80s at the reflex
Música espetacular
Unforgettable 😢
talk talk i love this band :)
Long Live 80s music!!!!! British new wave rules!!!!!!!
These guys were one of the very best 80's sounds there was. Fantastic. Their later stuff was brilliant too, not mainstream by any means, maybe not hugely commercial, but very worthy and always with great vocals. I love this band.
I totally agree with you.
So much energy in this song!

Like one of those peaple that just talk talk talk wasting my time 😎love the 80s...
I missed the 80's. :(
For lack of good music today, Im rediscovering lots of bands from 80´s. Talk Talk has incredible songs beyond the good old hits wich were the tunes of my chilhood. My favouryte album is "the colour of the spring" 1986. Rithm, melody and harmony, this songs have that we dont listen anymore.
rip mark hollis , a true genius
I've never been a big fan of 1980s Techno Pop, but this one just gets it. Back in the 1980s, I liked bands like The Plimsouls, The Ramones, and The Smithereens. I also liked Ultravox, The Stranglers, X, and The Psychedelic Furs.
me too. I just listened to 'golden brown' by the Stranglers, and 'Blitzkreig Bop, by the Ramones. Remember Squeeze's 'Cool for Cats'??? And adam and the Ants 'Ant Music'; 'so, unplug the jukebox and do us all a favor "Antmusic"
Well I'm standing here looking at you
What do I see? I'm looking straight through
It's so sad when you're young
To be told you're having fun
So unplug the jukebox
And do us all a favor, yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah, that music's lost its taste
So try another flavor
